4-21-22 Fun Fact: Each of the Murals is actually based upon a Piece of Artwork from Kirby's Past. King Dedede's Artwork is modified from his Dream Land 2 Artwork. Meta Knight's is from Super Star. Bandana Waddle Dee's is from Return to Dream Land. Marx's Artwork is from Super Star. Gooey's is from Dream Land 3. Kine's is from Dream Land 2. Rick's is Burning + Rick from Kirby Dream Land 2. Coo's is Cutter + Coo from Kirby Dream Land 2. Ribbon and Adeleine are both from Kirby 64. So overall, they are all based upon other pieces of artwork.
They appear in hiad before going into a dream friend door, i headcanon them to be ancient murals of the heroes that the friend hearts would fall on, hence why they become dream friends and dont need to be "friended" as they are already protected from any sort of dark influence the jamba hearts would cause unlike the enemies May also explain why the mages dont get posessed when they pick up the jamba hearts As to why the friend hearts didnt fall quick enough on mk and d3 irdk But maybe it has something to do with their involvement with darkness cuz yknow the masks of dark bonds and stuff Dumb headcanon but what other explanation would there be aside from a fun thing to find
