Good video Chris. Listening to your explanation on wood/split sizes made me smile, you'd be aghast if you saw the sizes I put in my box fire. Anything that will fit will do. I'm heating 1600 square feet single level house and all my hot water with a single fire. Our winters are milder than yours so that helps. Just love a good wood splitting show mate. Cheers from HB NZ
Busy day in the woodyard, what with the splitting and dumping in the Bin. And it’s always nice to see the new kittens. Now as to fire extinguisher I saw towards the end of the video……was there a spontaneous combustion of the splits?, I mean you did say this batch was ready to burn NOW!!!, but that’s some hot firewood!!!….
Nice video Chris. Storms last evening near my river cabin. Small tornado headed right towards us but dissipated/lifted a 1/2 mile away. I got lucky with just some small branches down and a gas grill blown over. Other side of the river not so lucky-major hail damage to crops, structures and vehicles. Many Iowa friends affected that I spent the morning helping cleanup. GNI
Great job Chris, definitely getting the work done. Got me thinking; at the end of the conveyor of the processor, a “bump wall” would be awesome. Similar to what Modern Rentals had for their mulch bins, honestly I see them all over in my area in Michigan for mulch bins. Either way, way easier to just scoop and dump even better that you are on the concrete. As you say, easy to spend someone else’s money. lol Thank you for the lunch video. 👍🏻👍🏻 Good Night Irene
Good Morning Chris. Been a while since I commented so I thought I'd drop a note to congratulate you on the new production methods. Much needed since your business has really grown since I first started watching the comings and goings of The Woodyard over three years ago. One suggestion is that for the next "Super-Bin", you might consider starting off with a super wide, but shallow (basically U-shaped) enclosure that you can drive the tractor into. As the wood stacks up, you can add more depth as necessary, working front to back. This would eliminate the need to take any of the equipment out into the drying yard, since you could load the bin exclusively with the tractor, no matter how wide or how deep you make it. When it comes time to sell from the pile, just remove the front wall, and sell the wood off FIFO without the need to climb over anything to get at it. Just my two cents, as always.
You might consider parking a trailer near the wood pile. scooping up the wood with the bucket and putting it into the trailer. then splitting from the trailer into the bin with the conveyor. that would eliminate a lot of long trips with the tractor.
Chucking and spitting and hauling to the bin this could become a song .Maybe a wood yard song , I can’t hear you humming it while you work. Great job today Chris I enjoyed it. Get the bin filled up.
well done, as ever Chris, good work. made my 3rd junior woodstore today. hopefully the 3 should do us all winter. thanks for the inspiration to keep on going. i look forward to your videos every day and sometimes dip into the 1400! you're a processor supreme. keep on trucking champ
Chris that ultra is a beast. Really enjoy watching it bust those pieces. Your perfect size wood is what i like to burn in our stove. It burns well and i can load it up and let it good. Great video.
There is something about fire that brings back our cave man days. The trees, the act of harvesting, sawing, splitting, the whole show. You just have to love it. Again, thanks (from Georgia)for what you do.
You may know Chris but you can recover data on formatted cards. The information is still there it’s just that the card has been programmed to allow new information to be written over old. So as long as you haven’t recorded too much with the formatted card you can get all or most of it back. There are several recovery tools that will do this.
Hey, Chris. You were saying that you're gonna move The splitter and the conveyor back to the bin for the next run that you do on the processor if you do that, why wouldn't you split off the processor into a trailer Fill the trailer up, take the trailer back and then split it out of the trailer in to the convayer to fill the bin
Keep at it Chris...Another 30 or so years and you could possibly be the first man to wear an Ultra completely out!!💪 I must have missed the reason for not doing a double row of pallets on the bottom of this bin? Were you just short on good pallets or didnt think it beneficial after trying it before for more air flow?
Are you going to try Adams new 12 way open head on your processor. I never seemed efficient to have that wonderful processor and having to resplit everything.
Have a load of boiler wood trying to get rid of. Can drop it off at the farm tomorrow, am. Let me know , if you get this before I get rid of it. Thanks
Yep she's still gone and I'm getting nothing done yet getting exciting for me lol! Have you ever had someone complain about that little bit of soft wood on the outside of standing dead oak!??
Wait until you see the new 16 way! Big fast profitable firewood production is messy. I am not out here creating art, I am making wood fast to make money.
The ultra is like the energizer bunny. Took after his master. Have a great day Chris.
It is a great splitter for the price!
Something satisfying with the sound of firewood being dumped from a tractor bucket. Thanks for the vid, Chris.
You got that right!
Always nice to add wood to the bins!
It sure is!
That bin is gonna fill up fast being fed by the ULTRA! That is where that machine shines! Good work Chris👍🏻👍🏻GNI
You got that right!, it is full now!

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
Very nice. The top deck of the splitter really shows how hard you have worked.
Third kitty will be Leaker for the caps leaking.
Thanks 👍
Good morning Chris!!😀😀
Morning Mr. Al! I hope all is good this fine summer day!
Good one , split split, instead of chop chop. 🤭🤭
Wood cats are getting use to the camera. 👍🏻
Yes, thanks!
Excellent video!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🪵🪓🌲🪓🪵
Thanks!

Yup, that is a good idea, we thought about that but this bin was pretty good to fill with the bucket all the way around...you will see it all soon.
You might consider parking a trailer near the wood pile. scooping up the wood with the bucket and putting it into the trailer. then splitting from the trailer into the bin with the conveyor. that would eliminate a lot of long trips with the tractor.
Yup, I have done that too...this is the fastest by far. Thanks for watching!
That Ultra has made you a pile of cash for sure!
Good work 👍
You got that right!
Chucking and spitting and hauling to the bin this could become a song .Maybe a wood yard song , I can’t hear you humming it while you work. Great job today Chris I enjoyed it. Get the bin filled up.
Great idea!
Nice splitting and clean up session 👍 That firewood bin is going to be massive when filled
Yes it is already full!

@@InTheWoodyard its always my pleasure 👍
Adorable ginger kittens.
Yup, they are that!
G’morning Chris. The bin is SWEET. Shoulda, Coulda, I woulda.

Yup, thanks!
The wood is reaching to the middle of the Ben. Very nice.
Sure is! The bin is full now...you will see it soon!
Hard working man!!! Love the videos.
Appreciate it!

Good morning everyone and Tony
Hello again my good man Sir Stanley!

So as long as you haven’t recorded too much with the formatted card you can get all or most of it back. There are several recovery tools that will do this.
Yup, I am aware of that but it was rerecorded on already.
I need a wood splitter like yours. That's a nice one. I have a Huskee 22 ton gas.
Get one...EASTONMADE ULTRA!!!
@@InTheWoodyard maybe one day I can afford one
👍👍👍
Thanks!!!
Hi Chris good work love the way you do your work ( Ty Ron
Thanks 👍
Great production 👍👍👍
Many thanks!
See ya tomorrow morning 😊
Yup!
My customers like the smaller stuff! I have just a couple who want bigger wood, so I split smaller!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Yup, same here!

That is what we talked about doing but it ends up different, you will see.
No matter which process you choose to fill the bin, the efficiency is always in the right direction...I wonder if there is a perfect solution?? GNI
Yup... having someone else do it. Or maybe a magic wand?? Firewood is work, all we can do is try to eliminate steps or make them go faster.
If you let the split wood push the splitter backwards it would be just like old times.
Yup, we did that just the other day on a location split!
Keep at it Chris...Another 30 or so years and you could possibly be the first man to wear an Ultra completely out!!💪
I must have missed the reason for not doing a double row of pallets on the bottom of this bin? Were you just short on good pallets or didnt think it beneficial after trying it before for more air flow?
I did not do the double raised pallet because the wood going in is 90% dry already.
I personally like small wood. Makes my hands seem bigger
That is a good one!
Are you going to try Adams new 12 way open head on your processor. I never seemed efficient to have that wonderful processor and having to resplit everything.
I have tried the 12 way long ago that bI have...tyhe new 16 way will be used soon!
Look kids it's super husky man at working in the wood pile
Ha!
That bin is going to fill up quickly and nicely, too..😉👍
Yes it is full already!
Have a load of boiler wood trying to get rid of. Can drop it off at the farm tomorrow, am. Let me know , if you get this before I get rid of it. Thanks
Sorry... no one will be there I am out of town for a few days.
@@InTheWoodyard Ok thanks anyways
Do you know how much wood fits in the bucket of your tractor? Mine holds 1/4 of a face filled just over the top of it
About 1/2 a face or 1/6 of a full cord if you prefer. I talked to Mike yesterday...sounds like more fun with the Ultra!
Yep she's still gone and I'm getting nothing done yet getting exciting for me lol! Have you ever had someone complain about that little bit of soft wood on the outside of standing dead oak!??
How did you find out that you are allergic to lightning?
It make me afraid and run fast like a small child running from a attacking grizzly bear!
Good morning Chris just wondering how many hours you think you have on that Honda engine boy they are durable
All of them! About 1,735,289.5 hours??
More wood 🐈 cats
Yes sir!
What are the specs of the baby dumper.
Twin 3500 axles, 7,000 max, 2,000 ish pounds dry, 10x5 and it will hold 2 face cords loose...about $8,000ish
How big is this lumber mill?
It is not a mill, we make and sell firewood ....about 200 full cords a year.
Looking forward to eating my cheese on toast for lunch an watching the processor…just saying.
Yup, you will see is soon, we have a big boiler wood order to fill this week.
Will that new wedge fit the Ultra as well as the Processor? hmmmm might be asking to much for the workhorse?
No it is way to big for the Ultra.
Good Morning Woodhounds!!((--::
Hello!
Good morning all!
Good morning!
Good Morning Chis, All Alone in the woodyard and Stihl getting it done👏🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
You got that right!
Still don't like the 4 way looks very messy❤
