My dog has scratched his nose trying to remove his muzzle himself now he's got a scab. But even with a closed mouth muzzle on him his bark sounds powerful intimidating and he's all about it. I just brought a prong collar now I never in my life thought I would think to try one. But all the videos I watch show shepherd's night and day wearing them. Even this channel has a staffy wearing one I didn't think that white staffy needed it tbh. He wasn't that bad. Nothing compared to my Belgium shepherd when out. As soon as we hit pavement he changes its like im walking a big cat. A prowling panther. He refuses to pee or poop. 4.4miles later not one toilet stop. As soon as we home he's crying like a little puppy to go on the balcony though. It's a nightmare.
I’ve just got a halti today for my collie he’s 1, all fine with treats in the house but for the life of me I can’t get him to acknowledge them when we are out help!😅
What is your stance on a figure of 8 slip lead? Is it the same training setup as the halti? I have cocker spaniels, one takes to it the other refuses and knocks it off plus the usual slip lead walk slides down her neck
I use figure of 8 as I can knock it off to practice walking with just the slip. And on again when I want a solid walk. Mine hates the halti. But this is a great video for the halti. Might try it again!
Hi am a 60kg woman with a 2 year 36kg German Shepherd that is hyper. I have ordered my halti and it’s on the way I hope it helps.
I couldn't walk my large dog unless I have my halti! She is so strong and even with the halti she still can pull me down.
It's a game changer had them with my rottweilers, so easy to walk

My puppy is the same. Outdoors just completely loses interest in treats, toys, or praise. Very difficult!
