Awesome stretches, however being a bit older and just starting with the kids. Without permanently injuring myself what do you recommend to start gaining flexibility. Years of relative inactivity has made me as inflexible as bloody titanium

Hey Alex, I have a tournament tomorrow and I’m REALLY nervous because I’m gonna go against someone who has been in the European Championship and I’m really nervous. How do I calm down ?
I want to share my problem to you Alex I know I have ability to win and I fight very well in tkd club but when I fight in any tournament I cannot enjoy or I get very frustrated . when I wear my guards I become so conscious that I would not be able to kick I cannot make my find tension free concentrated focused during a tournament fight I imagine all these things to be unrealistic I am immersed in deep thoughts during a fight only at tournaments please advice something
A big thing is to take time to talk to the refs to see what they like and don't like. They'll guide you a lot so you'll be playing by their rules, not limited by what's in your mind. They'll tell you. They want you to be successful and have the most fun within the rules.
You need to research those first three. I think your recommendations may cause sciatic issues for some people. Your last stretch is ridonkulous! I'll never get close to that. 😀
Not only flexibility makes a real martial artist. there are more important aspect for a real martial artist, like technique, values, discipline & commitment. Those are that make an real martial artist.
Shitty expectations, she still threw a high kick in the end though not as flexible as you think she should be. That being said, she is a real martial artist and can kick your face 😊

well im green belt and i just forget every thing a round me and what is a nuing me and just fokis on the sparr im verry sorry if my spelling is wrong
