  • This fight was actually so unforgiving of mistakes, but was actually really fun once I learned the fights mechanics. I think phase 3 and 4 were easier than phase 2
    Spells used;
    Void (Purple circle)
6%dot / 11% hot on hitting ignited target
    Damage +20%
    Exploding fragments 20%
    Flame on ground 11%
    Frost bat (Blue projectile)
    Splinters 29%
    Hitting chilled gives shield 80%
    Damage to chilled 37%
    Cast rate 22%
    Frost Barrier
    Damage 16%
Absorbing attack reduces cooldown by 0.5s
Absorbing attack increases spellpower by 9%
Cone of cold shields for 72% if hitting chilled target
Frost bat if you can spam it, especially against a stationary target, which you can because of the Dracula blood after phase 3 (drinking the heart) gives you an absolute tonne of damage. The dracula blood you get at the end of phase 3 (The killing the adds phase) gives you 75% chance to reset spell cooldown on use, because of this you can spam frostbat and other spells a lot to get huge damage. Most of my damage in phase 4 comes from making use of one of its in-built mechanics, as well as one of the jewel effects.
Frostbat has a special effect, that if you hit a target that is already chilled, it freezes the target for 4 seconds. You can see this happen to a couple of the adds during the add phase, freeze is important because if a target is immune to the freezing solid effect, it does 25% magic damage, one of the passives you can get also makes an ice nova trigger doing 25% magic damage if you inflict freeze on a freeze immune target. This effectively means you get an extra 50% of your spellpower as damage to the target, if you hit a chilled target with Frostbat. Because you can spam it, you can absolutely PILE on damage this way. It also helps that Frostbat is a spell with 2 charges, which works quite well with getting free spell casts, as you can see how I spike damage a lot when I get free spell casts.
The spell swap in phase 2 happens because there isn't a tonne of uptime to be able to use 2 separate damaging spells during it, but also because the frost barrier can hit Dracula even at the corner of the room from its retaliate effect. The Frost barriers duration also lasts for the entirety of his 4 hit combo in this phase, which results in a lot of damage (60%+16%x4 + 25%+16%).
Gear set used is the Dracula caster Legs/Hands/Gloves plus the Malificer (caster) Chest.
The weapon is the Slasher type, level 30 ancestor weapon.
The bonus effects this weapon has is +2.2 Spellpower, 8.3% physical critical chance, 7.9% spell critical chance.
Its infusion on the Q move is Storm, so the Q (The dash forwards and backwards) inflicts static.
The Slashers are used because you are invulnerable during the Q attack, and the E ability causes things to stop attacking you while you're invisible, and then also do an extra chunk of damage on your next primary attack and incapacitate whatever you hit. These are useful because the Q essentially acts as an extra 'dodge', during phase 2 you can use E to take some of the pressure off for a second, I typically used this to pick up the health orbs but didn't need it on this attempt.
The amulet is the Soul Shard of the Winged Horror.
This gives +15% damage to Dracula (Dracula counts as a Vampire) as well as 15% spell critical strike chance.
It also gives a 20% chance to trigger the chaos explosion effect (The boom effect that happens if you kill something effected by ignited, and the random 'boom' that happens when I melee Dracula.).
The amulet also gives the ultimate ability 'Voidquake vortex' which is the ultimate ability I use during phase 3 to kill a bunch of the adds bunched up together. I have mixed feelings about it replacing the ultimate abilities.
It's nice that Voidquake vortex does a huge chunk of damage, but other ultimates also do more damage, especially as a spellcaster. I'd love to be able to use the Crimson Beam ultimates instead, since that ultimate does a total of 825% magic damage over the course of 3 seconds, but the Voidquake explosion only does 400%.

Quite an excellent display that a caster build without double wards is possible on this boss. Some improvements to the transition phase could be made with a different weapon or spell choices but overall you did beat him. Atm myself working to defeat him before servers reset.

@@kizabum2177 Yeah, slashers weren't the best for phase 3, I did have the legendary greatsword but I always forget to use it.

@@Zandarrl Indeed, alternatives could been chaos spells (for burst and think can gem for knockback for chaos bolt) or use unholy magic and travel ability just spam minions everywhere.
