    Have you ever considered drilling or cutting a hole thru the each fork on the forklift out toward the end of the fork that would allow you to put a bolt in the hole to act as a hook which will allow to get into the track sprocket holes to pull when you lift. The bolt would need two nuts of course, one for top of fork, one for the bottom to be able to tighten it to the fork. You will find it very handy for other applications also, such as keeping chains or belts from slipping off accidentally. We kept several different length bolts on the fork trucks Just a thought young man, we use to do it at our shop and the guys used the bolt to move trailers around the yard occasionally for spotting, saved having to get a truck to move them.

    That's impressive! That's a lot of hours and virtually problem free except the hydraulic pump coupler. You should have some kind of big celebration when she hits 10k hours.

    Flat spots on the idler probably from the idler locking up and not spinning it's crazy how long all of your bottom rollers and rear rollers lasted very impressed that your machines at 9000hrs +

    Had no idea clay would wear tracks out faster- I know coral rock does. Shrinkflation is the trend in everything. I have been having hydraulic quick couplers fail in 5-6 years when they used to last 15. You cannot even get replacement seal kits anymore. That's why I like my 1980's-1990's Bobcats. They seem to last longer and are tougher than the new stuff. Surprised you didn't have your dad around or any other help- looks like every time I have to work on something. One man show here always.

      It was that real rocky clay from the track job that tore them up so bad. Yeah it’s ridiculous how quick stuff wears out now. It’s aggravating. You are definitely right the older stuff is built so much better. Appreciate you watching

      @@eliteearthworksllc Also I agree the track noises can be great to listen to. It reminds me of when I worked on a fence crew over 20 years ago. They had a Bobcat 853 with over tire steel tracks. None of the guys wanted to run that thing but I had fun .

    I am shocked at the number of hours on the machine, really speaks well of takeuchi . I just made the deal to trade my 95-2 for a new TL12V2 . Only 90 days until delivery !!!

    Still prefer the older machines to brand new ones. I agree with you on everything being disposable now. Now when you replace old parts that had grease fittings and replaceable bearings, new ones don't have them.

    Northern tool makes A good hot water system I believe some will go to 4000 PSI as well

    Brandon… sometimes rolling around in the dirt is worth it! I can’t wait to hear the difference the replacements sound. (Maybe you can do a before and after comparison of sound clips?)
    The right hand track removed a lot easier. Those few extra feet of maneuvering room made a difference.
    I keep two different grease guns. One with the lock n lube long nose tip for tight places. The other has a conventional tip. Most of the zerks work fine with the lock n lube… but there are a few that don’t. It’s easy for me to do… my grease guns are manual!
    Those lock n lube tips are a bit finicky… they don’t like dirt. Their clamp and seals get hung up.
    The wear on that roller was impressive. You’ve been running on steel for years! It was more like a train than a tank!!!
    Hopefully you don’t get rained out today. If you do, give me a holler and, I can come by to visit. If not, we can get together next week.
    I’m glad you got this behind you… can’t wait to hear the Koochie sing!

      That’s probably what it is on the lock n lube I need to give it another shot. I liked it for the most part but some of zerts it just wouldn’t work on. The coochie rides way better now I can’t believe the difference. Appreciate you watching

    I was talking to someone who is in the know at Timken making bearings for John Deere Ag. It was stated that the bearings were made to last the duration of the warranty period, then fail once the warranty is up.

    Are you in a climate that freezes? I'd bet the flat spots are from frozen mud around the rollers, preventing them from turning.

    Outstanding job changing out tracks & under idlers as well as sprocks are a real pain I had to changing out track rolls & idlers on 3 of our of our D11 fortunely have a full shop & over head to handle jobs like Dat

    Hey there Brandon!
    You may have had some challenges getting the tracks off this time, but not really,,,,. You did it yourself!!! I’m impressed!
    The actual replacement of the sprockets and rollers was really quite simple also. It helps when you have the right tools of course, but that was nowhere near as challenging as I expected also. There’s some decent engineering going on there!
    I think you get such longevity out f most of your parts because you aren’t running your equipment flat out, balls to the wall, gotta get it done right now, kind of work ethics. You take a little more time to get things right and are nit running at 100% all the time. It’s great to watch. I have mentioned this before, and here’s the proof! I did have to laugh though at those rear rollers,,,,,,, you got every last bit of their use and then some!!! Hahaha. They were as worn as I could ever have imagined but not catastrophically failed!!! Heh heh. Lucky guy!
    Well, looking forward to what’s next! You may be interesting to watch for the first bit,,,,, kinda like trying to skate on newly sharpened skates!! A little edgy,,,,,, haha.
    Things are going pretty great here now that I settled things. Starting to relax a bit. The weekend show & shines are starting up! I am setting up a new display for the 67 Chevelle.

You are right I don’t run my stuff as hard as other people and probably not as fast but the time I lose on the job saves me money in my wallet on repairs and I’m fine with that.     Great job! Is that bar design track a OEM Tak track? I know they use that design for snow removal a lot. Great tip/trick on collapsing the front ideler😉. Now go make some money!👍🏻

      Thank you! Yes they are the oem on the 250’s anyways. The 8’s 10’s and 12’s went to a pad style track that in my opinion rides rougher and has less traction.

    For whatever reason my TL8 makes a heck of a racket up front, sounds like it’s coming from the front idlers. I wouldn’t imagine they’d be worn out at 300hrs

      Yeah they should be fine. The track adjusters can sometimes make noise. With all that steel in there they can be noisy

      They may be all this stuff came from dealer. I’m not big on aftermarket undercarriage parts. It was $7k for all this stuff.

    Did you save the other rollers ? And can you press the old barrings out and swap them ? Something to consider in the future

      Yeah I have all the parts still. You could you sound just have to match the bearings because I don’t think Tak just sells the bearings

      @@eliteearthworksllc what I have as saying is if the Barrings are still good in the old parts pop them out and save them and when the Barrings go bad in the new parts replace them and save on the expense of the whole part

      RoadBuilders in Springfield Missouri. I think for everything I put on in the video was around $7k the tracks and sprockets were $4900 the rear rollers were $350 a piece and the front idlers $365 a piece. That’s all Tak stuff too

    9000 hours is very impressive. Are you the original owner? Ever had to work on pumps, drive motors, or engine?

      Yeah it’s been a great machine. I bought it in 2012 with 900 hours I put the rest on there. No major issues with the engine or pump. I did just have to replace the coupler between the engine and pump because it stripped out but that’s about all
