"Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover event in history" Me, an intellectual:
In all seriousness, though, I got a fly tying kit for Christmas and I can't tell you how helpful your videos are!

Great fly, Tim. I also enjoyed watching you tie it at the Atlanta Fly Fishing Show last weekend. Q

This is an easy tie--especially if one tied your Squirrel & Herl Bugger before. The latter worked really well for me on the Madison in late Summer. I'm currently tying these to try in Montana. I'll report back on its efficacy. Thanks Tim!

I call that a Zonger. Been tying this style of bugger for a long time now. Counter-wrapping wire through the wing / hackle and tin wire underwrap are additions I make for durability and weight considerations. Nice tie!

made one from memory just now...I added a marabou tail to it. Just in sculpin tan color. With a black zonker strip. Going to fish it tomorrow and see how it does.

Like that colour combo. I’ll tie some up to try out in my local Stillwaters. I generally like my flies/hackles a little sparser on Stillwaters, so I’ll probably strip one side of both hackles and perhaps do fewer wraps. Thanks for the tying inspiration!

Funny enough my zonkers actually float like a dry.

They don’t have chenille in the black and kawfee color down here in the South. Would black and coffee work…?😎. It’s one of the best things about tying your own stuff. “I wonder if that’d work in purple. Or what if I tied a zonker like an Adams. Or a zebra midge in hot pink”. Just tie some up and find out. Thanks for keeping us thinking Tim!

Have you ever thought about combining two different types of patterns just to make one specific pattern that’s pretty much never seen before or never thought of
