Even though Vince is back, HHH taking over while he was on vacation turned everything around and it just kept going. The end of Cody/Roman had us all going "uh oh, fingerpoke of doom 2" but they never missed a beat. Now it'll be interesting if they pull the trigger on Jey vs Roman at Summerslam
Is it less alcohol a thought it was less calories but wee drink stella and its the same company ps i have stop buying stellas on the Desperados now beer and tequila
Thought the men's ladder match was a bit botchy, but giving the case to Priest is a seriously interesting choice going forward. Also, Logan Paul being there was a bonus, a real natural heel.
When I heard Cena go on his "Mania in London" speech, one thought came into my mind that maybe I'm just cynical but I think it will actually happen for one reason: Once you do Mania in London, when a while later you announce Mania in Saudi-Arabia, they'd feel in a very safe position to pull that off since when people complain they could say "Well you loved it in London, now you complain we want to bring it to other countries around the world?"
I don't see the London mania happening until 2026 if it even happens. I really hope they bring another Wrestlemania to Indianapolis! I was too young when it happened the last time!
No there will be too much of a backlash (pun intended) if they take WM to Saudi. Plus there is a precedent already, we have had a Summerslam here and whilst ages ago, it's clearly demonstrated that a big 4 PPV works in the UK. Wembley would be the only viable choice I think.
There’s a difference between the UK and Saudi. UK has always supported the wwf and the fans are into it. The clash at the castle show the summerslam with Bret vs Davey boy and now money in the bank? That screams give them wrestlemania. Saudi would have to buy a wrestlemania. Unfortunately all Saudi shows suck the fat one and the fans don’t get behind anything
Becky doesn't need to win a MITB. That said, the mark in me really, *really* wants her to win one before she ultimately retires. She's literally been the runner up in every single Women's MITB.
I feel like this bloodline story has elevated Solo more than any of the rest of the members. He may not be a main eventer on his own at the moment, but he's damn sure a star in WWE. No one knew who he was before the storyline. Cool stuff!
Agreed, Solo benefited the most as Zayn had already gotten quite a bit of exposure on the main roster and made himself a fixture as a midcard heel. Although his face turn and how big of a deal it turned into should be commended, Solo was no one save "that other Uso from NXT who does Umaga stuff." and now may be on the way to becoming the next in line for Roman to beat (Jey isn't winning and I'm seriously entertaining a still non-bloodline aligned Jimmy turn).
The show was really good, but the finish of Seth VS Finn was a bit disapointing. Rollins took a shotgun dropkick and two double foot stomps on the outside of the ring, one shotgun dropkick in the ring, and still managed to evade the final double foot stomp and win. Kinda wild 😂
It was my first PPV I’ve attended live and it was freaking awesome best live show I’ve been to and had so much fun I can argue that Cena might’ve had the bigger pop than Knight but that might’ve happened because it was a surprise
Thank you Brian for summing up the truth. This is probably the best WWE has been as a product for as long as I can remember. Given that nostalgia often paints the past in a flattering light, I would stick my neck out and say that the current booking + wrestling level of WWE beats even that of the Attitude Era.
Just wanna thank you for doing this n for good reasons. My water heater went out this morning n was stressing over it. Took a break, saw you uploaded this video, so I watched it. While watching, it relaxed my brain n had me thinking more clearly. So lets just say I fixed the water heater after this video. So thanks again for calming the nerves😂 Even tho LA Knight didn't win. Honestly, did he really need to tho?!
Bit disappointed that Rick O’Shea didn’t get more of a hometown pop. I know he’s Irish but it’s only over the road, and a I’m half-Irish Englishman, I thought we had a bit more synonymity than that
Thing with LA Knight, as it stands, he could walk out on a show and challenge the champion and no one would really bat too much of an eye. He doesn't need the MitB as a stepping stone to get over, whereas Priest has kind of flittered aimlessly in the midcard since debuting and not really managed to get over that top step. Knight would benefit from it, and be entertaining with it, sure. But he doesn't need it. By the same token, Priest could probably get over (particularly if they would let Finn get some actual credibility as a top heel so Priest can do a Batista on him). But Priest needs the leg up more.
I was lucky enough to be at MITB and it was incredible. Smackdown the night before was enjoyable with 2 title matches but MITB was next level. We're being really spoilt in the UK at the moment with wrestling shows after years of what seemed like neglect so long may it continue
I'm fine with Priest winning MITB. Build Knight up, have him beat Theory for the U.S Championship at Summerslam. I was wondering why Ronda was getting her own video package before the match, makes sense after Shayna turned on her. Shayna doesn't want to play second fiddle to her. Drew vs. Gunther is going to be a banger. Iyo winning will freshen up the womens championship scene. Cody winning was not a surprise. Cena coming out was fun to see. Usos being the first ones to pin Roman made sense, especially since Jey isn't going to be winning the belt. At least they get to get ONE over on Roman.
I just don't get shayna turning on Rhonda randomly late in the match? Maybe if they were in trouble and clearly about to lose it might make sense, but why not do it literally any other time?
If you ever watched that documentary on Roman after he beat Brock at wrestlemania. He laid all this out he wants to elevate his cousins and make them the main events of the company
There's something special about an international crowd for a big event that can't be matched. Also, every match was at least good, so that always makes a PLE more entertaining to watch. In terms of storyline, I thought of something that, while not very original could be interesting for the Judgement Day. I like the idea of Dom Mysterio winning a title of some kind so that Finn is the only one not holding a championship despite being the leader. That can allow him to get jealous and eventually turn on the group or get kicked out in a believable way for his character. I think it could be an interesting way to break up the group (despite the fact that I would really like to see them continue being a group because I find them really entertaining).
The main event proves that a great storytelling match can eclipse any kind of spot fest match . Roman's expression alone in that match made it worth watching. With this bloodline storyline he probably got into that elite GOAT status wrestler.
“Spotfest match” yet still had over booked lockouts and a ref bump you can’t complain about other companies doing it then loving it for this reason 🤦🏻♂️
Spotfest? You mean like almost every Uso's match ever? I agree that storytelling is a bigger driver of a match. That said, there are many matches that have high spots and great storytelling. This match had some of both. So did Omega vs Ospreay. I will say it is refreshing to see WWE actually do some matches where wrestling is the focus. I am surprised Vince hasn't gotten rid of that yet since he has been back.
I've seen a few people online say this wasn't a good show. Personally, I thought it was great. I live in London and even though I didn't go to this show, I really enjoyed it. I was ok with Priest winning even though me and my friends will wanted LA Knight to win. The Usos winning had us all screaming with joy. Cena coming out was a surprise even thought I've seen some speculate that he was only there to tease Mania coming to London since AEW are holding All In at Wembley Stadium. Overall, I enjoyed it. I give it a solid 8/10...... also, my and my friends all laughed when crowd started calling Roman "tribal wanker".
People like what they like. I didn't watch the show. I keep up with WWE through social media and get my wrestling elsewhere. At the same time, I know a lot of people don't want to see Stardom or NJPW or Noah like I do. I am sure Cena showing up was a great moment for people who like him.
Some wrestling fans "If there isn't a Canadian Destroyer off of a 10 meter ladder through a flaming table wrapped in barbwire, is it even a Ladder match?"
even with some small weird stuff, without a doubt one of the best women mitb matches I can recall. vega looked great, hope she has something coming in the future.
Yet again the audience outside of the United States were loud all night. The UK and Puerto Rico are so invested and it really helps that the shows are so good. Do the United States audience not care?
The numbers they've gotten so far in ticket sales may have been a major factor in the WWE considering Wrestlemania in the U.K. that and PPV buys not being as big of a deal anymore. The gates and merch sales could more than make up for it along with a pan-European viewership. I mean, transportation is no joke for something this big, but if a "pissant" company like AEW can get a massive crowd at Wembley, imagine what they could do with Roman, Brock, Cody, Zayn et al.?
@@horgh_japanYeah seriously. If AEW can draw that much when they’re bottoming out in viewership and attendance in the states. If WWE can say they’re finally bringing the biggest show to the UK, they may just sell out the building full stop two nights in a row

Pointless. Drew vs. Gunther, yes please! Go Iyo!! WWE had better not mess it up with her. The ending to the man event was perfect.
I know Punk cashed in on Edge in 08 so it’s happened before, but I can see them making it a big deal if it were to happen today. I can hear the announcers saying something to the likes of “The sins of the past coming back to haunt the Ultimate Opportunist.”
Annoying "technically" man here to point out that WWE Backlash wasn't an international show. Puerto Rico is part of the United States. Still has that "neglected crowd is pumped" feel to it, so I get where you were going.
The crowd singing "if you hate Roman, stand up" then cutting to Roman sitting and pouting in the corner, saying; "this is the worst place in the world," made me LOSE IT 😂😂😂 You know Heyman went and told him to play into it, since they were talking when it happened lmao. Little moments like that make Romans new character such a good time to watch. Cody still should have won tho, just saying.
Theyve been building Damian Priest far longer than LA Knight so it makes sense for him to win, though he should have been winning more going into the match. LA Knight being on Smackdown had no chance of winning with Roman Reigns as champion, far too protected. So he wouldn't have been cashed in on. No way would LA Knight end Romans reign. Pun intended
Well, that may be true but he would have until July 1, 2024 to cash in, he could have easily waited until someone defeated Roman or when he's vulnerable and at his lowest with no one to protect him.
Priest is being rewarded for the Bad Bunny stuff kind of like Bam Bam for LT back in the day. Priest was pushed once, then, after his feud with the Miz went nowhere (remember the zombies?), was placed into Judgement Day because he's kind of big and the WWE needed someone to be the Batista. Priest is too old to go after Reigns and do much of anything save waste his MITB. But the WWE did have Theory and Corbin waste their MITB cash-in, so... ya know... LA Knight is over, but the WWE probably just smell TNA whenever he's around and hate that. He was never supposed to get over and the WWE have a horrible track record with "unexpectedly over" acts (see Otis, Fandango et al.). Look at the WWE's reaction to Becky getting over as a face by going heel on Charlotte. The WWE (or is that only McMahon?) HATE when fans don't go along with their plans.
I left this comment in another video today. When you start thinking like oh he's protected oh this and that will never happen its not fun anymore. Story wise priest needs no briefcase he is a well-established anti-hero. Fin Balor also lost like a complete retard again dude and his god finishes getting distracted. So that makes priests win even less good. LA KNIGHT outside if he is winning or who is he cashing in on. IS MADE FOR THE briefcase atm. He and the briefcase for 7 8 months is just free money. It's this WWE thinking Vince thinking of which triple h shares I guess. PULL THE TRIGGER WHEN WE SAY WE PULL THE TRIGGER NOT THE FANS. Even if that hurts the product the reaction and over all money.

edit: also the reaction during ref bump during the last match was probably a legitimate wail since one of the ref's legs got caught in the middle rope, probably he felt the rope grazed a ballsack and got him startled
Would've preferred that honestly. Ko is the best comedic wrestler in WWE right now.
"I speak French I should know what they're saying"
@@elchomper.1063 I’m sorry but you cannot turn down someone like the goat John cena bra I’ll take cena over anyone 😂
WWE's run of PPVs for the past year or so has been unreal. I've never though I'd say this.
@@ReflectionOfPerfection I'd like it, but I don't think they will.
Honestly, fuck it. Have all PLEs outside of the US lol. Backlash and MiTB proved just how important a hot crowd is to telling the story
Show was incredible and atmosphere there live was great. Cena’s pop was huge!
John cena the goat 🐐
Ah, Bud lite - the beer no British man would ever drink. Because who drinks a beer with less alcohol in it.
Is it less alcohol a thought it was less calories but wee drink stella and its the same company
ps i have stop buying stellas
on the Desperados now beer and tequila
Thought the men's ladder match was a bit botchy, but giving the case to Priest is a seriously interesting choice going forward.
Also, Logan Paul being there was a bonus, a real natural heel.
I love this show and one of my favourites. I was born in London and makes me proud to see the crowd being incredible.
@@atenchifanI’d love that too
@@atenchifanPat McAfee would get a monster pop there
No there will be too much of a backlash (pun intended) if they take WM to Saudi.
Using am ATM as the screen is the best part of this video
According to Dave Meltzer, the Main Event at Wrestlemania 40 is going to Reigns vs. Rhodes II for the Championship Title.
Cool stuff!
When we get the Solo destroying Roman match he will be made for life.
Solo is a fat bum
Agreed, Solo benefited the most as Zayn had already gotten quite a bit of exposure on the main roster and made himself a fixture as a midcard heel. Although his face turn and how big of a deal it turned into should be commended, Solo was no one save "that other Uso from NXT who does Umaga stuff." and now may be on the way to becoming the next in line for Roman to beat (Jey isn't winning and I'm seriously entertaining a still non-bloodline aligned Jimmy turn).
Bloodline is boring and gone on too long, almost years of the same shit
It is Siryn not Phoenix, because she is Irish and redheaded. There was a rumor going around that she was playing her in the new Deadpool movie
my man 🤟🏼 have watched your videos almost every night for 2-3 years now. my favorite wrestling channel
I thought i heared the Amazing Red namedrop ...but i didnt believe it till you mentioned it ...wow
Finn balor finishes in wwe :d. it was GOD at this point again that distracted him.
I agree
I feel like their semi-final match to getting to the title in the first place was better.
It was my first PPV I’ve attended live and it was freaking awesome best live show I’ve been to and had so much fun I can argue that Cena might’ve had the bigger pop than Knight but that might’ve happened because it was a surprise
Holy shit that Vega/Stark ladder spot!
Thank you Brian for summing up the truth. This is probably the best WWE has been as a product for as long as I can remember. Given that nostalgia often paints the past in a flattering light, I would stick my neck out and say that the current booking + wrestling level of WWE beats even that of the Attitude Era.
The between the ropes wrestling is far superior to the attitude era hands down.
John cena saying wrestlemania in London was freaking life changing it’s definitely happening now ❤
Thanks for the review. It was around 8 pm on Saturday when I looked up the start time to find out it was already over.
Roman getting hit right in the yambags was the single funniest wrestlemania moment ever for me
GIVE LA KNIGHT A PUSH FINALLY
I had to laugh at Ronda and Shayna with the M on their foreheads.
The Cena / Grayson Waller bit was pretty clever given what's happening in the Ashes right now. 🏏
Bit disappointed that Rick O’Shea didn’t get more of a hometown pop. I know he’s Irish but it’s only over the road, and a I’m half-Irish Englishman, I thought we had a bit more synonymity than that
I was at Money in the Bank in person and whilst I've previously been to WrestleMania 35, my experience from the other night just top the latter!
I remember watching the Usos having killer matches on Superstars & hoping the face paint would help them get used. Seems like a lifetime ago now
Money in the Bank was excellent but we all new who was going to win like Seth, Gunner, Usos,Cody glad to see Drew and Cena back
Thing with LA Knight, as it stands, he could walk out on a show and challenge the champion and no one would really bat too much of an eye.
Maybe if they were in trouble and clearly about to lose it might make sense, but why not do it literally any other time?
the bloodline storyline is one of the best things in pro-wrestling these days.
Loved Wade Barrett’s one man band of destruction line
The main event proves that a great storytelling match can eclipse any kind of spot fest match .
Roman's expression alone in that match made it worth watching.
With this bloodline storyline he probably got into that elite GOAT status wrestler.
“Spotfest match” yet still had over booked lockouts and a ref bump you can’t complain about other companies doing it then loving it for this reason 🤦🏻♂️
LMFAO "Roman's expression alone in that match made it worth watching". Holy crap.
There's a reason Roman Reigns is the guy.
Carrying the whole industry right now
WWE been on fire far as PLE lately no lie
People always say it wasn't a good show mainly cause they dare not give wwe credit sometimes
People like what they like. I didn't watch the show. I keep up with WWE through social media and get my wrestling elsewhere. At the same time, I know a lot of people don't want to see Stardom or NJPW or Noah like I do. I am sure Cena showing up was a great moment for people who like him.
@@rriggs6547good for you
Some wrestling fans "If there isn't a Canadian Destroyer off of a 10 meter ladder through a flaming table wrapped in barbwire, is it even a Ladder match?"
Let me guess, those people online were pro-AEW accounts?
even with some small weird stuff, without a doubt one of the best women mitb matches I can recall. vega looked great, hope she has something coming in the future.
Yet again the audience outside of the United States were loud all night. The UK and Puerto Rico are so invested and it really helps that the shows are so good.
Do the United States audience not care?
USA wants sports entertainment dammit lol
US has been spoiled with Wrestling.
7:22 Barrett with the reference of the 3MB, you love to see it
Lex on Wednesday? Awesome. We get to relive the greatest countout victory in wrestling history.
I almost didn’t watch MITB until I learned it was in London. The European audiences are great, they make watching from home so much more fun.
Is anyone but me going to acknowledge that this is the largest pop cena has ever received.... I mean ever
Happy 4th of July Brian Zane and anyways I would like to know if you could do the review of wwf wrestlemania 7 from Sunday Night March 24th 1991
I think they'll be keeping a beady eye on the AEW Wembley show and how that goes if they were to ever consider Mania in the UK
@@CSwizzy69 Alas, I read somewhere that the WWE seems to prefer having the city PAY for the privilege of hosting Wrestlemania. If true, then I'm not sure if the city of London with its multiple football teams and various sporting and non-sporting events would be willing to shell out for the WWE.
@@horgh_japan Well if they don’t pay, WWE has no obligation to go there. It sucks for the fans but they’re running a business and if a city is paying millions to get the show, they’ll take that on top of what they make on the show itself
I'll have to go back and check, but I think it was Wade on commentary that namedropped Amazing Red.
Ricochet should've known not to go through with the rest of the Spanish Fly spot, if Logan okay'd it, they BOTH should've known better. Looked awful, wasn't worth trying to save with such terrible footing.
Logan said Ricochet just went for it and he went along with it as best he could once it was happening...they’re lucky it didn’t go even worse than it did all things considered
Cool video as always Brian, you have a Happy 4th of July sir
Amazing Red is Zelina Vega's cousin. Maybe he will pop up for an appearance sometime
Me and my older brother watched the event and we enjoyed it from start to finish. We were glad that Damian and IYO won the briefcases in the men's and women's matches and we felt they were rightly deserving of it. We were definitely caught off guard by some things that happened especially Shayna turning on Ronda, we were like "Whoa" because we weren't expecting that at all. Now we're looking forward to seeing where things go heading into SummerSlam. I give MITB the vote of an A as well.
UK ain't getting mania unless the UK pays for it that's how it works. So I wouldn't get excited about a UK mania
Man, I hate to say that I’m more and more impressed with Paul’s wrestling abilities every time I see him. I’m just old enough not to have watched him on TH-cam and just young enough to still know who he is and what he’s done, so I can’t say I’m a personal fan, but he’s got a talent
Been waiting for this, thanks Brian
Cheap as it may have been nobody does it better than Cena on the stick, the reaction was crazy
I would much rather hear Austin, The Rock, Macho Man, Piper, Christian, Punk, Jericho, or LA Knight. Cena is too much like Superman for me. I prefer Batman.
Mick foley is the king of cheap pops
I'm ready for Sky vs Asuka.
The world title match was too short, and first half was boring.
The best match that I seen on the show, was the womens MITB.
Credit to Rhonda for doing something I'm sure she has a lot of say in. I'm very interested in that storyline
The bumps in the ladder matches seemed extra scary this year ... probably bc we don't see that stuff very often anymore.
Since Summerslam marks the 1 year anniversary of the Triple H era can you do a video or rank the PLE he put together
ALSO i like how by not stacking the card it gives matches alot more time to breathe and find rhythm but I feel like the Charlotte/Asuka and KO Sami/Pretty Deady matches could of been on the card
I’m assuming the next vid will be a WWW episode of the Lex Express??😁😁
Please please please do one for Mr Kennedy in the WWE. Both of their careers mirrored each other lol
I dont think anyone got the Cena joke. Waller was talking about how he could give Cena a rub in Australia. And Cena said, he didn't want to rub Waller in Australia lol
Wait... the cash in is for any belt now?
If LA Knight wasn’t going to win, then Priest was the next best choice.
Happy for Liv Morgan. But why beat Alba and Isla (two UK women) if you’re just gonna Break up Ronda and Shayna two weeks later? Pointless.
Drew vs. Gunther, yes please!
Go Iyo!! WWE had better not mess it up with her.
The ending to the man event was perfect.
The last 10 minutes of the main event was a absolute masterpiece. Cole freaking out on commentary after the ref bump was absolute gold in my opinion
I could see Priest having a run to put the belt on Edge after. A decent transitional run.
I’d like to see the opposite I’d like to see edge get a run and have him be cashed in on
I know Punk cashed in on Edge in 08 so it’s happened before, but I can see them making it a big deal if it were to happen today.
The right people won MITB in my opinion, great show
The crowd singing "if you hate Roman, stand up" then cutting to Roman sitting and pouting in the corner, saying; "this is the worst place in the world," made me LOSE IT 😂😂😂
You know Heyman went and told him to play into it, since they were talking when it happened lmao. Little moments like that make Romans new character such a good time to watch.
Cody still should have won tho, just saying.
My initial thought was that Becky’s ring gear was Phoenix-inspired, but it apparently was not! It’s Siryn, actually!
I especially enjoyed the "Tribal wanker" chants.
Von Wagner and Bron Breakker played 2 of those zombies
Damm that PLE is amazing in the UK. The civil war main event was crazy. But amazing. Amazing card top to bottom
Haven't seen a bad wwe show this year? Mania Night 2 was kinda brutal for many reasons 😂
