At least the players respect Pitso. Having that respect for him will definately improve their play, even if its just a little bit.

SA isn't going anywhere as a football nation no offense. There needs to be thorough technical consideration when hiring a coach and then give them enough time(probably close to 4 years) to build and progress the team. The other issue we have is that we don't invest enough in scouting talent hence are not even good at it.
Coaching a national team is a bit challenge coz u dnt do any signings there.u only rely on the structure nd talent in the country .many coaches facing this problem .even if pitso can be a coach de structural challenge will be there coz wont be solved in one day or a year .in south africa we need a coach who can win every game if u dnt u go even if players missed chances.even pitso admit that the road is too long .the following teams are the one we should ask ourselves can we match them.senegal,Ghana,egypt,Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, zambia,Cote di vore ,Nigeria,Congo brazaville Guinea Bissau. When last did we play them nd beat them,under which coaches?.

Most South African football media, fans and even coaches, analysts (mostly ex pros) etc are still dillusional about where we are as a country and will conspire to construct his downfall with there misguided perception on where our football & footballers really in world football eg. Mailula for Europe based on a poor PSL? Sundowns a powerhouse based on no FFP/lack of proper football governance around the pro game in SA?
Pitso being hailed the SA coach guru on all things football in SA now, next is Rulani...shows the real short memories we have in SA. Sundowns in a league wrought with unprofessionalism & lack of quality saw the gap largely due to Motsepes billions aka masterplan ie. Bankroll our way to success over 10yrs starting with Pitso and the mentality of "if it doesn't work we keep spending until it does" mentality.
