I thought the AC30 sounded a little " fuller " and " bass-y " than the MV50. However, I also think the AC30 sounded more " muddy " or " wooly ". Not as sharp and clear as the MV50! Great little amp! Ciao Marco bella recensione !!! Tra l'altro come tuo solito non poteva essere altrimenti ! Devo dire che quest'ampli mi ha veramente sorpreso naturalmente da quello che si percepisce dalle casse multimediali. Devo dire che nella fase finale del video a mio parere vince addirittura sul CC2X ...il quale lo sento molto più magro...sottile e povero di bassi... scavato. Lo prenderò sicuramente come ampli di back up e da esercitazione e per piccole jam al volo con piccola cassa a corredo. Un salutone alla prossima !
Ti ringrazio! Rispetto al CC2X sicuramente ha più medi e buca meglio il mix (almeno così configurati come nel test). Un po' perché il CC2X era fortemente attenuato, quindi non poteva esprimersi al meglio. E poi perché il video purtroppo non riesce a cogliere la dinamica che c'era nella stanza...la differenza con l'AC30...ovviamente in favore di quest'ultimo. Detto ciò rimane un ampli molto convincente e valido. Prendilo tranquillamente e non te ne pentirai. Un saluto!

@@MarcoGDiMarco yes, so in this video you have the volume of the mv50 at 1/4th, but is there a reason you didn't turn the volume at full (like Brian May cranks the Vox AC30 to full) and then just use an attenuator to lose some of the volume but maintain some of the tone and distortion? again, thanks

When I play some metallic part of the guitar, bridge, pots, string... the noise goes down and when I release it it goes up again. The noise does not appear in guitar volume 0, when you raise it it starts and it is proportional to the volume, more volume... more noise.
Looks like a grounding problem then. Some ground noise is normal when not touching the guitar...I don't know if it's too much or not in your case. I have to ear it.
Yes Marco, but it is not the normal noise of the treble booster, how can I explain it to you? As if it were a typical hiss of lack of connection to ground that appears at the beginning when increasing the volume on the guitar, at zero volume it disappears, and at maximum volume also (guitar volume). I have tried it without the treble booster and the same noise continues, I have tried connecting it to another wall source, I changed the cables of the guitar, with another guitar, and the sound continues. It is strange because with the two units of MV50 the same thing happens.
Hard question really. They feel similar plugged into an AC30 IIRC but honestly I never A/B tested, I'm going by memory. Said that, I think the MV has a bit more bite (maybe gain) and you can noticed it better on clean parts. I think a direct comparison could be useful, I'll put it on my list.

Vox had to put a pot instead of the switch to control sound from flat to deep. I think in half position of this pot mv50 could sound as warm as ac30. But it will be something like tone control which mv50 already has...

I have seen that you recommend 12 impedance, but the Greenback have 8, the Blue Alnico I don't know. I don't want to cause any fire for it. What is the correct impedance for each speaker?

@@tomasmay3775 Better to connect them with the right value. So you have 8ohms speakers. If they're wired in series, like an AC30, you'll have a total impedance of 16ohms.
I owned a Digitech long time ago...never liked too much to be honest (works better with a TB in front). Nice for home use especially with headphones. I liked the Deacy setting anyway. Maybe I'll do a review of it in the future!

La "valvola" che c'è all'interno non è soggetta ad usura o allo stress di una vera valvola. Quindi dovrebbe essere eterna. Detto ciò, immagino che in caso di necessità, quel componente possa essere sostituito.
AC15 is a different beast, anyway...if you play a bit with the controls I think you can achieve a good approximation of a BM tone. The problem is the volume as always, you should push the amp really high, so maybe consider to buy an attenuator at least.
Brian May Tribute Alright. I was also wondering if the BSM BM-Q treble booster would sound similar with an ac15 instead of the ac30? And also do you prefer greg fryer tb’s or the BM-Q?

First one is an amp which sounds like an AC30.

Probably a faulty pot or a bad soldering on it.

Sure you can...you need a jack from the speakers like mine (so on the VR you need to do a little mod).

Would you take this to a gig just in case one of your amp blows. So you can plug into the pa with the mv50 for backup.

Each speaker has 8 OHMS, but I really don't know how they are connected to each other. Could I select the 8 OHMS or 16 option on the MV50? Could it cause any damage?

Oh well, I have just tried it on 2 AC30, and it has too much noise to ground, I bought 2 MV50, and both respond with the same noise. What will be the problem?
Are you using a Treble Booster?
Because if you're hearing a loud hiss, it's the pedal...and it's normal.

Do you think i would be able to somewhat achieve the BM tone with a new BMG Special played through my VOX AC15C1? Thanks in advance. :))
AC15 is a different beast, anyway...if you play a bit with the controls I think you can achieve a good approximation of a BM tone. The problem is the volume as always, you should push the amp really high, so maybe consider to buy an attenuator at least.
Brian May Tribute Alright. I was also wondering if the BSM BM-Q treble booster would sound similar with an ac15 instead of the ac30? And also do you prefer greg fryer tb’s or the BM-Q?
@@NicoNoer BSM is a nice TB. It will do job on every amp (especially valve ones).

You have to mod the amp to have a plug that connects directly to the speaker.

@@MarcoGDiMarco scusa è che da strumenti musicali.net dicevano che erano presenti due input e non capivo bene se questo lo fosse o meno, però pensandoci bene hai ragione, sai per caso se è possibile mettere una base per suonare su un ampli che non ha l' aux in, perché a me questo Vox interessa tanto più del combo vt20x ma perderei questa entrata che mi sarebbe molto utile, se scegliessi questo Vox MV 50.
