I absolutely love your vlogs Lana! Especially being 21 years old myself and seeing someone close to my age in the police force helping the community in all the ways you do! It’s also a reminder that yes you guys are still normal people at the end of the day and don’t work the shift 24/7 so it’s good to see you have fun in these vlogs and show us that there is more to show behind the badge 😊 Keep it up girl!!
Awesome vlog thank you so much for taking the time to do it. It was really great to hear what it's like for you being a smaller female as I am as well and wanting to join, getting sick of people doubting my ability because I'm small. Was really motivating hearing what you had to say! Thanks again, looking forward to the next one!!
Excellent point regarding being human. Its something I've often wondered about if Cops can still go party. I'm glad you do! Thanks for another awesome vid!!
Love these vlogs and being able to see your personalities come through. You's have literally inspired/pushed me to apply for the force. I am doing a prep course at the wananga! Heres hoping🤞
I love watching your videos Lana! so awesome, I wanna join the police and I am young so it was so cool to see what your perspective was on joining young. I’m also short so it was great to hear about that as well! Love it
Hay Lana, good role model for woman who want to join the NZ Police. Having treats are across all government agencies as long as you burn it off which is good lol . Godbless and stay safe Lana.
Nice vlog. How many cop cars in Auckland are equipped with Automatic Number Plate Recognition ? I've seen police forces in other countries use them. I heard Auckland had some, but not many at this stage. Thanks.
When I joined (age 20) I thought I was too young. Not enough life experience mainly. That quickly disappears as you "step up to the task". I've seen young 'uns come in all high and mighty 10ft tall and seemingly bulletproof with new uniforms and shiny epaulettes. Then I've seem most assimilate effortlessly. The biggest challenge I've seen is those in their twenties map out their career pathways. The smart ones are the ones some members of the public see and think "they're young for a senior sergeant or inspector". they don't see the tenacity and strong desire for professional development. Best wishes to Lana, Constable Hurn and all in NZP.
Just a quick heads up, that microphone @5:21 is sitting directly on the airbag deployment zone. Please make sure you get that checked because if an airbag deploys it may fire that microphone for comms right at your face. Not ideal! Aside from that - keep up the awesome work, love these vlogs.
Joining the police force at the age of 22 ❤💪👌. Fb dont lie about her looks but what i really give respect for lana jane is that she dont like sitting behind the desk and that she had her mindset prepped, future wize. Well done.
10:40 totally agree alot of people think the police are like the military that when you sign up your signing up for a full tour they don't understand that being in the police is just like any other job you can quit you can get fired its a job, and a duty.
So essentially the con is that if you're at a party and someone lights up some bud in the corner, just you being present in the room with them could be compromising because someone might stick a video of that on Facebook and make you look bad? And you might not get invited to such a party in the first place because everyone knows you're a popo and it could be awkward? Sounds like an alright trade if it means getting to keep people safe and save lives. ❤️
Churr so like, how does the pole ice decide witch town you’d be posted up at once you’ve finished graduation day ?? Are the chances high off picking a town you’d want to be stationed at ? Tia
how old did you join? and is 18 to young to join? do you think people that are at the age 18 will get a chance to join than people who are much older??
Another awesome video loving them this video was so good and one thing I like about her and her videos is she doesn’t change she acts the same when she’s working and not working it’s great to see and she make this video fun to watch haha sorry for calling you her and she I don’t know your name sorry thanks for the video can’t wait for the next one haha
Just out of curiosity. Say your an official off duty and out and about having fun, enjoying your free time and days off. When a criminal activity goes down right in front of yous, what do yous do?? Like when off duty! Do yous get involved or leave it to the officers that are on duty??
Welcome back Lana, if you deal to aggressive people like you demolished that cake I don't think you will have any trouble handling offenders. I imagine even if someone did join the police and leave early, the sort of work you do and the responsibility required would see them in good stead for lots of other jobs, they may just not be nearly as interesting as policing. I would just like to add how impressed I and I think most kiwis were at the professionalism and caring attitude shown in Christchurch after the terror attacks.
Im 32 and wanting a career change and think that the police could be the way to go. Do you think its possible and do you know of many people in their 30s who train to be in the police?

The boots probably add 5 cm to the persons height in 12 and can run and get onto a wall 10+ meters high and yes I’m a trampolines and parkourist but still it’s not that hard if your fit like a police officer
She's cool. I love watching her vlogs" I like her life style..I'm looking on joining the police force on the gold coast.. I'm from nz been here for 6 years. I want to help the community.
Sounds like Sasha who lives at our place. She can jump fences and climbs. She can also catch frisbees, and would make an excellent police K9 unit member.
9:09 I am not even in the police and I have witnessed all that first hand. And I can tell you this I don't know how you guys can carry on with that on your shoulders. Its a burden I don't think any one should carry.
Love watching these Vlogs! I was wondering if i could get some help tracking down an old family friend. She was / is an officer from the early 90s. Went by the name of sharon stevenson? Please help me reconnect with her
As long as you are 18 when you go to Police College, to get the training you need, you should be fine. Thankfully, there's no upper age limit, so it's never too late to join. More info on: www.newcops.co.nz/recruitment-process/entry-requirements
Great to see you back Lana. 👍. Your an amazing role model. Stay safe.
Starts off dancing and then casually pops off a roundhouse kick to the face! What?! 👍🏾💪🏽

Good on her. I'll watchout though. Some police are easy to underestimate but yeah... They can get you by surprise 🤣

Nothing to do with being young. She eats junk just like the majority does....

What's with the flash to a random frame from earlier in the video at 12:15??
Glitch in the matrix?...
how hard is it to drive/drive fast while changing sirens all the time?
I’m sure the partner does that for the driver.
It's a press of the button to turn them on, but just a tap on the horn pad to change them (assuming NZP cars are wired the same as Australian ones).
Controls for lights and sirens are on the steering wheel as well as the main console.
"Maybe next time sis" 😂😂😂
