Please keep repeating all pets should be microchipped, including indoor cats. The California Camp Fire had volunteers matching pets to owners for over a year. Dogs, cats, pigs, many pets can be microchipped. Thank you.
I have noticed that my female cats tend to want to go with me to the bathroom, just like a group of ladies going as a group to the restroom. Funny little fact.
My Precious lived 19 years...well into old age. She slept under the blankets with me & was a great comfort to me. She felt sorry when I had periodontal surgery...put her head on my shoulder & a paw on my cheek. She probably smelled the state of my gums. She felt bad for me, but what a comfort! I'll never have another like her. Right now I'm left with 4. 2 ferals (born outside) & a kitten I kept. Three are tuxedos & Bella (who's unrelated to mama & her oldest/youngest son) is a striped tabby I guess but not orange coloring. THANKS FOR ALL THE COMMENTS & WARNINGS.
That's so sweet, they do understand alot more than what we humans give them credit for, they are so awesome, amazing, animals I love my lil one's aswell they are purrrrfect for me...😂😂😺😻
Malka be careful tuxes get diabetes easily don't feed them human food! My baby was trained to take care of disabled people! He saved my sons life! Hated losing him! My current baby isn't a tux! Hes left pawed! He was abused for the first six weeks of his life! My son prefers female cats i prefer males !
I was told by my vet that only *20% of orange tabbies are female* . I adopted Solis (Latin for sun) at The Humane Society. She was separated from other kittens because she was being treated for Giardiasis. Solis had her last dose of medication and was cleared for adoption. She was all alone and I heard her muffled little meow from behind the plexiglass. Once I held her I could just feel she was the one. She'll be 1 yrs old April first.
Female cats are less likely to be adopted because some people don't want to deal with them when they're in heat or pregnant but neither want to spend money spaying them. Also they usually state that "males are more independent, hunt more, and like to explore outside more" so basically, males are more desirable for these people because they're easier as outdoor cats because their owners are not willing to take care of them as much.
Sad but true. Every pet should be spayed or neutered. Many cities offer free spay clinics multiple times yearly. There are no excuses unless someone is just lazy or stupid.
Strangely enough, many years ago, my female cat had kittens, 3 girls and a boy. The girls got adopted first and we kept the boy, who lived to be almost 19.
In Australia all the councils make the rescues make sure the kitten is desexed before handing over or has its desexing preincluded in the cost as you cannot register the cat, unless it's for breeding/unable to survive surgery. Even then that is way more expensive. You can get lots of free and cheap desexing from various places and get cat that are already desexed at a low cost every so often.
Strange bcz I want female cats. They're less likely to be away, get in a fight then lose from another cat only to be kicked out of his territory, and pees anywhere like dogs do. My previous cat isn't spayed and she did just fine, no unwanted kittens come out of her. Might've consider doing that if her heat turns out to be hard to handle (for her), because as humans do, removing re0roductive organs have long term effects like obesity, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, etc.
I am one of the exceptions, I guess. All my animals over the years have been female.... All bar one. (RIP Smegg, my little shadow). I found their temperament and behaviour more to my liking.... like minds I guess. PLUS they dont cock their leg on the furniture.... haha
My cat chose me when I was looking for a kitten to adopt. She sat on my lap purring for hours and walked right into the crate when I came to collect her. She was like you are my mumma. 😆 She's almost one now, female tabby ❤
The best animal companions are the ones who adopt their humans. Regardless of what you may be looking for in an animal, you’ll be much better off adopting the one who wants YOU.
My cat adopted me almost 3 years ago. I was only allowed one cat and I was going to choose one of his sisters. But he came up to me and was like 'you are mine now hooman' and I just couldn't say no to his adorable little face. Ahh memories...
My cat walked into my house, worms and everything and made herself at home lmfao. I used to want a boy cat but took in the Beautiful calico stray instead 😂 lmfao
@@instantgratification3925 She's not exactly very fine, but fine. Till march 7 2020, she was ok, but in that day, the exact day when here, in Brasil, the pandemic lockdown has begun, she had a convulsion. The first, unfortunately. Now she's epileptic, and takes 3 medicines a day... but is still my lovely Brinquita.
English is not my tongue language, so forgive my grammar... I took Brinquita from the street, when she was about 4-5 weeks old. She was in a very poor health condition, so much so that the veterinarian suggested to be more human sacrifice her. But I took care of her, and a few weeks later, she was great. Besides a dental problem when she was 11 years old, she was never ill...
I think how affectionate a cat is definitly depends on personality and how they were treated. For example, 3 years ago I was adopted by a beautiful female Lilac Lynx Point Siamese. She'd been abused by former owners (based on her extreme reactions to innocent actions like putting a shoe on and spraying perfume) and eventually abandoned in my neighborhood. I was out walking one night and she followed me home. It's been 3 years since then. She's very attached to me, my sister and my mom. When my dad comes home she hides from him. She can be very loving (and protective) cat, however it does depend on if she likes the person. Males and strangers are a not welcomed by her.
My first cat I think was abused then abandoned. She followed my dad from a bustop to the house. She was only fed tuna by her past owners as that was the only she would eat. Good tasting food not so great for health. She eventually got killed as a kitten by the neighbors dogs. A few days later my family and I found out that neighboe had been training her dogs to kill cats. I believe she did get arrested, but got bailed out very quickly. I wish she wasn't she deserves to be in there. She's toxic and verbally abuses her sons. I've heard it as well. I plan to record a conversation soon so I can at least get something done. I can't stand it honestly. The neighbor shouted at me for being on 'her property' when it was in my garden.
My first cat was a female outdoor cat named Queenie. (We don't live in an area with too many dangerous predators) We always left food out and let her choose when she wanted to come in or stay out. She would come in when weather was really bad but preferred to stay outside and catch her own food most of the time. She had a litter of kittens and raised them all by herself until adoption. Amazing survival instincts and the smartest cat iv ever known. She passed away at 20yrs from old age. I feel like she lived life to its fullest.
I have had male pet cats with maternal instincts. I've seen them guarding and watching over newborns and kittens. The most amazing thing i've seen is when one of my male cat watching over 3 small kittens saw them almost at the edge of the balcony (we used to live in the 2nd floor of an apartment building). He rushed to them and one by one and carried them back to their nest. Sometimes he'd just block them from getting near the edge.
We had a male cat and a puppy who was the runt of his litter. The puppy developed an infection and our male cat jumped into the puppy's bed and wrapped himself around the poor puppy. Our cat would also come and "remind" us when he thought it was time for puppy's medication. Those two were inseparable for the rest of the cat's life.
my kitten's dad (that is my neighbor's cat) also had maternal instincts. he would nap with his babies when the mom isn't around and play with them as if his wife is asking him to babysit the kids lol
When they say male cats don't care about their young, maybe female cats won't let them. By instinct, It's nature. But I'm sure if given the chance, if the mother died for example, they probably would. That would be an individual thing though
My cousins had a litter of kittens and there was this beautiful white calico female who always was so loving towards me. I assumed she was like that with everyone but then I heard my cousins talking about how anti social she was and how she hated everyone. She looked a lot different from her mothers and siblingss so I think she may have had a different father (we did see her mother coming back home with 2 different toms once). I miss my Cleo
@@GreekGypsy and I also a had Cleo Calico! Ive had three, they are definitely special! I heard of one family who named their small kitten Cleopatra too. But when they realized it was male, they renamed it Cleopatrick!!!
My cat Luna was a rescue. My next door neighbors moved and just left her outside. She decided she was then my cat, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. I cannot fathom how humans can be so cruel. She’s the most affectionate, nondestructive, smart, and wonderful girl. I feel so lucky to have her, honestly could not ask for a better cat, and we made a pact that she’s going to live forever, so 🤷🏻♀️
I'm so happy you took Luna in & yes how can people just leave there pets behind when they move 🥺🥺 that is so mean !!!!! Some people don't deserve to have pets !!!!
My cat died last year while I was out of the country, she was 17 years old when she died and man I sobbed like a mad man when my mother phoned me that morning... Unfortunately I had to deal with that lose alone until my partner got back from work and I could get a hug and tell him... She was named Ceafa and was only a year younger than my little sister.
i'm so sorry for your loss. losing a pet is like losing your best friend. i'm sure Ceafa lived great life because of you and she was lucky to have you as her owner and best friend. sending you tons of love. ❤️
I am so sorry I am a total cat lover. They are just like your best best best friend. They are just so cute and at least she was with you for a long time❤❤ sending you millions of love for you and your cat.
My dad has a female cat named Kevin. I went to the pound with my dad to pick out a kitten. We chose the most affectionate kitten there. They had her notated as a male, 4 mo old, orange kitten. When we took her to get neutered from the same location they called us later to tell us we owed them extra money because she was female and they spayed her, instead of neutered. We told them they had informed us when we purchased her that she was made so they waived the extra fee. Now our female cat is named Kevin.
My pet cat Fuzzy is a calico. When she was pregnant, she held off giving birth until my girlfriend and I were home from work. She got in our bed with us and meowed and we made a comfy little box and then she started to give birth. When the kittens got older, Fuzzy really wore her mom hat and taught them so much things. She had taught the kittens to jump atop our 7 ft refrigerator to steal my potato bread (my girlfriend didn't believe me until I recorded it). The amazing part about that was the kittens who couldn't do it right away. She taught them to jump on the table and then jump on the refrigerator. Once they got to the top she would jump up, pull them down and have them do it again until they mastered jumping. When we had disgusting neighbors who had pet mice (that they left when they moved out causing an infestation) Fuzzy wasted no time teaching the kittens how to hunt them down. Weirdly, she would grab a mouse go over to the kitten she wanted to teach and drop the mouse next to them and block off any exits to the mouse so the kitten would learn the basics of hunting. She even wanted us to visit her in her box when she was taking care of the kittens. We used to not do it as we didn't want to confuse her by putting our smell on the cats. She would come to were we are and have us follow her and visit her and the kittens. When she wanted time to herself she would come into my home office or the living room where my girlfriend was and drop off the kittens until she was able to recharge the batteries. The trust she had in us was astounding and really opened my eyes to how cats can really be affectionate, intelligent and warming to people.
Pets are like small children. They: * have feelings just like humans * love to play * get into mischief * throw tantrums * want to eat your food too * love to be the center of attention * can be happy to see you come home * can get excited when going to see Grandma/Grandpa * can get excited to go to the park * can be stubborn and not listen * hate going to the Dr's (vet) * have accidents * go to daycare * can love/hate baths * wake you in the middle of the night * run to you when scared ... just like a toddler. Did I miss anything? lol My only kids are my feline furbabies. :-)
Or, you know, cats have different personalities just like people? I have had both my cats since they were born, one is a boy and one is a girl. My boy is way more affectionate than his sister. Just as a Siamese male who wandered into my yard several years back who had been through hell (abandoned, declawed, severely malnourished, blind in one eye, etc.) was way more affectionate than the female cat I had had since she was a kitten. Male cats being more affectionate most of the time may very well be true. That doesn't mean some female cats aren't capable of being just as or more affectionate. Same with humans. People constantly say that women are kinder and more compassionate than men, yet the worst people I have met have nearly always been women. The person who calls herself my "mother" is the biggest psycho, abuser, and narcissist I have ever met. It's called having different personalities.
The most affectionate cat I ever had was a black female. She still haunts me because I didn't pay as much attention to her as to some of the others. But I'm glad some others gave her attention.
Right after Hurricane Nicholas passed (Tuesday, September 14th, 2021), a stray Torti found me and cried like she had seen a murder, and when walked into my apartment without hesitation. I took her to the vet the next day for a medical assessment, to check for a microchip in case she was a lost pet, and to gain information on her age, type, and best care practices going forward. It's been almost two weeks now since we met and her name is Macchiato because, despite how hyped up and jittery she was when we met, she has been nothing but mellow and sweet afterwards -- and with me having been a Starbucks barista for almost nine years, it seems like a perfect fit. She's my first personal pet, too, and I could not have asked for a better one.
I love this so much! I found my male cat (profile pic) almost a year ago now by him just showing up at my apartment & followed with the same events! Got him fixed only 3 weeks after finding him, even though we still weren't certain we were going to keep him. Now we have adopted him a sister to be his companion, although turns out she's pregnant and now going to give birth soon! They are both my boyfriend and mine first pets, which was entirely random and unexpected, because we were talking about getting a dog before Mr. Tom showed up!
@@Yuki-di2rb Haha, Mr. Tom is the opposite of friendly! Little demon, but he has his very cute sentimental moments that make up for it. His sister we adopted (Cinnamon) had her baby soon after that comment & her baby’s almost 6 months old now! It was so precious watching her grow up
My mum was owned by a tortie , she was a sweetie and full of tortitude , while my neighbour has one who thinks she is a bat.....love them , colourful and full of cattitude
My baby is 6 months old now, I found her in the middle of the highway scared to absolute death, starving, and traumatized. She was only 8 weeks old. She is a very light toned tabby and absolutely gorgeous with an attitude to beat the band but she is also incredibly affectionate. I named her Kia because I rescued her in my Kia Forte. We bonded immediately, honestly she's changed my life ❤️
My grandson has a tuxedo named Nissan... She fell from underneath a Nissan driving down the road. Daughter in law saw it happen and picked her up. Vet said she was uninjured. Just a few scrapes and bruises. Lucky girl and lucky family to have Nissan
My childhood cat was a white female named Sassy (named after the iconic cat in Homeward Bound). She lived up to around 20 years & was the most affectionate cat ever! She'd visit me while I slept & would sit in my lap. She'd gobble up turkey during Thanksgiving even when she no longer had teeth. She was motherly to us kids & the other cats our family eventually adopted (2 males who unfortunately did not live nearly as long due to urethral blockage). I was heartbroken when she passed but so grateful to have shared such a bond with her during my childhood & early adulthood. Years later I still see her in my dreams & out of the corner of my eye sometimes. I believe she's still watching over me, & I hope my current cat Rudy has her blessing to live a long life as well.
I have a black female named Sassy. She was abandoned, got pregnant, and bit someone from the original rescue when they took her kittens. Because of the bite history, the 2nd rescue was having problems placing her, so I adopted her. She took almost a year to learn to trust us but is confident and secure.
I have a torti named Bella! Her father was named Squeek and he was one of those super rare male tortis, and her mother was my beautiful Siamese named Cotton .. I don’t have a point , I just like talking about my cats 🥰
I have a Tortie name Bella! I rescued her from a tree outside my office. She’s a one person cat. Only likes to be around me. When my daughter and her family or my friends visit she hides until they leave!!!
@Маша Паракина not too sure , he belonged to my neighbor who actually claimed he was fixed LOL but the birth of his doppelgänger Bella said otherwise 🤣
I’ve always had cats. Males and females. All spayed. They are long livers with Scnapps, a ginger, who lived until he was eighteen. Scnapps came to stay for a weekend. He just never went home. Presently my shorthair tabby, Macy is 16 years old and very agile for her age. Molly (I didn’t know it was nickname for females) was given to me by a friend. She is a Torte and came at about 16 weeks old. She is now 4 years old. She plays and chases Macy who is not always pleased about it but has enhanced her live very much since her arrival. They have very different personalities and I wouldn’t change them for the world.!!!!
My oldest cat was a Tortie and White. I was asked to take her as an emergency foster (cruelty) and I fell in love with this crippled little girl instantly and she with me. Suffice to say, I immediately adopted her. She was about 8 years old at the time I had her for 15 years meaning she was 23 when she passed. My next oldest was a Tabby and White - she lived to 20. Her sister, an odd-eyed white lived to 18. My current oldest cat is another Tabby and White (no relation to the others) who walked into our house as a kitten one day and never left. He is 21 now.
I mostly had female cats growing up. They were all sweeties. Some of them even borderline clingy. I miss every one of them. The toms too of course. I'd trade anything to have them back.
feel the border line clingy😂 my 2 tortis go pee with me and sleep in my bed at night (even though i’m a kicker and knock them off a lot). one even plays fetch😂
@@maddycoo We took in a pregnant tortie when I was a teenager and she insisted on sleeping between my knees. I was also her chosen babysitter when she had personal business to take care of. She'd bring me a kitten from the basket on my bed, give me a look and then hop off when I accepted the bundle of fluff. (Usually I was sitting on the bed watching TV/playing games anyway so it wasn't far.)
I have always had male cats..this time at the shelter, even though I went for an older black male, I ended up with a little grey 6 years old female and she is the most loving and funny cat I could have ever asked for:) Its the cat, not the gender I think
There's a cat that lived 38 years, why haven't people study in great detail how these cats lived so long? If there was a 200 year old person, people would be interested in how they did that. I want my cat to live 38 years, damn it.
We need to start preparing the right foods ourself. Everything on the market is all by product-(bone and scraps people dont eat) and preservatives, also a lot of fillers such as corn, grain, and wheat which isn't nutrition based for cats.. this is including the popular wet foods and kibble..so why are we feeding it to them? It isnt right. I'm gonna start preparing it myself.. I'm doing my research lately on what i can make at home for my own kitty who is only 2 years old. Im doing it so she can live a happier, healthier life with me
First thing, diet, that kibble shit is not food! Second, all the vaccines every year don't help. Third, take your cat outside, they are animals, they like the outdoors!! And the neutering/spaying lowers their metabolism, so they get fat, being fat is never good for anyone.
The cat owner did answer. People of course doubt what he said coz it's strange but it's actually believable, he makes most of their food and by doing that he can directly control the nutrients they take in. But in cases where cats are raised from store bought wet it's not gonna be sure to live super long coz those foods are still processed. It's just like how many people who eat more homemade than can food are healthier
After watching this video, I told my (neutered male) kitty he needs to get a job and help support his HuMom. He gave me a look implying that he's too busy running the household and guiding me through life, and besides, earning filthy money is molly's work.
@@slovnicurling9808 What's cringe is when people like you feel the need to criticize something so harmless. Like, what do you care if people enjoy the bond they have with the animals they've raised?? What's the point in trying to shame them? You actually think you're better than anyone? Don't kid yourself. Btw, animals raised by humans from a young age DO see those humans as their parents. It's just that, most adult animals aren't exactly close to their parents so I personally think that they see those humans as companions/friends and not parents anymore
@@fabiana7157 : Great minds think alike!!! You said exactly what needed to be said to Slovni Curling. I was Mum to my beautiful stray Siamese, Baby Boy, who lived to the age of twenty-seven. My Baby Boy died in my arms at the Vet Hospital. He had Kidney disease. His Doctor said I had to make the choice of watching him painfully suffer for another week, or letting him go in just a matter of four to five minutes. The hardest choice was made because if I decided to let him linger with pain, I would be the selfish person just to have him with me until God took him up to Kitty Heaven. I just couldn't in good conscious let him suffer anymore the way he did. I had my My Baby Boy cremated, and I have his ashes in my bedroom closet...but I've never had the strength to open the box. I've just let him rest in peace and quiet. And yes, I was his Mum for the twenty years we were in each others lives. His death happened in the late 1990's. I want to thank you for letting me have this "therapy session" with you. God Bless you and your furry Babies. EN...Posted August 14, '21
I'm sorry it strikes you that way. I was attempting to be funny but obviously failed in your case. May God bless you, and may your day only get better from here.
Number 9 is heartbreaking. I’ve always had male cats, but my mom has a female cat and she is sweet and affectionate. I hope the rate for female adoption goes up, they are such sweet animals overall regardless if male or female.
I' have male & female cats , I go looking for another cat I see who i' m drawn to and their personality, affectionate, playful e.t.c. e.t.c. and before they let you take them hm from the SPCA they spay them regardless of sex. I have 2 boys and 2 girls and their all wonderful! ❤️❤️❤️
@@Nola5427 when I adopted my cats I want a black female and I didn't want her to be alone so I just picked a cat that she seem to like. It was a male orange cat. Unfortunately my black Kitty died and then I had to get another cat for my orange cat. I got a female and named her Persephone My orange cat Phineas is actually my favorite cat. For a cat that just took because he seemed like the other cat liked him he is really a nice wonderful Kitty
Yeah my dad has a male cat and hes a complete asshole to anyone other than my dad. I got a female cat and shes the most sweet and affectionate cat i have ever seen. And shes a black cat on top of that and i seen thst blck cats dont get adopted as much because of the bad luck related to them
All my cats have been female and only 1 was an asshole😂😂 but I chalk that up to her being a street kitten for some time before I found her so she was somewhat stuck in certain ways no un attended food was safe around her😂😂 may she R.I.P❤
My indoor/outdoor calico lived 19 years. Super sweet and affectionate, she was the most amazing soul that I had the honor of raising. I miss her laying Next to me everyday!
Thank you! This makes me feel much better about my girl Ruby. She’s just over a year and refuses to stay indoors solely! She gets cranky if she doesn’t get outside time for more than 4 days
As a cat owner, I found female kittens become more cautious because of their maternity instinct since their young age. They learn to keep themselves safe even with their owner to protect their kitten in the future.
I adopted my kitten 10 days ago, unfortunately I wasn't able to see her until I went to pick her up because of covid protocoles, but as soon as I saw her little face in the pictures the people from the shelter where she was sent me I fell completely in love with her, and now she is here with me sleeping in my chest and I couldn't be happier with my little baby🥺❤
Congratulations! I still love mine just as much as when she was a kitten. Even right now as her purring, conked out, sprawled out 12 pound a*s is crushing my chest 8 years later.
I have 2 cats, both female. The oldest was the runt of the litter, born on 2004, and climbed up my pant leg to fall asleep purring on my arm. The second was born in 2012. I adopted her from the shelter when I was looking for a new kitten to keep my older one company. When I looked into the case, she stopped playing with the others and started scratching at the glass to me. Both my cats chose me and are alive, happy and well.
My childhood cat was the best one I’ve met in my life. He was already interested to lay next to me when I was a baby and since I can remember he slept next to my head on my pillow….every night. He had the warmest and most loving purring, paired with his face expressions. He always came to comfort me when I was crying or upset. Fiete became 21 years old and I miss him 😕
I grew up in a very rural area and there was always cats around, but with (ahhem) brief lives. We did not let them stay in the house. Fast forward to now...We have four mostly indoor cats. Two of them turned 10 this year! My girls Silver and Marmalade (SHE'S an orange 'bullseye tabby) were strays who arrived at our house within about 4 or 5 months of each other. Marmalade was malnourished and had lost part of her tail at some point. She's super affectionate, chatty and would rather hang out on the porch than inside. Silver is The (feline) Queen (we have an older boss dog). She used to wander, but a glacing encounter with a car(we think), about 5 years ago has caused her to stick VERY close to home! She is a Grey tabby who distinguished herself with our Vet because she had a unique internal organ configuration. Her bladder and uterus are fused together! He said that it was a first for him. I don't think Silver cares.😅 Keep these great videos coming!😻😻
I have a long haired black female cat named Sonja Morgan (Sonni) and she is the sweetest girl ever. Every morning when I m drinking my coffee and reading she will sit on my porch with me just waiting for people to walk by. As soon as they do she darts down the steps and takes the belly rub position. Most of my neighbors know her as well and some have changed their walks just to stop and see her. I was told by our neighborhood cat lady she is a Tiffany Chantilly, I don't know about that since we got her at the Humane Society, but I do know she is as sweet and loving as any male cat there is, she changed this decades long dog person into a cat and dog person ❤
My beautiful cat 'Princess' was abandoned in my neighbourhood and as I was not a cat person she soon won me over when she used to visit and ask for food. She also used to visit a old Tom who lived in the gutters eg no other cats did. She was so amazing and I lost her to a car hitting her. When I broke my ankles and come home from hospital she slept next to my ankles for the next two weeks. ..I still miss my 'Princess' her so much.
Assuming you knew the difference between pretty and beautiful, which it doesn't seem like it. Bella and bellissima differ in degree, not in meaning we should add
Had a female deliver kittens almost exactly 24 hrs apart, and they looked very different. I’ve always thought different fathers. Also had a cat named Mary as a child; she was always a Queen even when she wasn’t pregnant or nursing.
@@Spills51 she was for that one heat session. Her milkshake brought the boys to the yard. Then a few weeks later she went to the vet along with both of her daughters.
I have an adult female cat named Punkin, I adopted her from a family that wanted her to live with a single person in a quiet home. Which would explain why she's scared of anyone but me. I've had her now for 3 & a half years. And, I care for a female stray outside, I named her Muffin.
I had named my Bellatrix (Bella for short she responded to both) after the witch in Harry Potter. She was a Grey Tabby as in her markings were tabby like but just all silver grey, instead of orange like other tabbies.(Her 3 brothers were colored and marked similarly just with a varying amount of orange on them) She was a tall cat sitting at 12-15 inches. Sadly she gave her life protecting her two kittens at the time and I wasn't around to assist (living on the rez many dangers not just other pets). I still have one of them, she isn't as tall or as long bella.
I had a male calico when I was about 6. We called him Patches. He sired a litter with the stray who lived under our house. One of them was a female calico. We called her Patches Junior.
I once knew a lady ginger kitty who appeared to be a stray, but hung around me and my mom all the time anyway. Then, she made of point of "introducing" her kitten to us! Female kitties can definitely be affectionate. :)
I had a kitty named Bella. We took her to the vet and had to change his name to Chase. Turned out Bella was a boy. Such a pretty kitten, it's taken us a while to get used to calling him Chase
Had a black spayed female cat named "Inky". She lived to 20-21 years. She was dumped on our doorstep and after opening the door to see what was mewling, in she walked, this tiny kitten, went straight to our other cat's dishes, helped herself and was home for good!
3:40 All female animals, including humans, generally live longer because they have two X chromosomes. In other words, if one of the X chromosomes has a defect, the other can act as a substitute. Increased testosterone and cortisol levels are also negatively associated with decreased life expectancy. All in all, it sucks to be a guy sometimes.
True. And it doesn't always necessarily related to neutering/spaying. If what applies to humans applies to cats too, actually doing those two things will likely cause long term effects like obesity, osteoporosis, and cardiovascular diseases, and may actually does the exact opposite. My friends' cat turned permanently obese after going through sterilization surgery, which happens far more often than we like it. And it's even worse doing it to a kitten, which happens to be pushed by a cat hater, making the said cat suffers from osteoporosis too, which just add to the burden of the said obese cats, because obesity as we know it, put so much pressure on the bones and joints of the said cats.

He chooses where he goes most of the time and is a massive suck-up to the neighbors hahah We'll see about Cuddles, her heats are gettin a bit too much to handle for all of us here. Though it's only a week, she also has exhausts awfully quick while it's happening and we have to watch over her constantly as it's the midst of summer We decided to get it done soon now though, for both her and our relief I hope it all goes well for my girl, she's going to be about 1 year old in november? December? Not too sure. Her first heat was at around 4 months which was unexpected
In humans it’s also believed to be due to mitochondrial DNA being passed on to kids if it’s beneficial to a female’s survival, when it may not be beneficial for a male.
I have 3 cats, two males and my baby girl. I had been wanting a girl for a long time then I got one last year. She’s absolutely gorgeous, naughty but intelligent, brave, and lovely. She used to follow me everywhere when she was a kitty, and she still likes to stay with me most of time after she became an adult. She knows I love her the most 😊
*sigh* a lot of people are going to think I'm pathetic but I lost my kitty to breast cancer 3 years ago this November. I still cry over it. She was ornery, cuddly, independent yet slept on my mom's legs. "Tortitude". I still miss you, Princess Fluffbutt. I think I always will. (Actively crying like an idiot)
Im so scared, my Mimi has a tumor on her little breast, and Im petrified, she is 14, she is my angel, my only love and my sunshine! Im so sorry for your loss sweety!
My male cats names: CHIP ( aka My big brave boy ) SPLEENS ( my big beautiful boy, and also inspired by grey still plays you tube channel, the Sims series ) SAD BOI (aka, the goodest boi , he always looks sad, but is so floofy and cuddly ) ....my females names ...MITZY ( well she is definitely her own cat) and SIGIL ( the queen, the ruler of all and we are just her lowly slaves) ...all my cats are spayed/ neutered. I rescued Sigil 2 years ago during a brutal winter, I was out in the forest tracking a couple of cattle that had gotten out ( ice made a branch fall and tore open the fence on the backside of my property) I didn't see her at first but my horse did ( my horse has an irritating habit of getting side tracked by little animals, he will literally sniff and try to follow turtles..sounds cute but it can be irritating ) and he stopped and inspected a cat ( Sigil ) at first I thought it was a dead cat..from up on the saddle it didn't look alive , but since he ( the horse) is usually sketched out by dead things, i figured I'd take a look..she was barely breathing, her face was tore all to hell...I couldn't just leave her to freeze to death...sooooo I put her in my jacket, hopped back on Pogo ( horse) and head for home which was about 1 or 1 and half hour ride..the whole time I was thinking to myself " this damn cat is going to warm up and come to...in my jacket...on the back of this horse and all hell is going to break loose" thankfuly that didn't happen. She eventually made a recovery, yes she did chew me up a bit at home, but a few days, warm food and love...she healed up well and has been my forever buddy ever since ( the other cats ? Oh yeah...those are her kids 😑, she was pregnant when I rescued her ) I didn't have the heart to get rid of em. So that's how I ended up with 5 cats. I regret nothing, I love my lil buddies.
Cats live long because of their genetics. I've had four cat, the first cat (female) lived 19 years old, and was a carrier of the FD gene (the gene of Scottish Fold ears). In the litter she was born there were three kittens, but she was the only one that was kept alive. I wonder if they were folds, too (My cat was black, the other two kitten of the litter were blue and red. The mum - a feral cat - was a long haired blue tortie. Hearing about different fathers, probably my cat's sibling were regular straight). I had her until last year and i loved her very much. Her name was Goku. A name that brought her luck, i guess. At the age of 8 she survived to cancer. My living cats are 10, 1 and 1.
I have had 2 male ginger tabby’s who were very stand-offish and I had a gray female tabby that would cuddle with me at the end of the day….she was my sweet baby girl….she passed too soon at 8 years old of a kidney disease….I was so heartbroken 💔….stood firm to not put my heart through that again….fast forward 20 years and this past January my adult son adopted a rescue and the first time I saw her as he presented her as a gift to me ….my sweet long haired tuxedo is soooooooo affectionate and bonded with me…..She has rescued me💕
My soulmate cat came from a shelter that I wasn't allowed into because it was during the height of the pandemic in 2020. I saw her picture on a shelter page on Facebook and I just fell in love immediately with her confident little stance and her big, curious, bright eyes. I KNEW she was the one. As soon as I got to pick her up, she was screaming up a storm and climbing all over me. She's now 2.5 with an adopted brother and I've never been so in love with a pet before in my entire life. She's legit a part of me now. Junebug, a chubby short-haired calico. 💞
my Bella was adopted (I did not name her) at 11 months, now 13 years old and so smart, sassy, cuddly and beautiful. ❤️ i hope to have many more years with her and her (non biological) brother Loki.
I've lived with two female cats in my life (four males as well) and in my experience the females don't seem as affectionate most times but when they are ready for attention they let you know. My current cat Mei is 10 years old and still confounds me with her attitude and I love her for that.
I've had a lot of experience with the female stray/feral cats in my neighborhood. They are the most affectionate and loving. The female cats stay around & form bonds while the male cats always roam and vanish.
My beloved red Persian cat Sasha lived to be 16, and she was an indoor cat, and spayed. Her successor was my mackerel tabby cat Carol, who lived to be 11 and she was also spayed. I liked the fact that girl cats are right pawed.😻
I think another reason it takes longer for females to get adopted is because it costs more to spay then neuter. I've heard people say this more than once
Spaying is how you sterilize a girl cat. You open her up and remove ovaries and often their uterus. While neutering is removing testicles from males. It's basically just a snip snip. Much less complicated procedure. That's what she means.
If your cat is pawing at it's ear like the white one please get it checked by a competent vet, my Tabby lady was doing this and she had a check up and the vet said she was OK but may have picked up a flea, by the time we found the truth the tumour in her inner ear was unopperable as it was almost touching her brain. She passed away the night before what was going to be her last trip to the vet.
The first cat I ever owned is a female, and her name is Smokey but we call her Mama because when I was really young she gave birth to not one, not two, not three, not four, but five kittens in a closet. Two girls named Trouble and Baby, and three boys named Koda, Diablo, and Lukas. I still have Mama, Trouble, Baby, and Diablo to this day. We gave Lukas to someone who still has him. Unfortunately, Koda was killed by a dog.
Hmm, My female cats are tons affectionate as the male cats I've known. With the exception my newest boy orange tabby is very affectionate, but I think tabbies are just known to be affectionate cats in general.. Definitely boils down to raising and personality, I can't believe whoever put this study out saying males are more affectionate when I've experienced both equally. :/ Damn there are some not affectionate people up in here, that's for sure. So ready to rile up and toot your angry horn, aren't you? Just speaking my experience, it's not a sin, just expressing. If you want to express your anger against a random on the internet, by all means, fire away. I'm not the one boiling over for other's display. :p
And I have experienced the exact opposite. Just because your experience is different doesn't mean most males aren't more affectionate. I have had my two cats since they were born, one boy and one girl. My boy is way more affectionate than his sister, and they were both raised the same.
It’s not that Females are less affectionate, they just show love differently. Males have a more physical love language. But yeah females come off as a lot more distant due to this, and also stop taking your own fucking experience as an indisputable fact that can debunk and entire study like that’s just snowflakes syndrom.
@@youraveragemexorican The only snowflake I see here is the person who labels others as snowflakes so them themselves feel special. the person is just expressing their experience from a video saying females are less affectionate cats. Youre believing a single video other than people who have experienced otherwise and that alone speaks volumes. Maybe ease up and allow yourself to listen to others experiences rather than getting angry at them and calling them names and calling them invalid just because you believe the video ?
My female cat lived to be 18. The vet was surprised since they saw her when we found her and said she would not of lasted more than another night outside.
I had a Bella growing up in Germany in the 60s. She was pure black and a genius. I could make up all kinds of games and she would play them with me. Like chase, she would chase me. She also did what I call Hitchcock cat, where she freezes in her tracks if I'm looking but continues to stalk me when I go around a corner. We remember them like our children.
This was pretty cool. I’ve been rescuing cats(mostly) for over 3 decades and learned everything through experience. A pair of sisters tiger and Tabatha who were in a truck yard with six other cats where my brother used to work. Thank God he took me there one time, because shortly there after he committed suicide. So I immediately took over. All the cats lived till at least 17. Tiger and Tabatha both lived the 22 years old. But also, housed with homemade condominiums. I would not let them have it any other way. 😉. Everything happens for a reason. If my brother had not showed me this I’d never know and the cats would have been in serious trouble. It was my privilege to take care of them. I truly miss it.🙏🏼👍🏼💪🏼🐈💕🎉🥰😎
About 27 years ago I was going to get a kitten from my Aunt. One of her momma cats had a litter of 8. They were half wild and after almost 2 hours of trying to catch the one I wanted I finally just decided that whichever one I caught would be the one. It was a Tortie. When we got home I looked and noticed that it was a male. Hubby didn't believe me until he checked. But I decided that I would let our vet confirm. Once at the vet, he kept telling me that it was near impossible that my Tortie was a male and that I was wrong. That is until he checked. His eyes got big and he looked at me then said in a hushed voice, "This Tortie is a (slight pause) male!" Named our Tortie 'Patches' and that cat became best friends with our Great Pyrenees/Collie mix female. Our blonde dog would lay down and our dark cat would crawl up and lay on the dogs shoulder and they would nap like that for hours ☺️ Our dog was quite sad when Patches disappeared. But at least I have proof that we did once have a male Tortie 😎
I miss my grandma's cat. He lived to be eighteen, spending his last two years indoors. My grandma's other cats died before, and like bobby, he disappeared one day and never came back. Rip Bobby, Snowball, and Garfield, you are missed :(
I've had 3 calicos in my day, and they were all female. My experience has been that if you get a cat while still a kitten (spay/neuter it) and raise it with much love and attention (regular vet visits/shots), no matter if they are male or female, they will be a loving pet! I DON'T DO KITTEN...NO KITTENS BORN at my HOUSE! Any cat that comes my way comes in under it's own steam! I have EVERY cat spayed/neutered. It's worth the $ for sure!
My number one priority would be to have a loving kitty!! Although I'd love to adopt I'd like to raise a cat from a young age to properly socialise them in their developmental period. This is why I'd prefer to adopt a young kitten rather than an older kitty
I have always been a dog person until I met my girlfriend. Her family was all about cats and her older sister had a female that kept on getting pregnant while in heat. After giving birth to her first litter and not being able to keep the kittens we originally wanted, we settled for two male kittens.. but it didn’t work out. We gave them both away to a pair of friends that lived together. Next litter, my girlfriend knew exactly which kitten she wanted. I on the other hand was unsure. I was struggling to choose between two kittens. The first was a very beautiful tri-colored kitten and the second was light grey white white stripes and dots all over her body. I was really tempted to choose the tri-colored because of her beautiful coat but the more I got to spend time with the kittens, Nova chose me. The gray kitty started giving me every sign telling me she wanted to go home with me and be mine. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t see them much so they weren’t used to my touch and all kittens would try to run out of my hands as soon as I picked them up and so did Nova but the more time I spent with her the less she did it and the more she’d curl up into my chest. Long story short, I’m so happy I chose connection over any other reason.. she’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
I had a female Calico named Belle. She was 15 years old when she passed away last year. I really miss her as I had her since I was about 9 years old, she was my therapy cat. But I'm so grateful that I had her for the time that I had with her.
Fantastic Channel, in my recommendations. The Beloved Creme Puff and owner Jake, who lives in Texas. I think he had another Cat that was a record holder. Have subscribed. Looking forward to watching your other videos. Cate from Sydney Australia 🐾🐈👏💗
I've had a lot of cats throughout my life and the majority of them were snuggly and affectionate, regardless of gender. I used to have 5 cats at a time. If one died I would go to a shelter and adopt another but I stopped adopting cats and now I have two. I am trying to reduce the possibility of me outliving my cats and them not being adopted after I die.
I have just been adopted by an absolutely beautiful little one year old female Tonkanise called Gizmo ❤ She has absolutely stolen my heart and has really helped my depression - I have only had her a week
My first cat got pregnant at 7 months old. She ran out the house one day and stayed out all night. I found out later the next door neighbor's cat was the dad. I kept one cat out of the litter. She was a calico main coone. She was the best cat I ever had. I miss her. 💜💜
We rescued a pregnant black cat and named her Bella Notte (after lady & the tramp = "beautiful night"). When we adopted out her kittens, 2 of the girls were named Bella after their Mom, and a boy named Bela Purrgosi (after the famed Hollywood monster actor, Bela Lugosi, as well as being Bella Boy, after his Mom)
I had a cat named Callie (guess what kind of kitty she was lol). She was born and lived at the family farm her entire life. She passed away at 14, in her sleep, in the hayloft of the barn. I imagine having her spayed at a young age helped her live a long life, but she was also a smart cat.
Which of these female cat facts did you find the most fascinating? 😺
Did not know you could make so much money from a cat. Wow!!
Definitely found it fascinating that Jake Perry is a massive liar 😂
@Wijnand van Sten We call male cats Tom and females are called Queens. They discuss it in the video
Female were usually.. right 😂😂😂
Please keep repeating all pets should be microchipped, including indoor cats.
Same with me...😂
My xander man would always come in and crawl into my pj pants around my ankles
Yup. My females do the same with me 😁
Lol!
Yes my Sweet Pea comes as well lol.....no pun intended haha!
That's so sweet. ❤ Cats definitely know when we aren't feeling well. They're amazing. 😺
@@ThePurringJournal Yep my 2 always stay by my side when I'm not 100%.
Love tuxedos - your kitty soundsso sweet.
I just adopted a female orange cat. She's a sweet heart. I had no idea orange female cats were somewhat rare until we had her for a couple weeks.
I have a female orange cat too! Didn’t even know they were rare until I got her
No way! I have a female orange tabby cat whose birthday is also on April First, what a coincidence!
I have a female orange tabby too!! She'll turn one in February! She is the sweetest little bean!!
I have a ginger male and 2 ginger females
My female tabby also went into a crate while I was picking some cats out haha ❤️
I had outdoor cat that lived 15 years old
My cat walked into my house, worms and everything and made herself at home lmfao. I used to want a boy cat but took in the Beautiful calico stray instead 😂 lmfao
38 years wow! That is amazing 👏 May all the cats live that long and be healthy.
My beautiful cat has 22 years, almost 23, now. Sleep almost all the time, but is still a wonderful companion.
How's her health condition?
@@instantgratification3925 She's not exactly very fine, but fine. Till march 7 2020, she was ok, but in that day, the exact day when here, in Brasil, the pandemic lockdown has begun, she had a convulsion. The first, unfortunately. Now she's epileptic, and takes 3 medicines a day... but is still my lovely Brinquita.
@@tininha58 I am so sorry to hear that. I hope she'll be okay very soon.
@@instantgratification3925 thank you.
@@breadblair Wish you the best of luck, sorry you have to deal with a neighbor from hell.
It's good to be chosen!
How is a Lilac Lynx Point Siamese different from a Lilac Point Siamese?
@@psychicviking ??
I had a male cat who allowed his new kitten companion to pacify on him. They were both male and fast friends for life.
You meant to say that your male pet cat had PATERNAL instincts.
my kitten's dad (that is my neighbor's cat) also had maternal instincts. he would nap with his babies when the mom isn't around and play with them as if his wife is asking him to babysit the kids lol
I also had a calico named Cleo❤
@@GreekGypsy and I also a had Cleo Calico! Ive had three, they are definitely special!

You adopted her?? 😍

LOL 😂 I’m glad you kept the name and didn’t change it. Too cute 🥰
My female cat is called Mowgli haha!
Dude every cat is a female
That' s to funny! Lol, Love the story.

My dad's cat is 19, she is beautiful with such a kind nature. A little slower these days, loves rolling around in the sun and staring out the window.
my cat is the same way, even at 17! i’ve actually found that she’s gotten more affectionate as she’s gotten older

They:
* have feelings just like humans
* love to play
* get into mischief
* throw tantrums
* want to eat your food too
* love to be the center of attention
* can be happy to see you come home
* can get excited when going to see Grandma/Grandpa
* can get excited to go to the park
* can be stubborn and not listen
* hate going to the Dr's (vet)
* have accidents
* go to daycare
* can love/hate baths
* wake you in the middle of the night
* run to you when scared
... just like a toddler.

I hope you find him ❤
Let’s hope your cat is okay and found a stray group of cats to live with for safety! ❤️
I have a female cat, she's extremely affectionate. That whole "males are more affectionate" thing is just a myth.
@@englishatheart Well, obviously personality plays into it, that's why it's just a myth, lol.
The most affectionate cat I ever had was a black female. She still haunts me because I didn't pay as much attention to her as to some of the others. But I'm glad some others gave her attention.
omg my female cat is soo innocent, when someone kicks her she just says 'meow' slowly and run away lol. rlly hate that guy who kicks her.
@@greenja4688 Who the hell is abusing your cat?!
I got my cat after Hurricane Matthew a friend that was allergic to cats found her and told us she had a infected eye but she is a good cat
@@Yuki-di2rb
Haha, Mr.
Awwwwe I love this happy ending for you both 🥰
My baby is 6 months old now, I found her in the middle of the highway scared to absolute death, starving, and traumatized. She was only 8 weeks old. She is a very light toned tabby and absolutely gorgeous with an attitude to beat the band but she is also incredibly affectionate. I named her Kia because I rescued her in my Kia Forte. We bonded immediately, honestly she's changed my life ❤️
Hey wanna be cat parents together
Mine was abandoned
My grandson has a tuxedo named Nissan... She fell from underneath a Nissan driving down the road. Daughter in law saw it happen and picked her up. Vet said she was uninjured. Just a few scrapes and bruises. Lucky girl and lucky family to have Nissan
tabbies are amazing,so glad u meet her!
I have a cat called Sassy too but she hates people. She's has a slight attitude hence the name.
I think that's what most of us were doing here...and I'm over here reading everyone's comments getting to know their fur babies 🤣
@Маша Паракина not too sure , he belonged to my neighbor who actually claimed he was fixed LOL but the birth of his doppelgänger Bella said otherwise 🤣
@@ginamcdonald7854 mine is super selective ! I call her my judge of character cat. She’s never been wrong yet
My tortie was Bella

So sweet! It's true that cats have very different personalities. 😺
Even killing me and selling my soul to satan whos name could be mr. Darklord fluffy butt
feel the border line clingy😂 my 2 tortis go pee with me and sleep in my bed at night (even though i’m a kicker and knock them off a lot). one even plays fetch😂
I've only had males a few times, I was surprised people prefer them.
Mine are the opposite. My 2 boys are needs and my female shes just fiesty
I have always had male cats..this time at the shelter, even though I went for an older black male, I ended up with a little grey 6 years old female and she is the most loving and funny cat I could have ever asked for:) Its the cat, not the gender I think
I have had both male and female over the years, and yes it's the cat's personality more than the gender that makes the difference.
yes some cats are more affectionated than others,, just like humans
There's a cat that lived 38 years, why haven't people study in great detail how these cats lived so long? If there was a 200 year old person, people would be interested in how they did that. I want my cat to live 38 years, damn it.
Well - they asked what owner did and he answered.
It's just some "experts" are not sure about his answers ;-)
We need to start preparing the right foods ourself. Everything on the market is all by product-(bone and scraps people dont eat) and preservatives, also a lot of fillers such as corn, grain, and wheat which isn't nutrition based for cats..
this is including the popular wet foods and kibble..so why are we feeding it to them?
It isnt right. I'm gonna start preparing it myself.. I'm doing my research lately on what i can make at home for my own kitty who is only 2 years old. Im doing it so she can live a happier, healthier life with me
Cause they heard coffee and wine and freaked out
First thing, diet, that kibble shit is not food!
It's cringe when people call themselves mom/dad when talking about their pets but HuMom is on another level. Gratz.
Thank you!
@@slovnicurling9808
What's cringe is when people like you feel the need to criticize something so harmless. Like, what do you care if people enjoy the bond they have with the animals they've raised?? What's the point in trying to shame them? You actually think you're better than anyone? Don't kid yourself.
Btw, animals raised by humans from a young age DO see those humans as their parents. It's just that, most adult animals aren't exactly close to their parents so I personally think that they see those humans as companions/friends and not parents anymore

i found my calico kitten in a parking lot and she’s the sweetest cat i’ve ever owned !
As a cat owner, I found female kittens become more cautious because of their maternity instinct since their young age. They learn to keep themselves safe even with their owner to protect their kitten in the future.
they are great mothers
Fiete became 21 years old and I miss him 😕
Same here! Over 40 years ago, and I wasn't even 5 yet. Lovable wee furry one. Still miss her :')

Actually, "bella" means "pretty", in italian we use "bellissima" to say "beautiful" 😉👍
In Serbian "bela" means white (female). So only if cat is white you will name it like that. 😄

Really enjoyed this video. Learned new facts. Thank you!
Men probably don't live as long because they get with the wrong chick who makes their life more stressful.

As soon as I got to pick her up, she was screaming up a storm and climbing all over me. She's now 2.5 with an adopted brother and I've never been so in love with a pet before in my entire life.

I think another reason it takes longer for females to get adopted is because it costs more to spay then neuter.
I've heard people say this more than once

Then just only spay or only neuter. Spaying and neutering sounds overkill.
Spaying is how you sterilize a girl cat. You open her up and remove ovaries and often their uterus.
While neutering is removing testicles from males. It's basically just a snip snip. Much less complicated procedure. That's what she means.
I really like 😊what you post here. I loved all the precious little felines - thank you❤🐈🐈🐈
If your cat is pawing at it's ear like the white one please get it checked by a competent vet, my Tabby lady was doing this and she had a check up and the vet said she was OK but may have picked up a flea, by the time we found the truth the tumour in her inner ear was unopperable as it was almost touching her brain. She passed away the night before what was going to be her last trip to the vet.
Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry for your loss.
How heartbreaking. I’m so sorry for your loss 😔
I'm so sorry!
Thank you. I do admit I miss the little lady. She once saved my life, and I mean that literally. I just wish I could have done the same thing for her.
7:15 is it this one? :o
Love that video
Hmm, My female cats are tons affectionate as the male cats I've known.
With the exception my newest boy orange tabby is very affectionate, but I think tabbies are just known to be affectionate cats in general..
Definitely boils down to raising and personality, I can't believe whoever put this study out saying males are more affectionate when I've experienced both equally. :/
Damn there are some not affectionate people up in here, that's for sure.
@@englishatheart doesn’t mean females arent equally as affectionate. Using your own words it’s only your experience, not most people’s.
@@youraveragemexorican omg chill out dude wtf
I truly miss it.🙏🏼👍🏼💪🏼🐈💕🎉🥰😎
My tabby, "The Claw," was a starving feral kitten when we met. She laid down in my lap and fell asleep, and that was it for me.
I’m so in love with her name! 😍
His eyes got big and he looked at me then said in a hushed voice, "This Tortie is a (slight pause) male!"
Named our Tortie 'Patches' and that cat became best friends with our Great Pyrenees/Collie mix female.
My experience has been that if you get a cat while still
a kitten (spay/neuter it) and raise it with much love and attention (regular vet visits/shots), no matter if they
are male or female, they will be a loving pet! I DON'T DO KITTEN...NO KITTENS BORN at my HOUSE! Any cat
that comes my way comes in under it's own steam! I have EVERY cat spayed/neutered. It's worth the $ for sure!
Totally agree! 😺
My number one priority would be to have a loving kitty!! Although I'd love to adopt I'd like to raise a cat from a young age to properly socialise them in their developmental period. This is why I'd prefer to adopt a young kitten rather than an older kitty
My cat was neutered at age 4 and he hated me afterwards (but loved my aunt who was the one that insisted on neutering him)
Only female cats can be calico. It's a genetic thing. There are no male calico cats.
@@nuclearcatbaby1131 what age can you neuter cats? How young?
Yay! Now I know more about my cat! Thank you for making a video about female cats!
Thank YOU for being one of our pawsome viewers! 😺
" if you want to have your cat live long , spayed them " 🙂✌🏻
We just adopted a beautiful female tuxie. She's wonderful and very affectionate. Her name is BELLA! 🥰🥰🥰
Omg yayy the oldest cat was born on the 3rd of August like me :3
I've had a lot of cats throughout my life and the majority of them were snuggly and affectionate, regardless of gender.
I used to have 5 cats at a time. If one died I would go to a shelter and adopt another but I stopped adopting cats and now I have two. I am trying to reduce the possibility of me outliving my cats and them not being adopted after I die.
I never knew they were only called Queens during pregnancies, birthing and nursing...nor the other two nicknames at all! That was great! x
I have just been adopted by an absolutely beautiful little one year old female Tonkanise called Gizmo ❤
She has absolutely stolen my heart and has really helped my depression - I have only had her a week
My cat is Boudica, named after the celtic warrior queen lol
My cats are named Thunderhorse, Tiberius and Tabitha lol
She was a calico and i'm sorry for your loss
My male siameses name is Boss. And the female ones name is Reina which means queen in Spanish. They're both equally affectionate
I love how the black and white cat slowly got up and snuck away 😂…. I would be running away very quickly if a tarantula was starring me in the face 😂❤
