- One main reason why the automatic transmission in your car may not be shifting smoothly is the ECM is going bad. It is best to get this checked out by an experienced auto mechanic technician who understands the electrical system. Other indicators include bad connections within, or worn out sensors and faulty solenoids.
check transmission oil first and also replacement schedule as per manufacturer recommendation and specification must.

Troubleshooting was ok. I appreciate that you are doing well and explaining technically. But instead of changing ECM you can reprogram the ECU with Current gear selection from 3 to 1. . There is a option in transmission that you can select the current gear for the starting. I am sure that ECM required for reprogramming with selection of current gear number 1.
If you have Old ECM you can try with this reprogramming option.

I Exactly Face the Same Problem in my i20 1.4 AT but Bengal Hyundai Maniktala Unable To Detect the Problem and End Up Changing Automatic Transmission Oil and Costed me 23K then after this Giving additional Estimate or Advised to Sold the Car So I End Up Selling my Car as the HAS unable to Resolve the Issue very much Bad Experience With Hyundai 😢

In manual gear too this mismathing of gear selection is ECM is possible. When problem os jerk and low pickup comes it is possible that ECU is not recognizing in which gear the vehicle is engaged. So the fuel scheduling mismatch happens.

Bhai shukriya bohat acchi aur knowledge wali video hai, meray pas galant 2004 hai same issue ho raha, gear change kartay hi jhatka lagta hai, aur gadi ruknay par gear jaldi change nahi hota jahtkay say change hota hai, 80 kay upar speed RPM zyda hota hai, iskay baray ap kuch bata saktay hai, thank you.

Hello. I am facing somelike similar problem.
I have Elantra 2013 1.6 diesel automatic. My car stucks in 4th gear. This problem started step by step. Sometimes same happened in past,but automatically it recovered.
But now it's In 4th gear stucked.
Having harsh JERK while shifting from Park to Reverse, or shifting in drive. Very harsh JERK feels.
I have watched all yours videos on channel. You have very good hand in critical issues.
Please help me out in this.

Abhijit dada mere Verna mein ek dikkat aaraha hai. Jab mein gari ko slow speed mein smooth road par chalata hu to front wheel se kuch humming noise aaraha hai. Aur agar mein steering ko left ya right mein moorta hu to noise increase ho jata hai. Kya problem ho sakta hai? Please help.🙏🏻

Sir, there is ONE RECTANGULAR WHITE STRIP in i20 along the upper steering wheel axle (just near the steering height handle or under the axle round holder). That WHITE STRIP is broken recently in my i20. Can you please kindly tell the name or the part number of that broken part??? Thanks in advance.

Bro, meri cellerio 2015 amt me bhi yahi problem hai kabhi kabhi suddenly neutral ( free ) ho jati hai raste me, manual me shift karna padta hai fata fat and then thode time baad auto par set karne par tikh ho jata hai apne aap. Mechanic ko dikaya tha usne wiring ki problem bta tikh kr diya or sath hi clutch set change kr diya . Thode din toh tikh cali car but again recently same problem aa gayi. Koi solution nahi mil raha .help kro kuch.
