Very good review. Your description and details of the straps is spot on. I know because, I own 5 of them and 4 Racer X ones. I have a range of straps from a value of $30 all the way up to $300. About 20 or so straps in all. The Racer X ones are by far and away the most comfortable. I have not bought any other brand since buying Couch Brand guitar straps. I started with the purchase of one Racer X strap, simply based on the fact that it was unique, original, really cool looking, made in the USA, worn by unique artists as well as well known ones. As a stand up player sometimes for a couple of hours almost nightly...I quickly discovered their comfort-ability of the Racer X models. Hence, my purchase of three more in about 6 months. Meaning, I wanted to match them in style and colors to my 10 guitars or so. The comfort is actually due to the material that they are made of and from. Stupid as this sounds, but wearing them is like sitting on a couch. The give and take of the material, feels like air on your shoulder. Like a shock/spring absorber. Yup! Only way I can describe it. Nothing else comes even close.
I love these. Mine have held up incredibly well.
