- Welcome to a 10-minute lesson on how to perform and practice the first eight baguazhang (pakua chang) switches or turns, as taught by Turo Vince Jornales of the East Coast Jornales System. Bagua can be quite challenging to learn. This is a very basic set of 8 bagua switches Turo Vince learned when he was starting out. Although challenging for a beginner, they open the door for the even more complicated Palms that he now teaches. Enjoy!!! This lesson will break down these 8 switches into simple, easy-to-follow steps, using two camera angles, slow-motion, and detailed narration. The goal of this lesson is to get you started with Bagua Zhang (Bagua Chang or Pakua Chang), so that you can learn at home and start working on harnessing your Chi (Qi) through these movements.
Vince Jornales is a certified instructor of Bagua Zhang, Filipino Martial Arts, Qi Gong (qigong) and Tai Chi Chuan. He has been a student of martial arts for over 20 years. I have spent a ton of time and looked at a ton of videos, and by far sir, this is the most digestible expression of foundational bagua that I have run into. Practice Kenpo Karate for like 20 years, and I love all martial arts but all I've had to go on is the yang jwing ming emei baguazhang compendium to attempt to harvest and understand technique from.
Thanks so much sifu. Being able to follow after you so directly as well as the salutary breathwork and qi Gung introduced me for the first time to the rhythm of the circular movements of the body and Palms, and primed my chi to Express itself harmoniously.
Os, Sifu. I'll practice.
Blessings.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am glad my video was helpful. I am planning on putting up some short forms to help with body development for Bagua. 9 Dragons Moving. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you.
@@EastonMartialArts I appreciate your invitation, and I'll be glad to take you up on the offer😄
Hello everyone! This is the first set of Baguazhang switches that I teach at Bishop's Training and Fitness. Bagua can be quite challenging to learn. I learned this set when I was just starting out with Bagua. This set of 8, although challenging for a beginner, opens the door for the even more complicated Palms that I teach. Enjoy!!!
I’m learning this fighting style I’m self teaching myself
Good luck! Although I would suggest working with a teacher if you can find someone near you. 👍
@@EastonMartialArts Thanks im mastering it day by day
