8:15: I think the RCA output could be used for capture cards that have RCA inputs. It'd be useful for consoles that only have RF output like the Atari 2600.
This was my tv as a child even when flat screen came out n 4k was coming out I loved that tv had it for years until I got the ps3 after 2 year’s of that release but damn I want one just to have one
I remember this TV being derided for having a high price, a small screen, and lacking S-Video or other then high-end inputs. Now I totally want one, it makes so much sense.
Honestly, not having S-Video or Component isn't going to matter at all on the GX's 13 inch screen. This TV has an excellent comb filter, so composite looks fantastic.
I still have mine. I bought brand new back in 96 I believe. Still works perfectly and I have my remote still. Lol. But I did break the antenna mount on the back of the TV during a move. Still. Just an awesome tv.
I'm picking one of these up tomorrow! So excited. It doesn't come with a remote so I thought I'd check eBay, low and behold there was 1 original remoted listed for $15 and I sniped that up before even getting the TV. I can't believe my luck. I guess if I don't end up getting the TV for some reason I'll hit you up about the remote.
Only 2 minutes in and thank you for listing the feature set from the brochure so many of these vids on TH-cam people are doing an overview and rundown and don't even know where the sub is how many watts it has or anything and you listed ... One guy thought it was made up until 2004? Wtf, all the features right from the get-go, thanks.
I MISS MY GX-TV! Samsung, REALLY needs to make a modern day flat screen reboot of this. and the built in alarm clock/ turn on mode was amazingly LOUD. when I woke up, to this t.v.s alarm all my room mates were UP as well. which they angrily appreciated. I'll get another one again. one day.
My dad always bought us electronics and his electrical engineering brain would calculate all the variables and buy the best thing for the job at hand, and this is what he bought me for a gaming TV. My dumbass sold it in the early 2000s but I bought it again and was not disappointed. Still a great CRT for small spaces in 2021 and beyond!
I'm surprised that Samsung put the "Sub woofer" above the components of the picture tube. You'd think the thumping Bass above the tube wouldn't be good for the circuitry. How do the speakers sound? Is the bass present, or rich and deep? Nice design. It has a pleasing aesthetic to it.

I was living on base in Marana az bought this at toys r us in Tucson and bought street fighter vs marvel and Diablo on PS1 so much fun and loud

the stupid part was it had a jungle chip in it it's capable of rgb and svideo

It’s a great tv, lol I’m using a 20 in broksonic crt tv stereo looks and sounds great. Although it would be nice to have this tv for the bass 😊
Yeah it's an amazing tv for retro gaming. If you want one i have seen a few on Facebook Marketplace. That is one of the best places to look.

Awesome, the remote is a must!!! Has many QOL improvements help button, and pic and different sleep functions and hot keys.
Never seen one in real life as a kid but I remember the ads in magazines. Now that I'm older I think I'll cop one off ebay.
It's not all that. It's Got bad picture and bad sound and tiny screen, I've had one since the 90s
