bro sorry u had to go thru that, I'm a former recruit what I discovered is that deficiency in some key nutrients due to the rigors of the training can affect ur mental health significantly. I was discharged from training in 2016, till this day I'm still trying to recover health wise.

Joining the JDF was one of the best decision I ever made, second best I went into nursing. Still serving just in a different capacity. Still thankful to JDF.

Thanks for your account. This is a big problem in jamaica we as the workers turn on eachother not seeing the bigger picture. Who we work for is getting rich while the watch dogs turn on each other instead of building each other. Big up uself still.

I regret never going to college instead of joining the JDF. Great organization, great experience, great lessons. Fucked up personnel. The hierarchy system.... Bare boy treatment...Smh. Nah go bias still, there are a selected few who doesn't allow rank to get to them head.... The others are a set of vultures.... Trod carefully current members and potential/prospective members.
That's why I try to tell these young youth to get something out a school now

I remember leaving my weapon as a recruit and just come down, and is pay I have to pay for it to return to me. When the older soldier ask me. Where is my weapon. All inna mi pocket mi a look fah toh rahtid. 🤣😳🤔

First thing you do wrong is to leave you weapon unattended and if you know what you was thought in training is that your weapon mustn't be more than a arms length away from you.
Dude I couldn't carry the weapon with me I didn't have a locker to put it in either plus everyone did gone.....I didn't know that inspection keep on every Friday plus the armory store wasn't open in the early morning and I was reporting sick so my plan was that I would do what me a do and come back to return it but that didn't work so understand I didn't tell the full story in the video if yuu work a 1 jr yuu know how it set up

Respect, joined the jdf back in 2001 after that they stop using the slr and cut down the training from 6 months to 3 it rough but things do happen for reasons if anyone don't make it in or quit it for a reason may not know the answer right away but later on you will

I'm wondering why so many privates leave the JDF and join the police force. Most new police batch always have a few ex soldiers.
Maybe it's for the freedom of going home whenever and the powers the police have 🤷♂️. In police force they basically live an adult life with freedom. JDF them boy you up and one heep a barracks living, getting locked up, inspections and muster parades.

How many suit of clothes and boots does a soldier have. Please outline the different types of attire and how many of each a soldier normally has
3 DCU and 1 combat boot and 3 tactical vest......tactical vest are mostly worn when you a going on patrol
You should have documented all the incidences, time and date. Then make your reports, then document when you submitted those reports, keep a copy and the name of the officer who you reported it to.
