As-Salaam-Alaikum. Thanks for uploading this wonderful and historical classic. This was the first video of The Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan that I ever saw in full. I did not realize at the time, it was going to be my introduction to an entirely new civilization, way of thinking, eating and living. I was struck not only by the unique and multi-racial grassroots of people brought together, but also the choice of having the women of The Vanguard predominantly around him during the speech. The uniqueness of having women in such a role was not lost on me, and it gave me a clear distinction between what we see as the normal order of the day, unfortunately, in many parts of The East. This video, in its imagery marked a distinction in my mind, when I came to Islam, as a warning not to copy and emulate or try to imitate people from The East. Not that our brethren from The East and those who copy their perspective, do not have aspects of beauty and refinement, indeed they do. But what I saw was a warning against copying that Eastern mindset and practice, because all you can get is what we currently see happening in the way of disorder, disunity and upheaval-copying that example just produces the same realities right here. Truly, this video is a great representation of the ultimate reality foreseen 1400 years ago by The Prophet Muhammad(PBUH), that a mere 3 generations after him, would no longer be of him, that deviation, dividing up into sects and parties ("I'm Sunni, no, I'm Shia, etc.") each one glorifying in its own deviation as "the way" (Surah 30:32). But The Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) also said he saw Islam, in the latter days, as a time "When The Sun Will Rise From The West..." We are witnesses...of The Good News...

I was there on the stage. It was a gift to me from The Minister. My family owned a graphics and printing company. The brothers from the NOI that knew me came to me for graphics and printing services for this great event. It was gift for my Born Day is the same as The Honorable Elijah Muhammad. I was up late many nights working on the journal, posters, flyers and any other printing services that were needed. It was a very inspirational event. Peace
