- This week we made a Merry Christmas front porch welcome sign! I'm guessing you love the holiday's as much as we do! And one of the best parts is the holiday decorating! And even better is DIY holiday decor! We started our holiday DIY's with this snowy reverse stencil Merry Christmas sign! I am making a few of these leaning signs. they are out of pine. what is the best sealer to put on them to go outside.
We just spray ours with Polyacrylic spray.

Hello, do you all put any sealer on after?
Yes! We spray them with Polyacrylic spray, we will use the liquid kind and apply with a brush if it's going to be exposed to the elements. Ours is under a concered porch so they dont really get very wet.
Would you consider making the Merry Christmas vinyl and selling it? I really want to make this sign but I dont have a vinyl cutter. If you would consider it...how much would you charge. I just love this style...so different from anything I've seen. Please..please...thank you.

What kind of paint to use for a basic color like brown or white? You guys are awesome!
We almost always use chalk paint and we use the Waverly colors a lot.

How long did you let the paint dry for the red and the dry brush before taking off lettering?
We let the red dry completely, we often use a heat gun to get it try. Dry brushes the letters and removed immediately.

What’s the font and size you use for the letters
This was a bought file so we're not sure!
Been looking for the decals. Hard to find. Looked at the cricket cutter. After cricket price point. Lay out. What’s the cost per sign for decal ?
If we were going to make these in volume, I'd do it a lot differently. I'd use stencil vinyl and spray paint. I think the Cricut is a sunk cost, not part of pricing.

Hello Kim and Garrett hope y'all are doing well. Love how the Christmas sign turned out the dry brush technique makes the letters pop. So true about the flu just getting over it was homebound for 2 1/2 weeks . Love watching y'all are a adorable couple always get a good laugh with y'all's videos.
