Yeah a lot of people really do hate on him, I mean tbh I at first didn’t like him much but I think once you understand him a bit he is a really complex and interesting antagonist, also thanks for the comment
@@SephTheSin He is a very complex, well written antagonist that fits Gintama extremely well. I think the biggest complaint people had was how he came out of nowhere but upon rewatch of the series there were so many hints here and there, especially considering Sorachi never seemed to mention something in the series without reason.
Utsuro is one of the beat villains because he also works as a great mirror into the personality of gintoki and oboro as well katsura and takaksgui please fo a video on kamui love the video
@@SephTheSin yeah and you might need to update this video since I hear he gets better in final movie, so I am excited to see where his character goes next, and definitely A great analysis, Utsuro is the perfect example of a Final boss
I am a manga reader so I do know the conclusion and resolution of his character (which will be shown in the movie) but since most people ain’t read it I chose to leave the video anime only, so in the future I may make a sequel
So I think ( by your analysis ) Utsuro isn't a completely evil . Just like a normal human . Because he created shoyo who believes in kindness , change and acceptance contrasting to his original self who is nihilistic 💙😌
One thing I do not understand is that if Utsuro just wanted to die, he could just go to any other planet and kill himself, then why he didn't do that. Like, when he was out of altana while fighting Umibozu, he just runs away. I mean dying wasn't his only goal. He probably not just wanted to kill himself but destroy the world that Shoyo had built by killing all Shoyo's students.
Another point I don't think you covered upon, the first time they killed utsuro, in all reality he wasn't even close to death, he ended up killing himself, not them killing him, that's just how strong utsuro is
That’s a very true point, I didn’t cover that as I didn’t want to cover manga/the final spoilers so I left out that point as it ties into his eventual proper defeat, thanks for the comment
Thanks a lot, I do plan on doing a Takasugi video but will probs wait till the Final is out in English before then just so I can’t talk about his character fully
There are no connections. Gintama was never tortured and killed many times or even prisoned until the prison fall. He was simply rescued by a gentleman who taught him how to live and appreciate who he is and his fellows.
But Gintoki was tortured, he lost many people who were important to him and he suffered through an extremely hard life that would have turned anyone towards the darker side of things. He doesn't need to suffer the same as Utsro to prove a point.
Utsuro is the embodiment of what Gintoki has been fighting against all this time.
It's so nice to see someone appreciate Ursuro as a character, I see too many fans hating on him

I’d totally agree, I can see how at first he comes out of nowhere but in hindsight it’s foreshadowed quite well and makes a lotta sense

Glad u liked the video and glad U also enjoy Utsuro, dw I have quite a few more Gintama video planned and Kamui might just be the subject of one

Damn thanks that means a lot

To finally die, he needed to destroy altana of the Earth
i think he also want to revenge and prove the true nature of human when facing despair
I've heard people say that it's implied he'd reincarnate with the Earth's Altana
I'll get back to this video if and when I get to watching Gintama.
Probably for the best considering how many major spoilers are in this video 😂, but thanks for the comment either way
Man i rlly liked shoyo so much that it broke me when he was revealed to be one of many personas of utsuro
