Else i would say best necromancy is perhaps Dominions 5 Necromancer in Spellforce Conquest of Eo, sounds promising, too, since there are only 3 classes and necromancer is one of them, this should mean a lot of dev time was spent on necromancy.
Hi Cheb Loving your content so much. Keep up the good work. Speaking of Necromancy, I recommend checking out Tree of Savior. It got some nice summoner classes including Necromancer and Warlock with interesting mechanics. Warlock has a skill that can reanimate a boss with its skills and another skills that enable you to ride said reanimated boss and use their skills yourself. Meanwhile the necromancer could summon skeletons, corpse shield and corpse towers off a corpse reservoir you filled by killing mobs and using certain skills. There was a 3rd class that was focused on summoning zombies as well. The game had multiclassing up to 4 classes if I remember correctly. The first of the 4 being the basic class so in case of necromancer and warlock ,the first/basic class would be mage for example. Also one of the best necromancy systems I've personally ever witnessed in a videogame are Dan's necromancy mod and Bear's necromancy mod for TES IV: Oblivion. I highly recommend you take a look at these mods if you've not yet.
@@chebgonaz Cheers! Just a heads up, afaik, Dans necromancy isn't compatible with Bear's necromancy. Btw, I forgot to mention but if you don't mind private servers, there is an upcoming WoW private server called Azeroth at War. They customized a playable necromancer class there with interesting synergy with summons and lich form or monstrosity form depending on build. The youtuber Mcdoubles has a few detailed early alpha gameplay videos about necromancer class there if you're interested to check it out. There is also an online card game focused on summoning including necromancy called Minion Masters but its one of these games where you summon out of thin air. Yet, there's fun to be had I believe. I'm a big fan of necromancy in games as well. Glad I've found another big necromancy fan. If you're ok with it, I can share some more ideas and games.

Great video! Question: did you ever cover Spellforce: Conquest of Eo? I quite liked its necromancer road and the floating, moving wizard tower gameplay, even if the implementation of the game was a bit lacking imo.
@@chebgonaz Imagine Age of Wonders with a Static map. It has three classes, one of which is Necromancer. It has an overworld map, and turn based combat. Its fairly polished and from the Spellforce guys so its set in that universe. Its reviewed fairly well. I held off on buying because I demand random maps. Like AoW it is turn based. Would love to see your impressions of it.
Completely rehauled, great changes brought to necromancy, gameplay very strategic now but you probably already knew. Now Dark is really worth playing, for me at least.
I tried AoW 3 after watching your video about it, but I sadly lost interest somewhere in the story mode, so I never even tried the necromancy. It was first game in this genre I tried, and the necromancy campaign was labeled "hard" or "advanced" or whatever it was, so I figured I should play the story mode first, but it ended up taking too long and then another game caught my interest. AoW 4 though seems... well, more. So maybe I will have better luck with this one. Also, tell Jack that his book is great. Master Tiranus is awesome.
I haven't ever played the game's in story mode honestly. I prefer sandboxes for this type of thing. Maybe AoW's style is just not something you're into? If so, I recommend you try the other similar games like Eador and so on. I'll pass the praise on to Jack. He'll love to hear it, thank you.
@@TheHornedKing I would recommend trying sandbox though over story, for sure. Especially as a necromancer. Story will probably railroad you into a specific kind of paladin-like playstyle for significant portions. It's like story mode in starcraft or warcraft. Maybe you only care about the zerg or the necromancers, but playing campaign necessitates first playing humans, orcs, etc etc
@@chebgonaz The campaign for AoW 3 had you start as an elf rogue (which did give me a demon unit and a shadowfiend one), then went on to a draconian druid, a goblin theocrat, an orc mage, and I stopped at a dwarf engineer or whatever it was called. The liked the rogue and the druid, but after that I started to get burn-out. I might go back and actually try the necromancer, and then see if I wanna get AoW 4 after that.
You should have played AoW1 or AoW2 Shadow Magic, you can directly choose to play the undead, and both games have a much faster pacing than AoW3 and AoW4, as you are not as reliant to resarching units, i think thats one of the biggest weakness in terms of gameflow in 3&4, if you cut through the fluff, everything comes with a rearch price ticket and thats probably, quite lame and boring. In the first 2 games you crank out T4 units just by production and its so much faster as you can get them by turn 20. And the undead armies are bigger with 8 units instead of 6.
