  • Camped out in Jasper and met some lovely strangers recently, they told me there was a secluded part of Saskatchewan Glacier up river I should check out... seemed like a good idea right? 22km later this is what I found!

Hey! I'm one of the guys that recommended you go there (tall guy with beard). I'm scrolling through TH-cam to show a friend this particular hike, and i'm like, "hey, he's talking about me and my friends!" Yeah, based on where you were bush whacking, you must have just missed the trail going into the trees. But glad you made it through. Where you approached the river gorge, where all of those downed trees were blocking the river, that is where you cross. Some mountain climbers made a "bridge" out of the downed trees. Once you cross there, very carefully, you no longer need to make any river crossings. Straight shot to the glacier. Really happy you made it. We didn't go as far as you to the south side of the glacier, and i'm trying to convince a friend to go with me this weekend to go see the caves you found. Great job!

Hey Matt, so walking up to it, there is an entrance to go in? We are scouting out glaciers to go in. Can you share some insight?

And people say Saskatchewan doesn’t have any thing but it has everything.

Except this isn't actually in Saskatchewan. This is on the Icefield Parkway in Alberta.
