I love this cream ( german version ) i use it everyday as a night cream for my face neck and feet and i swear by it .... i have been using it for literally 4 years , before i was using Darphin and nuxe hydrating creams ( 50$ ) and i swear the nivea does wonders to my skin .. my night regiment is never complete without the Nivea cream..ladies try it i'm 38 and always get complimented about my skin that looks plumped and hydrated as a 25 yo young lady!! I will never change this cram for another ... thank me later but try to Use the german version is waayyy better than the us one .
I LOVE Nivea Crème (the German version). My grandmother and mother used it all of their lives (the original German version). I'm 50 years old, and have been using it all of my life as well. I have NO wrinkles, and I ALWAYS get compliments on how beautiful and creamy my skin looks!
Have been using this cream months. My skin is flawless. I spent most of my life buying exclusive, expensive face creams. This has been even better for my skin as a senior. Would recommend this to everyone.
I live in spain, my grandparents used this, especially my grandad, they both passed this year, my grandad just a week ago, and I've never had dry skin, but this winter my knuckles started cracking, so I decided to put some on, and the smell man, so nostalgic, I remember going places with my grandpa and the car always smelt like nivea. Also, my dog, which we had to bring with us a year ago, since my grandpa was no longer able to take care of her, goes CRAZY whenever I put it on, because it reminds her of him. Honestly, I'm gonna keep using it, even if my knuckles don't crack anymore, because it reminds me of him
The base ingredients and formula is the same in both German and US/Mexican versions. The DIFFERENCE is, the US/Mexican version contains petroleum, methylchlorisothiazone and methylisothiazolinone (preservatives) which the German Nivea does not. The reason the German version smells like your "European grandmother after a bath" is because those 'other ingredients" listed in it are called fragrance which the US/Mexican version does not contain. So the US/Mexican version may be greasier due to the petroleum and the German version may smell nicer but essentially, they are the same creme. Argue all you want but that's the science behind it. It comes down to Nivea is Nivea; one is less greasy and smells better. That's it. You're welcome.
Those two preservative chemicals added to the formula in the altered version sold here in the USA that is made in Mexico using petroleum based mineral oil instead of the original German formula’s organic based sheep’s lanolin oil is an out and out perversion of the original, which unlike the original can cause all kinds of skin problems in various users to varying degrees. All you have to do is research that aspect a bit, and you’ll find out what I’ve stared is the truth. It’s the same with the current altered versions of Desitin Ointment used for diaper rash, and even what is falsely labeled by Unilever (who purchased Noxema Skin Cream from Proctor and Gamble who in turn had purchased the product from the originators of Noxema - the Noxell Corporation) as Original Formula Noxema Skin Cream. Nothing could be further from the truth than that specific product label! That current formula contain not even one of the original formula’s natural ingredients - it’s all synthetic garbage and causes severe skin rashes in those who have bought it thinking it is the original product just as the current synthetically laden version of Desitin Ointment has done the same to babies - it’s absolutely hideous! There’s a very old adage that has always rung true through the ages: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”
I live in Los Angeles, CA and we have these everywhere. Every pharmacy/drug stores. We even have them in our dollar trees. That's where I first purchased my first one. I love these! I will never go back to anything else - hands down best moisturizer 💛
Wow!!!...I wasn't sure about trying this product but when u both mentioned the old lady who's appearance looked young. I was convinced. Old ladies who look young always have a beauty secret and not all will reveal their secret. Thanks guys!
Even if it made in Mx does not mean that the forums is different, it's the same just due too tax it's convinient for Latin America and north distribution to manufacturing local
My bf use it all the time as his face cream. I used to make fun of him saying that he smells like a grandma. To be honest his face skin is softer than mine. Once i forgot to bring my face cream n i stayed one week at his place n i used his cream (nivea german version) n i hv to say my skin is way softer with this magical cream! :) i am convinced to use it everyday now!
You guys keep mentioning granma when talking about this beautiful cream. I don'd get you Americans, you are really weird people. People of all ages have been using this cream forever, even both sexes. Whatever is normal, for you it is like it is from an alien planet. You are just weird in so many ways, I don't get you. What kind of food have you been eating this whole time!?
It is also made in Japan in cans. I think the made in Mexico and Thailand versions comes in plastic tubs and tubes. The real deal comes in metal tins like shown in the video. Just saying :)
Nope, I buy the Thai version in Malaysia since it is the only version available here and it comes in metal tins :). The Thai version is also closest to the German version, however it still has preservatives. However, I do look forward to ordering the German version online as it is super hard to find it where I'm from physically :)
Scott Asahina im in the u.s.. nyc and i buy the tin it says thailand 😐. i need to try this german stuff because the thailand works great so i can only imagine....
Nivea is my all time favorite moisturizer, my Mom & Nana introduced me to it. Even though it was the version made in USA / Mexico, i'd really love to try out the Nivea made from Germany (the original) :D by the way Nivea's meaning is "Snow White" how cool is that!
I remember using this product as a kid; now I use it every now and then after a good shave. I've always been able to find Nivea Cream easily at any grocery stores.
smallflowertv Yes, you're right. I thought I had the one that's made in Germany, but I checked and it's made in Mexico. While I do love the Mexican made one, I'll be buying the German made one soon.
Can you please tell me the ingredients for the german ver? Mine come in lil blue jars not tins (though I have found some in the tin now) but they are nade in Thailand though originally the ones I use were made in poland
The funny thing is that I watched this video before I purchased the Nivea original Germany cream from Smallflowers website where I found when I search Nivea on GOOGLE. And I did not realize this video was made from the Smallflowers website until I was checking the Herbalind Glycerin Hand Cream video from the website! I love the Nivea cream and the Herbalind Hand Cream. Both are made from Germany, and they just do so well to my hands!
I grew up in Russia and my Mom used Nivea for everything from chapped lips to cracked winter skin. After I moved to the US, I remember buying one small jar in Rite Aid (California). I thought it was watery and never purchased it again. Great Video.
I live in England and just bought the smallest size nivea for less than £1. I had really flaky skin on my forehead and it cleared it within a day! Good stuff!
Nivea can make normal skin greasy on the face..cold creams overload can cause breakouts .., Dry skin benefits from night treatments ..the odd deep moisturising treatment when needed is good

Hi.. i like the review.. :) but i don't use this product.. why.. it contain's parrafin oil and petrolatum and some studies say that they are cancerogenic.. also i avoid propylene glycol in cosmetic product's...
Hi, Mario Losberg. We understand why some people choose to go with the cleanest products possible. In general, that is our preference. But given the popularity of German Nivea. And the amazing results that have been documented, we think it is still a product worth reviewing. We tend to take a moderate approach with all of these things. A good cream, a nice fragrance, an occasional cocktail, etc. These are all things that can be an enjoyable part of life. But it is a decision for each person to make, and we should all do what makes sense to us. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
ok.. i agree with you, it is quality product.. but i don't like ingredient' s from paraffinium liquidium.. that's all.. personally i use some deodorant's and face cream's in category off "natur cosmetic" they are also made in Germany.. and i like one natural deo rollon product from USA.. "naturally fresh" deo crystal it's really good and protect's practically all day.. greet's.. :)
Mario Losberg , I think you are a step ahead of most people in even looking at the ingredients. We agree that in general, the purer the better. The issue with the crystal is that you're still getting a naturally occurring form of aluminum salts. We're big fans of lifestinks deodorant. Very clean and quite effective. I've been using for almost 4 years now. One can can last me for a year! www.smallflower.com/brand/duggan-sisters
I use baking soda as a deodorant! I put mix baking soda in distilled water with some essential oils like peppermint in a small spray bottle! I use this as my deo! Most healthy deo ever and very effective at counteracting smell and drying uo sweat!@@smallflowertv
For several years *Nivea* products have been manufactured by Bierdörff Labs in the outside of Santiago, Chile, for latinamerican countries. But this year 2021 they will stop production for ever. 😥
Sorry we missed this comment a couple months back. I think it would be difficult to say for sure, but it is relatively inexpensive, so it would be worth trying.
OMG i just received my 400 ml tin of Nivea from Smallflower today. Can't wait to start using on my face esp so i can be just like the 97 year old ladies. Dahling. :)
Given that we're down in Chicago and import ours directly from Germany, it would be difficult for us to speak about the Canadian version with certainty. But our understanding is that all North American Nivea is not manufactured in Germany, and it is a different formula.
If you're in Canada, the jumbo tin frequently goes on sale at London Drugs for $6.99.

atatkfighter, thanks for the comment. The hard part is finding the cream that is made in Germany. At least it's hard in the US. We have it though!
smallflowertv Yes, you're right. I thought I had the one that's made in Germany, but I checked and it's made in Mexico. While I do love the Mexican made one, I'll be buying the German made one soon.
But I believe they sell Nivea in the tins like that in the US. Also, my big tub of Nivea that I bought at Walgreens says it's from Hamburg, Germany.
Can you please tell me the ingredients for the german ver?
Mine come in lil blue jars not tins (though I have found some in the tin now) but they are nade in Thailand though originally the ones I use were made in poland

I love Nivea products. My favorite is the Essentially Enriched body creme. It leaves my skin refreshed smooth and shiny
Is that helpful for dark spots??? Answer please
I grew up in Russia and my Mom used Nivea for everything from chapped lips to cracked winter skin. After I moved to the US, I remember buying one small jar in Rite Aid (California). I thought it was watery and never purchased it again. Great Video.
my grandma and mom favourite creme ever
What is wrong with the Mexican version? Doesn't nivea have a standard on quality?
I have 2 of the tiny tins and 1 of the larger tins. wonderful face moisturizer. i love the scent!!
I live in England and just bought the smallest size nivea for less than £1. I had really flaky skin on my forehead and it cleared it within a day! Good stuff!
Nivea can make normal skin greasy on the face..cold creams overload can cause breakouts .., Dry skin benefits from night treatments ..the odd deep moisturising treatment when needed is good
In sweden you can buy the original biggest tin for 4 dollars
hey does this creme makes your skin brighter
Yayyyy i just recieved my 2 small tins of nivea creme ( german brand) there is such a difference with it. I am in lovee. Please stock up on big tins asap
It's basically a petroleum ointment. You apply it over your skin and it prevents moisture from escaping for the time being.
Word of advice tho, this stuff is like Chapstick. Once you start using it your body will naturally cut back on producing oil in that general area to balance itself out. If your some reason you stop using it your skin will dry out in that area until your body glads start producing more oil. Your body's natural oils help lock in moisture.
I'm SO happy I came across this video! There definitely IS a difference between the Mexican and German formulas! That largest tub is what I bought from Amazon (3 of them, in fact) - maybe from YOU GUYS! LOL I use this as my nighttime moisturizer after cleansing my face to wash my makeup off! Thank you so much for this video!!!
Where is the expiry date or time ???
You guys just sold me. Not just to buy this product, but to buy it from you. Sold! Largest size please. Yeah buddy! Thanks!

Which Machine is Used for the production of this Cream
I'm a guy who has dry skin during winter months. Nivea is the bomb, it's the only cream that doesn't irritate my eyes.
Can you guys recommend me a Nivea creme that is good for acne prone skin? I've been suffering from mild acne and now it was treated with BP but left my skin dry and flaky. I need a good creme/moisturizer that won't break me out. I have a very sensitive skin. Can I use these cremes in the review?
I live in Canada. my mom and aunt would always buy the nivea creme. but it always was in the blue tin. but that was a long time ago, has the look of it also changed in canada? is the formula very similar to the german one?
Where can u buy the German one? Bc in my neighborhood all they sell is the 1from Mexico and I notice its greasier ooo I hate greasy stuff I put it on my legs but I want the German kind plz lmk

does it give fairness, if applied on face and body ??
abhishek seebaruth, it will not alter skin color. And we think that is something that really should not be used other than to even out skin tone with spots.
Yes nivea cream is can be use for all parts of ur body and also ur face
Today I went to a store that's in the corner of
My block I went and i saw Nivea so I wanted to see what itI was so I might buy it
Pleas tell me Nivea face cream have pareben
does it work on eczema dry hands cuz I have it really bad
I have chronic eczema and I've managed it over the years with nivea. It's very moisturizing so it attacks one of the reasons for flare ups which is dryness. For me I'd say it works but for my sister who also has eczema, it didn't work for her unfortunately. So I think it's better if you try with the smallest one and see how it works for you. This cream saved me tons of money since I didn't have to resort to prescription creams anymore. I use it as an everyday cream even without flare ups and my skin stays soft and smooth. Hope this helps! :)
+jabadabadoo tnx for the tips im using the cream ryt now and im just browsing the review for it and me too have eczema so tnx

they sell them where i live too....
Does it have spf?
Hi. I just bought Nivea creme today, but I wonder if it's original or not 'cause its made from Thailand. Is it original?
They said the only original one is made in Germany, so I don't think so
its average cream but what i learn and seen and try on my girlfriend skin is urea and glycerin, that 2 ingredients are bomb for dry skin
What is the difference with the German Nivea vs. Mexican Nivea? I thought they were made by the same company.
They are made by the same company, but they are different formulas. Our customers tend to prefer the original.
smallflowertv Thanks. I actually brought the German Nivea which I find more moisturizing. There definitely is a difference.
Sorry for the late reply. Hard to say for sure. But at the price, I would say it would be worth a try.
There are two preservative chemicals added to the formula in the altered version sold here in the USA that is made in Mexico which uses petroleum based mineral oil instead of the original German formula’s organic based sheep’s lanolin oil. The Mexican version is an out and out perversion of the original, which unlike the original can cause all kinds of skin problems in various users to varying degrees. That current formula contains not even one of the original formula’s natural ingredients - it’s all synthetic garbage and causes severe skin rashes in those who have bought it thinking it is the original product just as the current synthetically laden version of Desitin Ointment has done the same to babies - it’s absolutely hideous! There’s a very old adage that has always rung true through the ages: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”

What's it for ? and does it work for face bumps?
Sorry we missed this comment a couple months back. I think it would be difficult to say for sure, but it is relatively inexpensive, so it would be worth trying.
OMG i just received my 400 ml tin of Nivea from Smallflower today. Can't wait to start using on my face esp so i can be just like the 97 year old ladies. Dahling. :)

Never stop selling it!!!!!
i love nivea
Given that we're down in Chicago and import ours directly from Germany, it would be difficult for us to speak about the Canadian version with certainty. But our understanding is that all North American Nivea is not manufactured in Germany, and it is a different formula.
Nice product Nivea
I love Nivea cream
I use it on my face
Buy on eBay.
