Watching from SW Ontario in Canada. Winter didn't show up here until March, so sadly we haven't been able to get into the garden just yet. Even my Spring bulbs like hyacinth, snow drop, etc. haven't bloomed yet. Every time we think "Hurrah, that's it, Spring is here", the temperature plummets and it snows again. I'm in central coast of California in the US, we have finally had a nice, fairly rainy winter and so far spring after a severe drought for the past several years. My sunflowers sprouted as well this passed week and I am so excited. I too have a lot to plant as far as herbs and flowers, but have gotten a good start on the veg within the last month. I am in Scotland and it has been raining for 6 months already. We had a 2nd sunny today so I have attempted to do some weeding..it felt like submerging my hands in mud. We've also had to give our grass the first cut. Hope the next mowing will be easier. So looking forward to more gardening. Hope the midges will forget about us this year.😊

We live in the middle of the state of Washington ! We can’t plant any annuals or veggies until around Mother’s Day, because of frost. We have had a lot of rain, not a lot of snow this year. But putting in a dry stream with low growing plants. That means, taking out all the medium rocks, to back the stream. 👍🏻💕🇺🇸

I live in Somerset and the weather has been exactly the same, so much rain I am beginning to wonder if I should buy a boat! We get a little bit of sunshine but it soon gets swallowed up by cloud cover and then rain, hail, thunder the works! I am about to put my house on the market and I have not been able to get in the garden at all this year. We have been re-carpetting the whole house so we have been busy the last 6 weeks doing one room at a time, so even if the weather was good we wouldn't have been able ot get out there. Not buying any plants or sowing any seeds this year, except I did buy a packet of wild flowering seeds from the pound shop and intend to scatter some bear areas in the hopes they will sprout some colour! I live in Calgary Canada along the rocky mountains ... its Easter Sunday and there is still snow on the ground ... I have to start all my seeds indoor every year and they can not be planted until after may 20th .... as we can still get frost and sometimes snow
In California zone 9 . We’ve had a lot of rain. I’m thinking of adding grit or small rock(cactus mix) aside from compost to help with aeration into the future. We have heavy clay soil. Record what you can, when you get a break in the weather or your schedule. We won’t mind 😃. Your seedlings are doing so well. Love the composter👌

West Sussex, UK. Think I can count the dry days since October on one hand 😢. I moved into my house in October & have clay soil- trying to dig is virtually impossible but yesterday was dry so got lots of cottage garden plants in. 🤞for some sun
I enjoyed that video, Karen. Only job I've done is to cut back my fuschia, well hubby actually did it under guidance 😉 while I held the flex of a new electric hedge cutter we got in Lidl. It worked a treat 😊 delighted. It still needs more tidying up though. Our grass is still soggy though from the consistent rain. Hteat to see so much of what you planted has sprouted. See you soon.
I am on the west coast of Canada (about an hour from Vancouver). To say it is technically a rain forest area, we really need more rain as we will probably have water restrictions (again) in the Summer. Ski resorts suffered due to lack of snow which will also affect everyone. Two weeks ago we had record high temps and some people were in tee shirts and shorts!

We have had a handful of nice days and everyone runs outside to their gardens and yards and absorb all the Vitamin D they can. Our last snow has melted and expecting rain mixed with snow tonight. But that's to be expected here in Colorado. Our last frost date is May 5th. So I feel your frustration.
A few weeks back I went through my compost heap for all the eggshells I threw in there and recovered quite a few. So I crushed them and used them as a barrier around my teasel babies to repel the slugs. It worked a treat!
Happy easter to you & your mom. Tulips & daffodils are up about 5 cm. Had to make wire cages to cover the tulips as the rabbits are eating them as fast as they come up. I'm in southern ontario, canada. It' still too cold to start anything outside. Our last frost date is roughly 11th to 15th of may. I did start tomatoes, sweet peppers and cucumbers in the house but finding sunny spots is difficult. Some are under growlights (my house is dark). I have no real windowsills as my sills are omly 1cm in size.

I'm in Missouri, US. My weather has been mild, 70's°F with the exception of a couple days that were down to 26°F. Only 1 day of rain with about 3-4 inches of downpours.

I'm on the Gulf Coast of Texas USA, where the weather can be different every day. This time of year one day can be grey, gloomy, and warm with no breeze. The next day may be bright and sunny with a cool breeze. My favorites are the sunny days with cool breezes, anywhere between 65° and 75°. Typically, we don't get a lot of rain. In the summer, days are usually hot, wet, and sticky with no rain. Summer temperatures here can be over 100°. This morning, it is grey and warm, but I think it will blow through, and it will be sunny and warm, and hopefully breezy.

From Lincolnshire and we have had the daily rain, but have to say the garden has never looked so green and lush as it does this Spring. Best investment I ever made was my greenhouse, it was second hand from Ebay about 15ft by 8ft and I love it. I have been thinking of getting a hot bin compost so really interested in how you get on with yours.

Seaweed flakes work well on protecting hostas etc as the slugs hate the saltiness. Sharp things like grit and crushed seashells don’t ultimately work, loads of videos showing snails ignoring them.

I’m in US, Massachusetts. We keep getting snow, them it’s pouring rain, then a few nice days, rinse and repeat! No planting going on here.

From Lincolnshire and we have had the daily rain, but have to say the garden has never looked so green and lush as it does this Spring. Best investment I ever made was my greenhouse, it was second hand from Ebay about 15ft by 8ft and I love it. I have been thinking of getting a hot bin compost so really interested in how you get on with yours.
Hi Karen. Watching you every week and enjoying all your work in the garden. I have planted some summer flower seeds on the windowsill I kept from last year and some I bought also. They are coming along well. I understand your excitement when you inspect your seeds. Keep up the good what you work!!! My hubby and I cut up a tomato and put it in dirt loosely covered them and we have sprouts that are like 3” high

Seaweed flakes work well on protecting hostas etc as the slugs hate the saltiness. Sharp things like grit and crushed seashells don’t ultimately work, loads of videos showing snails ignoring them.
