Maybe but personally I don't think so, he's a legend of foreign policy but to become a PM in a open democratic republic like India is not easy, Kashmir se Kanyakumari ke dhakke khana rallies Krna vote maangna common man ke issues pe bat Krna mehengai gareebi berozgari and that too trying to talk in local languages especially hindi...I don't think S Jaishankar can do all this grind of a full time PM candidate politician, and more importantly why should he do it ? He's a specialist trained in foreign policy with a 30+ year career in the IFS, he's in the right place at the right time, foreign minister is the best portfolio for him and for Indians to see him there
