Didn't Mirai's actor quit the industry? Maybe that's why Mebius suddenly got sidelined so hard; Tsuburaya lost the actor for the human form and they didn't want to recast Mirai or find a new human host for Mebius. Maybe if this second wave of New Generation we got starting with Trigger manages to get to New Generation Mebius, we'll see a recasting, or even a guest appearance from Mirai's actor.
