I am embarrassed to admit....I have been playing this game over 18 months and am at level 60 ...but I have learned so much just by watching your videos over the last couple of days. For the first time ever I am starting to understand patterns and how to best set up my hero’s and boards for optimal impact. Than you so much for being willing to share your knowledge ..it is sadly something very few alliance members are willing to do (at least the ones I have been in) your explanations are so easy to follow and I will definitely be sharing your channel with everyone I come across in the game.
First of I love your name. Secondly, it took me a lot of alliances before I found the one I am in now and we actually have many discussions about tanks, defence, healers, strategy and the pros and cons of each hero etc. Our former leader has just been offered a spot in one of the 7DD alliances and we, the alliance, couldn't be any prouder of him. He is off to a bigger and better future as his growth continues. He gave me and my family member a chance to be a part of their alliance after we left a horrible one and let me tell you this alliance has some pretty damn amazing members. Every one helps each other and we have friendly banter and jokes to help with those stressful times...like struggling in the war...but I wouldn't want to be in any other alliance. Plus: I have learned so much from them. Did you know that there is an app called the Empires and Puzzles Companion? It takes the name of your hero and looks up their Power, Attack, Defence, and Health. You just put in your team in the appointed spot, then put in your opponents/other team's heroes and see who has what when it comes to matching the best for the war or a raid or defence. Just thought I would let you know
A very good video with very good explanations and descriptions. While many who see this video are experienced fighters, it is a great refresher and an incentive to re-engage with the boards and expand the field of vision.

Hi Anchor, nice tipps.. To add something to Tipp No. 3/4 Whenever I fight raids I look for the heroes to kill first when Ii get the opportunity after I eliminated the tank. Especially Alberich or Mother North who can revive other heroes. So whenever I get my specials somehow loaded I focus my attacks on them.. Secondly I am focussing my attacks on the really painful heroes like Zeline (I really hate her), Gravemaker, Mitsuko or Kageburado where the release of special is a massive limitation of my own heroes or lead to quick loss of life/hero to take them out preferrably. I tried this and won twice and lost twice. More practice needed! One of the things you didn't have in your progression for mid-tier players is when you have two or more enemy heroes about to go off and you can only hit one. Figuring out which effects are less harmful is key.
Having been playing for over 2 years, not spending hundreds of dollars to get all the 5*, I want to say that the tips offered here are spot on. You work with the heroes you have. These suggestions are great. Forget his heroes and take the information given and apply to your heroes and game

Actually there is one tip: have very many legendary heroes cause without them you can't use the other tips :-) Edit: One year after I wrote this comment I got a lot of legendaries, including special ones like mother north, ursena, vela, etc... Important to notice: I am free to play. So Don't give up, your time will come!
Thats actually not really true - a lot of the tipps can be used with 4* heroes too, the only thing I think that's covered wrong or cant be used when you dont have the heroes is the following: In most Cases if youre lvl 30 or something with only a bunch of fully leveled 4* heroes its mostly better to go 2 colors vs tank +3 other colors to be most successfull and worry more about the questions "do i have to take a dispell hero with me" and those things. its pretty rude and childish to simply react like - "yeah as i dont have 5* heroes i cant use that tactics" + its just totally wrong.

21:33 mistake : Under the two purple stones, switch red with green. This will move the lowest purple one up, and on the next move you hit with the three purples. What you did was wrong and you just had luck that necessary stones came to the board :)
Not being critical just asking....at 14:24 you're one move away from a blue diamond. There are two greens top left, the third green could be moved up so that you would have 2 blue top, one recessed blue and 2 more blues towards center....did you not see that or did you see it but decided that would have messed up your board? Tips I've learned: If you have Misandra on your team with her special leveled up as well as other heroes (let's say Magni and Percy), I have Percy and Magni go off first so that I can gain mana from Misandra's special going off. From my understanding the colors of the heroes effect tile damage (which lowers life of opponent's hero faster) but the special the hero goes off with doesn't increase the amount of damage because of the color. In other words, Evelyn's tile damage will do more damage to an opponent's blue hero but Evelyn's "Shattering Warcry" will NOT do more damage to a blue opponent hero vs a red opponent hero.Last, you do mention troublesome opponent heroes....after tank going down, I like to focus on the necromancer side of the board. It really stinks to kill Guin then have Mother North/Alby go off to bring her back to life.

Everytime I try to stack colors, the board never gives me those tiles. The developers have obviously nerfed the game so that the more heroes of the same color you use, the less tiles of that color you'll get. Pretty frustrating when you now have an absurdly over powered tank like Telluria on almost every team in raids now....
Great vid, I'm a noob that doesn't pay to play but have been lucky enough to get some 5* heros. I imagine that i could use a 5* tank like zimkitha with 4 other 4* heros and do well in the 4* realm against other 4* based teams... worth giving it a try. Thanks for sharing.
At 21:11: In the last row, matching Column 4 with Column 3 (blue with purple) puts a purple in Column 4, Column 5 and Column 7, allowing for 2 purple tiles to hit Magni on the next match.

please do more of those short bits videos...even for hero grading etc. It's always rough for me to skim through a 2hr long video...especially if I am on a bus and commuting to/from work. That eats a lot of data just trying to skim through the parts I'm interested in. Just wanted to bring that to your attention when it comes to how ppl consume your content :)

@@AnchorGamed I will keep an eye on the timestamp as well. Another reason for the shorter version (when you can) is that they are easier to share. I dropped your vid in a heartbeat in my clan chat and they already commented back on the tips. I dont think I would have gotten the same success with a 2hr vid...anyway you get my point and you already said you gonna try to do more :) looking forward to more content.
Thanks for the video. I think the only thing I would add that you really didn't point out is that when a hero is Mana stalled those are good ones to hit when clearing out non useful tiles
The trick with a team of heroes in the same color doesn't always work in raid battles. The cpu makes it's own choices with the color tiles, it leaves more tiles for missing heroes heroes and less for the available heroes. The cpu always cheat by holding back on colors preventing your team from being fully charged to retaliate and leaves you completely screwed against your strategy.

There’s a lot I don’t understand in this video... one example is color matching? Why should it matter? There’s a lot of jargon you assume players are familiar with, some of which can be figured out (example: « the tank »). Can you recommend a more fundamental video for newbies? I am playing as « MerGlass » in « New Templar Order ».
thank you for your time and effort. If I may, I want to point out that at 21:32 you actually had a better option. Send the greens down on your left which would set up you purples for the final blow. Off course you are playing and talking and explaining all in the same time and I am just watching but you know, it is probably my only opportunity to "correct" you. hahahha.
Tip in a Tip : 10:48 if you are at 1 turn for their buff to stop ( which is not i know) you could trow 1 row in the middle without them to get their mana full.
You could simplify by explaining why you use the synergy you do as not all players know the heroes strengths by name alone! I.e why you use so and so hero against gravemaker..i.e he defenses down so combat that with a status ailment hero etc...would make it easier to understand!
good stuff, still helpful after all thee years! one thing: 19:56 wouldn't moving the yellow tile in the second column from the right up thus triggering the match AND the dragon be a better move? Casting 6 troops/getting rid of 6 tiles instead of just 5 and doing a bit of extra damage to the opposing heroes?

If there is green, cast red, if there is red, cast blue, if there is blue, cast green, if there is yellow, cast purple, and if there is purple, cast yellow to deal more damage.

By my count, you missed 3 superior moves. Starting with making your first blue gem. I'll review this video with better assessment, however, your basic strategy is sound. The biggest tskeaway was never addressed. The idea of using 5x color might me lost on players. As you stated, taking out a hero with a single 3x match might be the most undervalued aspect here.

On the top left there is 3 green (15 min mark ish) when you are talking about making a diamond etc. If you made a match with the 3 at the left it would've opened up the blue for a diamond on the next turn. Why didn't you? Is it a specific reason or an oversight?

I need to know how to pick an alliance. I get a lot of requests to join an alliance but don't want to get a junkie one. Lol I'm mainly been leveling up my team. Been playing about 3 months so fairly new. Do you have a video about alliances?
The whole point of all this is to figure out how to use tactics to win...no matter what you happen to have. It is about execution of your strengths and protecting your weaknesses. What are we watching this for if not that. Not whining about what we don't have, but rather learning to better work with what we DO have. Dang people, grow up. It's a game.
I've just tried this on 3 different RAIDS an closed all three. I would like to know why raids never really work for me? Any answers I would love to hear them.
20:20 considering this is a year-old vid, I can bet that you're better at the multi-kill. That said, you needn't have troubled yourself. You could've Tib first, killed GM then with that decreased def, slashed Magni with GP and won.
Ill probably make a defense team video as well soon. I wouldnt worry about protecting your cups too much, they dont stay long no matter how good your defense is.

Right now I have TC 11 going while working on TC 13, using my third TC to train the specific hero nature I'm upgrading... Don't have Fourth TC yet but my plan is to use that to train legendary < those that I don't like or need, feed to my HoTs/ event heroes . Too much work? A video of your strategy in this would be great
Stack colors, game doesn't give you tiles to match. Nice to know your got it so good. To bad game cheats to beat you. I've seen damage reduction on both sides. I've seen defensive characters health go up with out a buff. How about a video for how to compensate for the game cheating...

While this is true by making the blue diamond he would have charged Sartana without having any real benefit for his purple heroes.
Tip 3 Assess Troublesome Enemy Heroes, and not charging them for a diamond of an n-color.

Everytime I try to stack colors, the board never gives me those tiles. The developers have obviously nerfed the game so that the more heroes of the same color you use, the less tiles of that color you'll get. Pretty frustrating when you now have an absurdly over powered tank like Telluria on almost every team in raids now....
Yea, that five purple battle at 5:38 would have been won by a 2900 team with the tiles he got.
Great vid, I'm a noob that doesn't pay to play but have been lucky enough to get some 5* heros. I imagine that i could use a 5* tank like zimkitha with 4 other 4* heros and do well in the 4* realm against other 4* based teams... worth giving it a try. Thanks for sharing.

In the last row, matching Column 4 with Column 3 (blue with purple) puts a purple in Column 4, Column 5 and Column 7, allowing for 2 purple tiles to hit Magni on the next match.
And after he failed there he could have done the horizontal green match which would have brought the purple up...

please do more of those short bits videos...even for hero grading etc. It's always rough for me to skim through a 2hr long video...especially if I am on a bus and commuting to/from work. That eats a lot of data just trying to skim through the parts I'm interested in. Just wanted to bring that to your attention when it comes to how ppl consume your content :)
Thanks for the feedback. It is my hope to do more, they take a bit more time. But i would still recommend checking out my live stream replays as just about every single one of them is timestamped and you can skip to different parts. EIther way i will try to make more!
@@AnchorGamed I will keep an eye on the timestamp as well. Another reason for the shorter version (when you can) is that they are easier to share. I dropped your vid in a heartbeat in my clan chat and they already commented back on the tips. I dont think I would have gotten the same success with a 2hr vid...anyway you get my point and you already said you gonna try to do more :) looking forward to more content.

Thanks for the video. I think the only thing I would add that you really didn't point out is that when a hero is Mana stalled those are good ones to hit when clearing out non useful tiles

The trick with a team of heroes in the same color doesn't always work in raid battles. The cpu makes it's own choices with the color tiles, it leaves more tiles for missing heroes heroes and less for the available heroes. The cpu always cheat by holding back on colors preventing your team from being fully charged to retaliate and leaves you completely screwed against your strategy.

22:45, you could’ve taken luck out by moving the blue at the bottom to the left and having three purple tiles at the bottom, two hitting Magni flush. Looking forward to a more detailed discussion on Tip#5!

There’s a lot I don’t understand in this video... one example is color matching? Why should it matter? There’s a lot of jargon you assume players are familiar with, some of which can be figured out (example: « the tank »). Can you recommend a more fundamental video for newbies? I am playing as « MerGlass » in « New Templar Order ».

Off course you are playing and talking and explaining all in the same time and I am just watching but you know, it is probably my only opportunity to "correct" you. hahahha.

all colpurs is best if you have this type of team:Misandria/hell ,Finley/Athena ,Thor ,telluria/kadilen costume , Reubon/gravemaker.

That first board was ridiculous. Two moves into a purple diamond when playing mono purple. I never have that luck.
Tip in a Tip : 10:48 if you are at 1 turn for their buff to stop ( which is not i know) you could trow 1 row in the middle without them to get their mana full.
I wouldn't advise going mono because sometimes you don't even get the color you need join the Italian mafia if you really want to learn
You missed on 21.26. You should moved the blue to the left . To get 3 purple to finish the match.

You could simplify by explaining why you use the synergy you do as not all players know the heroes strengths by name alone! I.e why you use so and so hero against gravemaker..i.e he defenses down so combat that with a status ailment hero etc...would make it easier to understand!
If you've got the tiles lined up to kill guin make that red move first gets rid of em and only charges someone who's good as dead

one thing: 19:56 wouldn't moving the yellow tile in the second column from the right up thus triggering the match AND the dragon be a better move? Casting 6 troops/getting rid of 6 tiles instead of just 5 and doing a bit of extra damage to the opposing heroes?

a lot of that comes with time. But if you have plenty of 5 stars to level up, i would run 3 camps at 11 and one at 2.

If there is green, cast red, if there is red, cast blue, if there is blue, cast green, if there is yellow, cast purple, and if there is purple, cast yellow to deal more damage.

at 15:10 why not use complete top left green to set up blue diamond move to clear tiles
By my count, you missed 3 superior moves. Starting with making your first blue gem. I'll review this video with better assessment, however, your basic strategy is sound.
The biggest tskeaway was never addressed. The idea of using 5x color might me lost on players. As you stated, taking out a hero with a single 3x match might be the most undervalued aspect here.

On the top left there is 3 green (15 min mark ish) when you are talking about making a diamond etc. If you made a match with the 3 at the left it would've opened up the blue for a diamond on the next turn. Why didn't you? Is it a specific reason or an oversight?

The whole point of all this is to figure out how to use tactics to win...no matter what you happen to have. It is about execution of your strengths and protecting your weaknesses. What are we watching this for if not that. Not whining about what we don't have, but rather learning to better work with what we DO have. Dang people, grow up. It's a game.
I've just tried this on 3 different RAIDS an closed all three. I would like to know why raids never really work for me? Any answers I would love to hear them.

20:20 considering this is a year-old vid, I can bet that you're better at the multi-kill. That said, you needn't have troubled yourself. You could've Tib first, killed GM then with that decreased def, slashed Magni with GP and won.

Ill probably make a defense team video as well soon. I wouldnt worry about protecting your cups too much, they dont stay long no matter how good your defense is.
@@AnchorGamed can you please consider making a video on your hoarding and hero upgrade strategy? Right now I have TC 11 going while working on TC 13, using my third TC to train the specific hero nature I'm upgrading... Don't have Fourth TC yet but my plan is to use that to train legendary < those that I don't like or need, feed to my HoTs/ event heroes . Too much work? A video of your strategy in this would be great
Stack colors, game doesn't give you tiles to match. Nice to know your got it so good. To bad game cheats to beat you. I've seen damage reduction on both sides. I've seen defensive characters health go up with out a buff. How about a video for how to compensate for the game cheating...
