THE JOURNEY From Addiction to Recovery - Charlotte's Story

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 30 มิ.ย. 2024
- Meet Charlotte, a woman that has gone through the test of life as a gifted child, wife, mother, crack addict, victim of abuse and mental health issues, to a surviving woman of God that is learning her true worth, not only to herself, but also as a Daughter of Virtue to God.
About to celebrate 22 years clean, one day at a time, Charlotte has shared her story on different platforms in Houston, Tx and is eager to share her experiences without sugar-coating any part. Charlotte's journey in recovery has many phases that are expressed through this video.
Charlotte says God's grace and mercy started her on her road to recovery, MHIDD, True Vision Baptist Church (Rev. Lionel Aaron, pastor), and an insurmountable support from family, friends, and strangers. Charlotte says she stays away from those places that she cannot take God and is humble.

Please give your friend my sincere gratitude, support, love, positive & healing energy!!! ❤ & Let her know her story is touching & inspiring people in ways she prob has no ideas & I appreciate her 🙏🏽💯✊🏾🤞🏾👏🏾
I’m in the nail salon….looking at this video. I started crying like a baby, lol. It’s not because her story is familiar to mine, luckily for my journey it doesn’t have in triumph from addiction, but as we all know we have are own challenges and triumphs on this beautiful journey of life. What moved me was Charlotte, this Beautiful, Strong, Joyful, Powerful Woman, who triumphed over her addiction and other adversities, left me profoundly moved. We humans borrow each other’s energy; looking and listening to someone so filled with light and love , I decided that I’m going to take that energy and try my best to continue to pass it on!
Thank you, Charlotte ❤️
Very well stated.
Me too here. Let me know someday if you were successed. All the best wishes 🙏 ❤️ 😊
@gailday, I can truly relate. I was in tears too and will use her story for the better. Cheers
Wow. Wow
Addiction is a horrible disease. I know this so well because I lost my daughter to addiction. Since then I wrote a book regarding her life it’s called, A father losing his daughter to addiction.
I hope the world will read this book for it will help so many who are suffering and struggling each and every day with addiction. As well as their families. God bless you all.

Such a great redemption story. I'm in a recovery house currently and I listened to this today. You're a living example of hope. God bless you in your journey.
I thank God everyday for the 27 years clean i have .
What a journey of victory! The adversity this lady has gone through since she was 6!! This was emotional. Charlotte, stay in recovery: it really looks good on you❤!
My Sister in Christ you and I could pass for biological sisters, and you look like my mother more than I do. I never got hooked on drugs, alcohol, etc. My life is in complete shambles. I am addicted to avoiding life. I stay focused on how can I get out of this or that. The effects are so similar to your story. Money, broken relations... I feel a stirring in my heart to clean up my act. God bless you for your story. I took a look at my own life and declared I am changing. I will never be able enough to thank you for you. God bless you, my sister. God bless you🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💛💛💛💛💛❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing your heartfelt story. There is no pain greater than the pain of avoiding pain. I pray you surrender to a power greater than yourself so you can have peace of mind and be of service to others with your testimony
Wow! And you're just at the beginning I haven't heard the whole story yet but I know that I'm going to rejoice in this story and the glory of God in your life. He brought me out of a horrifying of addiction to a number of times. But this time he brought me out saved and I put value on salvation I put value on sobriety I put value on Christ.

This is the only way to keep your recovery by keeping it real about your recovery

Idk her but I love her! I'm so happy for her 💜
This one made my heart smile so big 🤍 YOU GO GIRL! I am So PROUD OF YOU ! ‼️‼️
I just wanna say that as the interview started, I thought you seem so wholesome and I mean that in the kindest way. Next I wanna say I cried and am so touched by your aunt who bathed you, the day your mama held you and felt like 6 ft tall and the girlfriend who helped you step into your womanhood again. So touching and powerful to have support in recovery. I related so much when you said you always wanted to talk about someone else so the attention was away from you. I’ve always done this and didn’t understand it and hid behind, “it’s a good trait to care” type thing but it was because of shame and guilt for choices I made in addiction. My story is probably considered so minor compared to most but the toll it took on my self worth is lasting. Your story and verbiage was so beautiful and insightful and really helped me. All the love to you and congrats. Thank you for sharing❤
God turned your scars INTO STARS!!!!
Thank u for sharing! I was you, 6 yrs ago, I’m 5 yrs clean now.
Great job!
Much respect for this strong independent lady.
“And why did I keep getting in these messes

@@glcmranger421 Thank you so much I really appreciate it!!
there's help out there. Asking takes strength, but you've got that.
I know your struggle and am 6yrs.clean.You are so inspirational and I also believe the only one who can do this is you. It's gotta be more of a priority to be clean. With God anything is possible.❤
Forgiveness of your own past behaviors is a place of peace. The who you where is not the who you are today. Confidence in the who you are today comes from forgiveness and grace of the person you where in the past. Confirming your accountability of who you where gives you confidence.
Love this!! Only Jesus and the will for a better life can do it!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Her face after she says the best high you’ll ever get, no drugs. Had me ☺️☺️☺️☺️🥰🥰🥰🥰
I work in a Drug and Alcohol Treatment center and have repeatedly used this video in recovery groups.
There is 15 other stories of recovery in the series too. 😏
Her story is riveting. Beating cancer, addiction, abuse... wow.
Charlotte you are a miracle. I’m not sure how I landed here, but addict or not everyone should watch and know that it’s possible to recover from addiction and start a new life… perhaps share these♥️Blessings to all.

Those words at the end, "And that's my story." It's sure is Charlotte and I'm so glad you told it!❤ Thank you for sharing so intimately with a bunch of strangers because wow! I felt your conviction in every word you said. May God continue to bless you, you are worth it!
Great job sis your ❤️ is BEAUTIFUL & God SEES YOU! Not your circumstances, trials or faults but YOU! I know he is saying JOB WELL DONE! Mama is smiling in his arms. I’m sure she can’t wait to dance you right on in to Heaven when you both meet again😊❤!🙏🏽
First, give God the glory for His grace and mercy!
Won't He do it!
My daughter is an addict and I'm her codependent! I don't know how to help her! I don't want to give up on her because she has a child; my precious little grandson! I pray she gets it! To find her why! She deserves it for herself and to be there for her son!
How can I help , without turning my back on her! I am resenting her daily, but love her so much! I am in therapy trying to be a codependent no more!
How truly beautiful is her story, because her parents loved and supported her through all of it. Through the worst of the worst of it. Her auntie, what she did for her. Her mum and dad, believing in her through all of it. And she is so strong, everything she survived, she's amazing. But her story is one of love.
A-MAZING!!! Ultimate testimony of humility, vulnerability and accountability! Blessings and so much more on your recovery journey 🥰
To God be the glory. Recovery & Victory. What a story. Hope personified. Thank you
