I've been watching your channel for a few years now and I love the new content, your animals. I love to watch your morning chores, feeding and moving them around. It is so pleasing to watch and they are such happy animals. Charlie couldn't wait for the food to hit the ground lol that was great! Great channel, it just keeps getting better.
Charlie cracked me up. So hungry get it before the food is in his feeder. You both are a great team. Making Babe a shelter . Happy it went smoothly separating the two.
Awesome job on the shelter for Babe- Having made a similar one for my sheep, I discovered that I needed to put plywood up on the lower third inside. This helped keep them from laying against the siding and pushing out the metal.
Your milk cow Rose is so docile. She knows exactly what to do when you are going to milk. You all do such a wonderful job keeping your animals happy and healthy. Love watching your videos. Stay safe, stay well and God bless.

That Charlie is a hoot eating as it falls! LoL! I remember the days when we were taught to reduce, reuse, and recycle. No one does that better than a homesteader. Y’all proved it reusing the tin for the shelter. It was nice to see that Kevin enjoyed getting to build a small structure. Sometimes the smaller projects help to give us the sense of accomplishment that keeps us going. Great video, you two!

I love how Rose trusts your loving care of her so much that she readilly goes into the barn and her milking stall knowing that she is going to be relived and well taken care of.

We had a holstein heifer once and a shelter just like that. She loved it. I loved seeing her black and white face poking out the doorway during storms, which was her way of saying hi to me as I fed and watered. It's true that the beef cattle have trees and hills for shelter in their huge pastures out here. They know the warmest places, least windy places, shady places to be in all kinds of weather. I like how the beef cow mothers will pick a babysitter cow for the day, so all the other moms can go off for a while. They take turns being the babysitter for the other mothers.
Easy peasy shelter, it will serve Babe good. I've seen others put a kickboard inside up just enough from the bottom (just so they can't get a hoof between) just in case for when they get up and accidentally kick out. Great video.

I couldn't figure out why our cow's cream went from 20% to 1%. Her calf is now 4 months old. Thank you for that tidbit of information. I look forward to more cream after she weans. Butter. Icecream!

I like a hoop house better than a pole barn. A hoop house can be sheathed with clear plastic which makes a warmer shelter. The smaller the enclosed area. within reason, makes a better shelter from wind chill. If you stake it with "T" posts it should be as sturdy as the pole barn and certainly more resilient.

I love seeing Rose. My registered jersey milk cow died 3 weeks ago unexpectedly due to hardware disease. It was definitely hard on us! Glad to see rose is doing well! 🥰

You should paint silhouettes of yourself while putting the roof on. The sun set a great way to see your shadow on the back side of the shed, it would be a touching tribute to all of your effort.

You are so blessed to have healthy animals…Babe might rebel and go thru the fence, my uncles calf did….shock or cream?….?….hmm. Creammmmmmm…. Just rewatched the bread making video from two years ago……I rolled four sections out flat and filled with pepperoni and cheese and of coarse pickled jalapeños for my husband. Brushed the tops with butter when they came out……easy dinner with a salad especially when it’s getting cold out.

Cows can be outside in the cold because they have both a leather coat and a fur coat.
What a way to recycle. Farmers have been doing this for eons great job.
That little calf shack came out great! I think it would look sooo cute with some bright sunflowers painted on the sides.
