JOINING OVERHEAD & LANDING AT SYWELL

We took a trip out to Sywell, which is situated in the heart of Northamptonshire. This is the coolest airfield to visit, love the art deco hotel, The Aviator! Check it out here www.sywellaerodrome.co.uk
You join us overhead runway 03L at 2000ft. We then descend on the dead side of the airfield and join the circuit pattern at 1000ft. We experienced a few down drafts on final approach with a gust of crosswind. Landing just short of the runway numbers, and backtrack to the ramp.
