Tommy I love you! So many of us do. We appreciate your dedication to the craft and your love for it and experiencing the communal love for music whether that’s praising someone else’s work or talent. Just a class act, you are!
Tommy is truely a national treasure. And a public holiday should be made in his honour and everyone must play guitar on that day. Also a knight wouldn’t be out of the question at this stage, the more happy awesome things happening for 2020 the better
Hey Tommy you are so good at what you do I have been watching you since at least 2003 when I was near retirement spent many a time getting enthusiastic for your cause I believe I saw some Christian texts early on how are you with the Lord , enjoyed your personal zoom show a present from my son Jonathan and Louise she spotted this personal concert and gave it tome for Christmas. I have stage four cancer find your music so emotional at times I am in tears inside keep up the good work as I am sure many people find great relief an joy for listening to I used to play12 string in a church group and just enjoyed the full sound of that instrument however I find it very hard to play these days fingers have lost their strength tips are soft and well I am sure you know the frustration of not being able to play the old songs I think I learnt more in 2years at Cecil sharp house back in the sixties than any other time steel eye span were heavily involved with that place and pPeter Knight the fiddle player threw up his classical career to play with them we used to jam in the local pubs after lessons great crack by the way I believe you are supposed to be sending me a thumb pick and plectrum I am left handed and have found I can change the guitars around but trying to find a left hand pick has eluded me any help would be appreciated as an aside I spent ten years making /tuning musical hand bells for Whitechapel Bell Foundry a very exacting and technical job which I thoroughly enjoyed and it was because I could tune a twelve string by ear that got me my job thanks for bearing with me I cannot express how moving you skills thrill me am sure it was hard work achieving your status Keep on Rocking Tommy E
Saw Tommie in concert in Portland Oregon at Arlene Snitzer Hall about 6 yrs. Ago all I could say was WOW! Enjoyed every delightful moment seeing what this genius can do with His talent. Can't say enough about Him. I would like to shake his hand in appreciation of what he brings not only as a performer but as a human being loving all he is. Thank you Tommie for being so good.
It's amazing; In 2014 I got to have him sign my guitar in a 'meet and great' before a double bill in Knoxville with 'Loren and Mark' (what a show!). Later around 2017 my wife and I- briefly and by pure chance- ran into him at the Vinoy Hotel in St Petersburg, Fl and he actually remembered me! There's more to the story but suffice to say, I'll never forget it! Also of note is Loren Barrigar- post accident- and how he is doing. I pray for Loren and his, and am so grateful for the inspiration I've received therein. He's taken 'a guitar players worst nightmare' and turned it into something truly transcendent.
Tommy begins his day being approachable and then becomes warm, accepting and gracious to humans, regardless of their anomalies. Thanks for being there for me, Tommy!
Approachable lol I seen him curse a guy out in Nashville for nothing really I was shocked . It is sad really cause a guitarist would be nothing if noone was there listening .
Tommy. Imagine : That was one of the most inspirational versions of the song I have ever heard. Thankyou. You are an inspiration. Please continue on with your gift even if it slows!
Thank you so much Tommy for give us a piece of your soul in each song...you are my inspiration, no matter the distance, you'll always be in my mind. Stay safe😉
Full of love. Thank you Tommy! My two-year-old son really loves your music. Now he can recognize Dixie McGuire and he says that AND before the tune begins
Febuary, 2011. Meet and greet. Balboa Theater, San Diego, Ca.. "I wish I could place a rose at your feet for every guitar note you have played." This stands true even now. Endless thanks for the beauty you bring to this world in these tough times. (I play keyboard for seniors and anyone benefitting from therapeutic music, crediting your gift for opening the door for me.) Blessings to you beyond eternity. Kojak said it, "You know who loves you, Baby." Your gift of music is like a world wide hug. ♥️🎼🎶🇺🇲🙏 🦘🦘🦘
While watching your play, why am i so so missing the Phil played with you long before ago? Pray for your health, happiness sincerely. Its always honor to me to see your play again and again.
Lovely to 'Imagine' the evolution of that arrangement. It's like painting in subtle colors of emotion that transcends his wonderful technique, sound, all that good stuff. Thanks Tommy for your pure intent in such an intimate "TE Greatest Hits" experience...
I may look white but I am part Mohawk from the Iroquois nation, and Lewis and Clark is amazingly well crafted but what is more amazing is how he draws all cultures and genders to Imagine that Music can be shared and yes Peace ✌️
Awesome! Your spontaneity and improvisation that comes from your soul and flows out through your fingers and to your listeners is indescribable! You're the best Tommy, and I can't wait to see you in Albany, NY in June! God willing. .
You are such an easy going, kind, honest, friendly guy!! Wish I had known of you a lot sooner than a couple years ago.. Thanks from Dennis 🇺🇸Tommy, The Master of Guitar...
Tommy Always strives for perfection, the audience always comes first and the show must go on. I saw Tommy play at the Glenn Hotel Ipswich Brisbane, Australia in 1985. In a beer garden where it was a seated show, the table front and centre to the stage had a bunch of people talking so loud that when he was playing Windy and Warm you couldn’t here the song. Everyone was so annoyed as was Tommy. He started t play more silent and more silent as the song went on and the whole beer garden (100 plus) sat in silence as the table front and centre was the only noise in the garden. It was a good 30 seconds before they realised they were the only ones making a sound. Then when they all looked up in surprise, Tommy said “ Oh, are you finished? “ “ the rest of us here wouldn’t mind listening to some music but if you still have more to say we can wait!!” The whole beer garden was eyes on this table. One person at the table said “no we’re finished” And Tommy said “ Good we are trying to have a show here and is its so boring there is always the Bar inside!!” They were very rude and when he said this the whole beer garden applauded and the show went on. Tommy was later joined by his Brother Phil. My only regret is that mobile phone were not around in those days. Not only would i have immortalised the show but the exchange would have went viral.
@@geoffsplc Wow, what a cool story, thanks for sharing :D I've met Tommy a few times over the years - I'm running out of guitars for him to sign! The first time was about 15 years ago, so I discovered him much later than you. In 2018 I was at Tommy's gig in London during which Phil sadly passed away. The show nearly got cancelled as there was an old lady in the audience who had to be taken out by an ambulance. There was something eerie that day. Tommy found out after the gig that his brother passed. They made a good duet!
the will to stop what the legend is doing and admit that’s a bad take and start over again from the top is another thing to see and admire 👀 Forever grateful for Sir Tommy’s existence 💯💯💯
Nobody can can come closer to you only guitar player who can play in any genres in Hindu religion there is God of music “Goddess saraswati” who is consider lords of music n God Ganesh who is master of rhythm so I think both God have blessed Tommy 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Tommy. When possible could you arrange a West Coast tour and bring Joe Robinson with you. ? Oh, did I mention I am in So Oregon, lots of friendly folks and fans. : )
Words would not do justice to his songs, the meaning is clear without words sung to the tune!

It’s Never to Late
13:20 For the first time in history Tommy had to start a song again. What else will happen in 2020?! 😭
