    To be honest, I was hoping to see you kill it! I love MANY/MOST animals, but weasels I hate because they are so mean and go after chickens and ducks. I worked on a farm for years and these "things" from the weasel family are NASTY AND MEAN. I have had bad experiences w/ferrets and also encountered how nasty a mink can be. I don't know what their purpose is on this earth.

      @@NormanMcGregor I saw one video of where a weasel tried to go after a cat. VICTORY WENT TO THE KITTY!!!! I THINK what these little f-ckers do is go after the neck to paralyze their prey/victim....like I said, I THINK.
      One store I worked in, they sold food to farms, food for horses and also domesticated animals. EVERY time someone came in and said, "I have mice, what should I do/get?" I would always tell them to get a cat.

      It's their world too. The pine marten receives full protection under Schedule 5 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended).

      @@NormanMcGregor no they're not there a different species, yes they're in the weasel family but that does not make them a varient. In the animal kingdom creatures aren't placed into varient. Pine martens will attack chickens if extremely hungry or if there weaning theyre kittens, they're natural prey are red and grey squirrels, and some ground nesting birds but also they're eggs.

      @@nickryalls3093 I have seen footage of mink slip into a coop and kill every living creature in it, I love all animals ( even mink) but they're an invasive species here in Ireland so sadly they have to be killed. I didn't say they're evil they just act by instinct and its to kill until the noise stops and they'res no movement, the only poultry that stand a chance are large cockerels, a very violent gander and fighting cocks everything else will die. There's always two signature thing mink leave behind: dead bodies everywhere and a bite on the neck with the blood drained

      @@deaganachomarunacathasaigh4344 thanks Deacon. I live in the Scottish Highlands where we also have a big mink problem and want them eradicated which I support, just won't accept that they kill for fun, from your reply you obviously are aware of the true reason for their behaviour so no need to elaborate. Stay safe and best wishes.

    Seem a shame to dispose of him because he may taste like chicken now. Maybe a good idea to have a predator trap set all the time.

      Paulman50 They don't eat the chickens as they are too heavy for them to drag away. They just like to kill them for fun.

    • @mandarin1257
      @mandarin1257 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NormanMcGregor I doubt it's because they're too heavy. Marten probably killed the chickens, tried to drag it away and couldn't due to the cage. They are surprisingly strong and could probably drag a chicken into a bush.
      Anyway, martens are wild animals that go by instinct, they have no concept of consequences.

      Just put it on the ground. No need to cover the floor. Make sure the bait is at the very back of the trap.
