You could use the mailbox to send around a DIY river pack (just some water and dirt) with a flyer that implies that you could also do it for them if they don't want to get their hands dirty. That is BIG BUSINESS marketing!
In the chaos that the Hermits typically are, I have realized that your videos are a calm pause, and I really want to thank you for that. I do my level best to keep up with all the Hermits---it gets exhausting, lol.
Yeah I've been keeping up with the whole roster since season 8... its exhausting at times, thank god for that 2x speed setting lol, it really helps to watch everything without taking 3 days for a single day's worth of uploads.

I've been watching everyone since the middle of Season 6. Some of them are kinda crazy but for the most part everyone is pretty calm

@@SnyperMK2000JclL I remember when I used to consistently watch videos on 2x speed, but since I had to look at tutorials with people that talk at about 2 words per minute, I installed an extension to go past 2x, so watch everything at 2-3.5x now
"Excitement" is a word I've never once heard or thought of when talking about inspiration/motivation. Some people often say "do what you love to do" but "Excitement" is much more direct and relatable.
6:04 i'm genuinely surprised Ren didn't think about a space ship. Like the one from Avatar (the first movie) and the magma blocks are the radiator fins.

A tamed/claimed allay will follow you around. You don't have to keep throwing items to get it to follow.
You just shouldn't expect it to keep up if you travel too fast, say with an Elytra. It stops trying to get to you if it falls too far behind, 50 blocks or something? But it'll start trying to get to you as soon as you get back to where it's hanging around.
Leads help if you want to travel fast.
I really think people need to experiment with these guys a bit more. It genuinely upsets me that the same people that say they are useless don't even know how to befriend them or that they will follow you around like a pet once you do. They actually have a lot of uses, and they blow hopper minecarts out of the water when it comes to stuff like sugar cane farms, bamboo, sniffer seeds, etc. They move so much faster, they go directly to the loose items, and they can even grab them items that aren't on ground level. You end up boosting the rates on your farms, and they operate faster! Not to mention all the iron you save from not needing to craft a ton of rails or hopper carts...
My favorite use is to take them with me while I'm mining up a ton of a resource, such as sand, dirt, gravel or stone. Just hand them a block, start breaking everything in sight, and then you save almost half your time because you don't have to run around picking up the items you just mined. The allay just does it for you. Even if that's the only use for them, it's still worth tracking at least one down!
@@chrismerrell7957I had Allays help me with my first mega-build (an outdoor concert pavillion inspired by Wolf Trap in Northern VA). They're *ridiculously* helpful for when you're 25 blocks above the ground, you place something wrong and then you need to break it-they'll go fetch the dropped item so you don't need to get down yourself (or worry about your blocks de-spawning).
I used mine to drain my monument and then repurposed them with conduits for a really easy, semi-efficient guardian farm. Not having to worry about collecting sponges, sand and torches was such a time saver.
@chrismerrell7957 to be fair saying you save iron is basically a savings of nothing, iron is the most free resource in the game, even bad and really inefficient iron farms will give you more than 1 person will ever need

🤔 The lighter blocks at the bottom make sense, oddly. But it’s because of light reflecting from the water. The upper blocks being darker due to the overhang, creating shadow, also make sense. Maybe, for any that go below the water, go back to a shade darker to represent them being wet? ❤ That whole sweeping curve is very aesthetically pleasing. ❤

OOoh i love the idea of an entirely new design pallet built on the literal bones of the another one. so cool. given the rivers, itd be super neat if some of the buildings were underwater and in the river as well.
If you flip the colours around on the walls around the island it would be better. It would be darker at the bottom as it would be dirty from water splashing against it and gradually cleaner to the top as it hasn't been under flooded water?

I love the idea of an ancient city recivilized by a future culture. Id love to see some river worship and or ruined down statues from a past area.

I wonder if later on as the series progresses we'll see the Mail System expand for larger projects to take place off far off beyond the world boarder, assuming that's ever going to expand I guess.
With Pearl mentioning the shopping district receiving a mailbox I could see commerce on Hermitcraft working somewhat like a shipping service.
The permit system is honestly pretty similar to something I wanted to explore with friends in a create server but I could never get it off the ground.
no probably not, even a thousand block distance would require about 8 chunk loaders, doing that for 20 hermits for distances likely much larger than that just isnt likely to happen.

People use their second accounts to view their base in a third person view. You've probably seen all the time lapse footage or the camera flying through their base and that's what they use if they aren't using the replay mod due to the replay mod taking up a ton of storage.

I have an idea for your terraforming of the gold farm+bartering farm and it includes the nether hub which would help advertise your rivers and islands business. You can build a small mountain or hill over the gold farm+bartering farm and have a waterfall flowing down to the nether hub. You can have different islands around all the nether portals with bridges connecting them. And a big lake or river flowing through or around the islands. Maybe the "water" can branch off to other areas that will get used like various hermit's industrial zones. Maybe because it's in the Nether you can have lava instead of water so people can use striders if they want. Or you can use stuff like blue concrete to get a water affect.
For your junkyard post apocalyptic civilization you should check out images of a town called Megaton, its from the Fallout games and its basically a town made out of a bunch of old airplane parts and scrap metal.
There are so many dystopian themes of different sorts this season. I love it!

You should make banners and maps to put into shulker boxes to mail to people so when they open it, they get obnoxious visual marketing for your business.

Do Allay not do the thing where they stay within like 30 blocks of the player in Java? I just hand mine an item and they follow me, but I'm Bedrock...
They do, but it's hard to tell and easy to accidentally leave that range and make them lose track of you!
Mortal Engine if you haven't seen i recommend it. The gold farm could be a combo of tank and skyscraper....

You guys should consider adding the small ships mod... it would go really well with the rivers and horses vibe everyone's been going with this season, and they're pretty customizable.
I would love to see them go full _Valkyrien Skies_ (with or without _Create),_ maybe throw in _Better End_ and _Paradise Lost,_ but that would probably have to be a separate series.
@@GSBarlev Yeah, they'll never go heavily modded on the main series (and I think that's reasonable), but the Ships mod might be small enough that they're okay with it. It's not much more of a departure from vanilla than the custom datapacks they use for hats and trophies.

I think it would look pretty cool if you turn the farm on the nether roof for Gold and bartering and turn it into a hot air balloon where the parts that are down low are the basket of the hot air balloon

Due to all of you hermits, I have finally settled on building a fantasy floating archipelago out by where Grians base is on my season 10 seed
Th egold farm looks like HypnoToad eyes, would be a giant toad but it tracks since Hypno is a co-owner
Castle style build ? Tallest builing in the centre with tiered hieght buildings surrounding ? So you can always see the other hermits building in the neighborhood?
Not sure if you are wanting suggestions but for the gold farm maybe a giant crawler tank that mixes Ren's gigacorp colors and aestetic with the legs from the octagon he did with doc? Or maybe even larger wider legs to cover the gold block areas
