Omg the ends speech added to this is amazing!!! Whoever people who was in the team that made this masterpiece. BRING THEM BACK, KEEP THEM ON THIS TEAM BCUZ THEY COOKED HEAVENLY!!!!!
Sounds like the final battle to the Sonic franchise. A fight that requires all of Sonic’s friends and even some former enemies to stop that one final big bad guy that threatens everything.
Brought to order. To neutrality. To nothing. I saw your mind as you ran through my prison. You have fought machines and gods. They were mighty? They were finite.
"Mortal, you have served your purpose. Now face your End. I am the all-consuming void. What can one mote of golden light illuminate within the abyss? Countless stars. Countless worlds. Countless lives. All fell to me, all brought to nothing. All the teeming chaos of creation? Brought to order. To neutrality. To nothing. I saw your mind as you ran through my prison. You have fought machines and gods. They were mighty? They were finite. I am infinite. I am nothing. You struggle as so many have done before. You will be consumed like all those before you. I saw your mind. Your courage never wavered. Why? Arrogance? Ignorance? Stupidity? I was contained once…..Once. Is that why? My captors bent time and space. My captors built a whole reality to contain me. My captors burn their souls away to fuel their engines. And you? You glitter. You fly about me like a gnat. I am inevitable. I cannot be denied. You strike this incarnation with all your might. It changes nothing. You are not brave. you are not victorious. No matter what form I take... THE END COMES FOR YOU ALL!!!!"
Good idea, but I found the same issue as the other mashup I listened to (th-cam.com/video/_SK-x0elJdg/w-d-xo.html), where summing instrumental + (instrument + voice) then normalizing volume ends up giving more weight to the instrumental part, and voice harder to hear. But yes, it's hard to arbitrarily increase voice volume if you don't have some a capella recording... Maybe some filtering can help, knowing voice frequencies (but never an exact science either). Ah, the chromatic aberration effect is a bit epileptic, fortunately I listened to the music without watching the video the first time. 7:30 Playing both voices at the same time is an interesting idea... although quite disturbing. Is it done on purpose to show the internal conflicts of Sage trying to counter The End with positive thoughts? Maybe they could talk in turns and reply to each other (as in Endless Possibilities)? But I guess the lyrics wouldn't really match...
great mix! except my only complaint is… the constant glitchy effect. it hurts my eyes. that, and at around 8:40 its harder to hear The End’s monologue partly due to the other songs and the original vocal mix. but still: awesome!
As a storyteller, I actually really like how the Mix and Vocals eventually talk over the Monologue. I haven't really played Frontiers, so I am not 100% sure the context of when the theme plays in the game, but I love the music. Here is an outside perspective of that portion of the song: To put it simply, as the Vocals and Mix begin to override the Monologue, it is as if the new discovered Love, Family, and Friendship that the character has discovered is stronger then anything this Cathulu-like being can possibly do to destroy this new connection. Thats my interpretation as to why the mix and vocals overshadow the monologue and why I like it alot. Falls into the *Power of Love/Friendship* trope, but using a trope in of itself isn't a bad thing. There is a reason tropes are created. Its how you use it that really matters.
hear hear. original was actually challenging. horizon’s? not so much after you figure out what to do… i wish the damage we dealt was like with the original: just bit by bit instead of depleting a third of it every hit (when Cylooped twice)
it linked itself into Supreme, grew a bunch of arms, but all it did was just stay in one spot that entire time throwing spheres at you, then after a couple of volleys it swipes. then goes into a frenzy… seriously the ONLY challenging thing is when we first fight it and didn’t know we had to disconnect the link.
0:01-3:21 Instrumental Version
3:23-6:50 Vocal Version
6:52-9:13 The End's Monologue
9:14-11:30 Mashup Version
11:31-14:03 Guitar/Piano Acoustic Solo
I’m with you in 2022: Good music worst final boss!
I’m with you in 2023: Better than Dear Father, best final boss

This sounds like the final battle of the franchise, everything leading up to this!
Omg when I read this I literally had a flashback of all the games to this. Your right

These songs are awesome. Every single one of them 🔥
This is actually heavenly.

Such perfectly balanced majesty and conviction.
Godlike mashup! Feels like the ultimate battle.
This was awesome! Honored to be featured in this super cool mashup!
Really would have loved to hear from tails what the actual hell the end even is. It's a big old rock!!!
My man this stuff is fire, thank you for sharing it!
Good remix

@ we have different perspectives on this. I was just commenting about the video overall, not the story behind it (yours which is a great explanation)
Ngl, I liked the original final boss way more than the new final boss…

@@Jacob-2000 yeah, and the Final Horizon really cheapened how powerful The End truly is…
