I love the way that you guys always stop and let someone else who is trying to (finally) inject a point and let them do so. You are always so gracious to each other, and we could all learn from that.
The outdoor workouts are awesome, especially on workouts over an hour - for me. Also the workout notes definitely provide context and motivation for the work.
The other day my power target for my threshold workout was 217, but my last two intervals my power was down by 4 watts. I didn't feel bad about it, I still got the workout done but with a lower cadence. I didn't eat enough carbs before the workout, started 4 hours after I ate and I started with a too-high cadence. I find pacing cadance just as important as pacing your power if you are racing. I often times spin around 100rpm in a zwift race until I can't anymore then drop it back, I can still produce the same power but at a lower cadance.
So cool to hear someone else who has a threshold number that starts with a 2 ! Sometimes a bit demoralising when most of the TH-camrs seem to casually talk about 350 watt plus FTPs which at 59 I will never get near to having only started structured training 6 months ago. Also I have exactly the same issue re cadence v power. I am trying to do my workouts at a higher cadence to address this but I find my HR runs higher than at a lower cadence. I find this strange as I come from a MTB background where I would always spin v grind.
My struggle is the Sammy Hagar Rides, " I can't drive 55 mph!" (Zone 2) Outside endurance workout. Strength training is more geared towards indoor turbo trainer.
how come its so hard to find the employment announcements in trainer road site, listened one podcast trough spotify and there was mentioned a part time position applicable even from abroad as its offsite... might be interested, but cant find any palpable information for the position... if the position is still open, help a guy out? :)

I’m one of those people that really struggle riding inside so having the option to do the workouts outside was a huge selling point for me.
