My lovely brothers and sisters. Never miss your salah. Do a lot of astagfar. We also have a powerful thing called Isteqara use it when you are confused when things aren't going right. May Allah guide us to the straight path and have mercy on us.
I hope you see this. I have experienced that exact same undescribable feeling you mentioned when you pray tahajjud to ask something from ALLAH but you get so involved in the act of prayer and you start getting emotional and suddenly everything around you vanishes even though you can still see but you get into a heightened state of conscious where your heart feels so light yet powerful as if it's about to burst out of feeling the presence of Almighty and you feel as if ALLAH is right there in front of you and we know he hears us all the time, but at that moment you feel as if he's listening to you as if he's right in front of you and all's gonna be fine and in my case, i didn't forget what I wanted to ask but in that specific moment, i realized that is this what i wanted to ask in tahajjud? something worldly? and I completely intentionally didn't ask that and instead asked the Almighty for His love and that I attain His pleasure, you are so close to the Almighty that you feel as if whatever your tongue says, the Almighty will grant yet you don't ask for anything worldly but ask for His own pleasure and want that moment to never ever finish. Tears keep rolling down your eyes and you sob and cry like a small baby but that isn't out of a painful pain, but a sweet pain, the longing for the love of Almighty and wanting for all of this to finish so you can see your creator in Jannah and then that feeling ends and you feel as if you've gotten away from your lord. May ALLAH allow us to experience that khushoo, that heightened state of conscious and closeness to His Highness again and again. Ameen.

Sometimes at night there is not a sound outside and the tranquillity is overbearing and peaceful. As you said, after praying 2 rakats you feel like praying until your body is unable. There is a connection, and you feel that there is no need to ask for material things. In my opinion, dua's are only needed for your own spiritual growth, dua for parents if they are dead, for close ones etc. Of course, the best dua is asking Allah SWT for goodness in this life and in the Akhira and save us from Jahannam as per the ayat in Surah Al Baqarah.
Dear Alexa, this video was as beautiful as it was enlightening. Truly, the ultimate form of bliss is being with Allah subhannahu watallah and seeing him in everything we do and everything that happens to us. I think coincidentally you not remembering to make that duaa you wanted was in itself a gift from Allah SWT, he gifted you with his presence and with feeling his closenesss. Tahajjud to me is the light between day and night, after a long day i get to recharge with my lord and tell him everything i could possibly feel the need to say and share and in return he shows me that he is always near, listening and hearing. Islam is a blessing, being able to truly submit to Allah Subhannahu watallah is a blessing. May Allah grant you ease & happiness in this life and the hereafter. Your sister in Islam, Hanaa.
