Regarding Guy Williams: It was Landon who was the ringleader in the of the "get rid of Guy" club. According to a newspaper interview with Dan Blocker in 1964 Michael felt that Guy was encroaching on his territory of being the" swashbuckler" ( Dan's words) of the group. Both Lorne and Dan followed Landon's lead. Williams had no idea what he was walking into, he had been working in Europe and knew only that Bonanza was a #1 show. He thought it was a good career move. I've also never heard Guy's acting criticized, he was terrific as Zorro and decent on LIS. David Canary was not good looking in the same way that Williams was and Landon felt no competition with him. For as talented as he was Landon was very insecure
I NEVER heard about the Wrecking Crew member helping to play the 'Bonanza ' theme ! VERY interesting ! :) I just remember that as a young kid I got a ukulele and my Dad - who was a self taught musician of sorts - taught me how to play the Bonanza theme on it. It didn't sound as good as the original, but I tried ! LOL...
Hi Barb! I just want to say thanks so much for giving us great episodes on the boys! As always I enjoyed this episode and thanks for the great photos. I love photography and so I'm just a big collector of Michael Landon in some of the Bonanza photos. I'm new to the Bonanza family but I already love all the different perspectives and shots that you are finding as well as just encouragement to go and look for stuff that we've never seen. Have a great day!
You confused Inga Swenson with Inger Stevens who was the actress who was in "Inger, My Love", "Journeu Remembered" and one other episode (not as Ingrid Bergstrom Cartwright).
I love your Bonanza bits episodes! ❤
Love your little stories❤
Fascinating as always
Barb thanks ❤

Interresting that corvette signed a guy who rides a horse. You would think they would be after james bond.
Chevrolet sponsored Bonanza so the cast did a lot of advertising them.
I didn’t like him 🤭
