  • Under the golden hues of a setting Central Coast sun, Artistry on Wheels unfolded as a masterpiece in motion-where sound and paint danced together in perfect harmony. The live performance, a commissioned artwork by Heartdancers, became a vivid testament to the creative soul of the Central Coast, a seed planted through Create Art Central's three-year seed funding program, a visionary initiative by Central Coast Council.
The air pulsed with the soulful, experimental notes of Gabzak, whose saxophone wove hypnotic melodies, carrying whispers of jazz fusion, organic house, and Andean beats. Each note seemed to paint a story in the air, echoing the region's rich cultural diversity. As Gabzak’s music soared, the hands of visual artists Jill Psenitza and Mariko Konno moved in tandem, their brushes conjuring universes on canvas-a poetic dialogue between rhythm and colour, sound and emotion.
Behind the lens, Kaye Harrison, Director of Treehouse Media, captured the essence of this alchemy. With a decades-long commitment to storytelling with integrity and compassion, Kaye illuminated the creative process, revealing the humanity and vision behind every brushstroke and saxophone breath. Her lens offered a window into the heart of collaboration-a tapestry woven by music, visual art, and community.
The video, both documentary and art form, becomes a living chronicle of the Central Coast's creative brilliance. It celebrates not only the artists but the power of art to unite, inspire, and transform. Through this unique collaboration, Artistry on Wheels rolls forward, carrying the Central Coast’s cultural identity into the hearts and minds of its audience.
This performance isn't just a moment-it’s a legacy in the making, a reminder of how the arts can transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary expressions of connection, resilience, and beauty.
