you left out RDJ's snacking obsession, apparently he got hungry on set and was always hiding the snacks around set, and the director got so sick of having to search the set every time looking for the snacks, they decided to make it part of his character, the scene where he was working with mark ruffelo, and offered both him and cap blueberries wasn't actually scripted, RDJ was just hungry and decided to share, and the other two just acted along in character.
Kris Upton eh i can understand replace one habit with a healthier one since he was an addict before he did iron man thank god he reformed the mans a legend most people after that and succeed end up turning to some obsession rdj just liked to eat to the idea of doing drugs out of his mind at least thats how i take it based on my own interpretations from media it also makes sense for tony stark to eat alot of snacks he need to stay healthy for being a hero and he doesnt get many chances to get a proper meal throughout day concidering his day jobs he also probably want to have an easier time ignoring all the really annoying crap hes been through concidering the event of iron man one and two plus everything he did as "a merchant of death"(quoted from a random reporter tony banged in iron man)
This is what I love about Kevin Feige's vision and ideologies, he lets the actors express themselves, and there are a considerable number of moments in the MCU that were unscripted, such as Chris H hanging Mjolnir on a coat hook, and saying "he's a friend from work", RDJ had several including this, suggesting they get shawarma and "please be a secret door" in Avengers AOU, Dave Bautista's "why is Gamora", Tom Holland's final moments before he gets dusted in IW, and it just adds so much to the appeal of the whole universe.
It's not just you. "It seems to run on some form of electricity." Is still my favorite single line in the MCU. Because it's about how I feel when I look at the inside of electronics.
We forgot the best win of this movie, the best quote in the entire MCU: "I recognize that the council has made a decision, but given it's a stupid-ass decision, I've elected to ignore it."
You should've explained the hulk transformation in the final battle!! Okay, I'll do it for you. See, everyone is upset because, well, as they put it, "how did Bruce conveniently learn to control his anger? why is the hulk fighting with the avengers instead of just smashing them all?" The answer: Because Banner LET Hulk out, instead of Hulk fighting his way out. That the AWESOME thing about the Hulk, the Hulk is both a physical transformation and a mental one. While science turns Bruce's body into hulk when he's angry because of, well, science, the Hulk's MIND is simply a part of Bruce's subconscious. That's what I loved about Ang Lee's hulk; it really explained Bruces deep psychological trauma, and give him a reason for loosing control. And this final fight scene transformation is so epic because Bruce's mind isn't divided. He knows what he came to do. He knows he's going to let out his anger. He's taking the advice that Tony gave him and embracing the monster. And the effect? Hulk's mind is then in turn completely focused on the task that Bruce had in mind when he let him out. So in essence, they Bruce and Hulk weren't fighting against each other (like on the helecarrier). They were working together.
Wow. In one comment you managed to explain the Hulk better than any movie I've seen- and made the Endgame Hulk seem even more goofy and dumb than he already was.
Well I think the explanation is a lot simpler in The Incredible Hulk. He can aim it. You can think about it as a grenade, if it blows up in your hand it'll explode everything around you. But if you throw it at something, it'll blow up that but it will also do a lot of outside damage because he isn't a bullet, he's a "time bomb" if you will
I like how when Loki first appears you can tell some shit went down. Dudes been tortured. He's gaunt, haunted looking, and deep circles under his eyes(especially on his close up at 51 secs) He doesn't take hawkeye just because he wants to hurt the good guys. At that point he needs someone he can trust to protect and stabilize him until he's recovered more from the effects.
Indeed. I thought it was strange he almost seemed to cry when talking to Fury. But he was a broken man out to get revenge on Thor by destroying his planet.
I always get annoyed when people pick on characters like Black Widow and Hawkeye who don't have "real" powers. I mean c'mon. If anything it makes them more badass, they have more to risk than characters who can't die and they are still right there with them fighting! If that's not heroic I don't know what is.
One of my favourite details in this movie is actually Black Widow's acting, and by extension Scarlet Johannsons'. If you compare and contrast how she acts around every other Avenger, she's completely comfortable, because she knows if she can't beat them in a fight, she could most likely trick or even seduce them. But prior to the final showdown, she is always just a little uneasy around Banner, because he's the one exception. She has no defense against the Hulk. If you watch the scene when she tricks Loki into revealing his plan, that's Natasha acting scared, pretending to be the damsel in distress to play her supposed weakness into a strength. When Bruce slams his hands on the table, she is genuinely terrified of him.
Ignoring the comics and just going by what is in the movies, Black Widow is pretty much as adept as Captain America (not as strong, but more agile) without having a super soldier serum. Just pure training.
And it adds a bit more we as humans could be like that were JLA is more alien like for having most of its crew from either being born with the powers, altered for being a alien from a doomed planet which was going to exploded being sent to a planet were he/she can live and to also reproduce, a god/goddess(i know that the avengers have thor but Marvel gave him weakness)who all most unkillable, people who got their powers of unreal likness(yes the avengers have the hulk and spidey who not a full time member and probably even more.
@@patteyh I deleted my earlier comment to make a new one. I still don't like this line, I think it cheapens Loki's story. However, when I made my earlier comment I was sleep deprived and stressed due to school. As someone who is adopted this line does offend me, but I can't speak for anyone else. I also struggle with self-confidence, and things like that line don't really help as I get older and start to realize how horrible the world can be especialy when it comes to toxic friends. I'm sorry you didn't like my comment. I tend not to have the best filter when I'm tired.
"And not all the characters as useful as the next but,..," *cuts to Hawkeye* I'm sorry but????? He didn't even need to look to see that alien ship coming ??? And he still hit a bullseye????? Like c'mon he could work out that the tesseract opened up from both ways when the scientist couldn't ????? Clint Barton deserves more recognition!
Iron man is iconic and a billionaire , Cap is a supersoldier, Thor is a god, Nat is a badass female fighter and Bruce is, well the hulk. People forget about Clint because he doesnt have superpowers but he's obviously really skilled with his bow (like that amazing shot where he blows up the alien with his bow without looking) and people forget he is Natasha's closest friend. Justice for Clint!
@@veomf6259 Nat doesn't even have a signature weapon (unless you count all weapons as signature weapons for her, she could probably use them all to their highest potential), I guess she does have hacking skills and CQC, but it's not like she has super-powers either. Hawkeye is kind of a jack-of-all-trades, master of none but his bow, I'm sure he can fight better than Tony outside his suit, and he's a pretty smart guy too, even if he's the "weakest" in the group, he's still part of a group of incredibly powerful people, he's not your average guy!
To be honest I feel like the old German guy standing up to the monologue-sputing, egomaniac would-be ruler of the world deserves way more than one win. "There are always men like you." A little on the nose, sure, but goddamn that's a good one.
doesn't matter if he was a holocausst survivor or just a random dude, remember Dr. Erskines words in Captain America: The first Avenger: "So many people forget that the first country the Nazis invaded was their own" This guy probably remembers
I’m thinking they were closing up. Then the Avengers rolled up after the Battle and were like, “You still open?” Then the shop owners gave them free shawarma for life cards, for their merits.
I love that line, even if my brain constantly remembers it wrong. Doth mother knowth thou wearest her drapes? Seriously, Brain, no how many times you say it that’s still not the line.
@@EverLearningDragon Ditto. i always think that. Just watched it w/ captions & it IS : "Shakespeare in the Park?(😂😂) Doth mother *know you* wear-eath* her drapes?". 😂✌💗💞
So they had to face a never-ending wave of aliens coming down from the skies. Basically, the Avengers were playing Galaga. They thought we wouldn't notice, but we did.
They still got their smarts to them, they still got their skills, knowledge, memories, ambitions, and every other piece of personality that makes them, well, THEM. But the perspective is skewed just enough that they're putting it all to Loki's benefit. It's insidious, it's scary, and it's perfectly in line with what a god of michief, treachery, and deceit would do, as opposed to just overpowering somebody's mind.

He forgot to add that almost every single cut to the next scene (besides montages) are hinted at by the prior scene. For example, when Cap mentions that SHEILD should have left the Tesseract in the water, we immediately cut to Stark in the water. Interesting thing I thought was also win-worthy.
For me as a German, I really, really, really love the scene with the elderly man ständig up to Loki. It really captures (and in a weird way rewards) the way that we learned from and confronted our history. I just love it
I liked how Stark and Banner's characters actually MIRRORS their actor's past: Banner almost died : Mark had problems with cancer Tony was self-destructive: RDJ's drug abuse
Did you notice that Hulk was the one who grabbed the scepter not Banner. In this entire movie there has been subtle hints to stark being right that the Hulk and Banner are two different beings.
Strange to say, this movie was my introduction to the MCU late to the party at 24. I already sort of knew these characters from Marvel vs Capcom games. I had seen none of the superhero movies before, "superhero movies look dumb". But this one looked badass. So I saw it in the theater. And as a total newcomer, I was hooked. Everything panned out so clearly I wasn't at all lost, the characters were all so compelling, the effects and emotions gripping. This movie made me watch the others, and made me love this setting and characters even more and makes rewatching this one even more enjoyable every time. Thank you Marvel, and thank you CW for getting me hype to watch these again.
Same! But to me, I started with Endgame. I saw it after about a year from its release, I guess? Hah, take that! 😂😂 I've seen some of the Iron Man movies before as well as Doctor Strange but it didn't really suck me in to the Marvel universe. After watching Endgame, I binge watched all the movies as well as some of the series. I'm still amazed and fascinated about the amount of detail in all of the movies (and series) and how each movie or series can stand alone from the other.
It was my introduction too up to that point I was only interested into the X-Men- franchise but even those movies I had seen only on TV. (The only superhero movie I saw in theater was the first Spider Men because we watched that in english class and I didn't like it.) But the trailer cought my interest but even afterward I didn't see all the new movies in theater. That started later (maybe with Black Panther).
The Avengers was my first "superhero" movie. I was about 9 years old when it came out, and even though I understood almost nothing that was going on because I didn't know anything about the MCU yet, I still loved it. It got me hooked. Now I'm going into my second year of high school, and I have had a blast with movies like Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Spider Man: Homecoming, and Wonder Woman (yes I know she's a DC hero but I still loved that movie) this summer. I still absolutely love these types of movies, and I think I will for the rest of my life. I'm very hyped for Infinity War next year!
Fantastic Beck so you were 9 in 2012 when avengers first came out. So now you should be around 14 years old and you are on your second year of high school???
Please excuse my Hawkeye favouritism over Black Widow but i'd give him a bunch of wins too. For example: Hawkeye took orders to keep a "close" eye on things, meaning he's been the one actually watching and guarding over the cube. And as boring as this is Hawkeye nevertheless did it and was meticulous about it. Clearly he's had time to think about the perspective of the situation. 2- Hawkeye basicly would've destroyed the helicarrier using two freaking arrows! 3- Hawkeye actually fires a speeding flying object from a long distance without even looking directly at it (Though he was propably looking at the reflection on a window, but still i have tried archery before and it is NOT easy) #Hawkeyeisawesomedealwithit
Jackctb Also, friendly reminder that Hawkeye doesn't just use one arrow for each alien, he kills a bunch of them with one arrow. Why does everyone think that THE GREATEST MARKSMAN IN THE WORLD isn't worthy of being an avenger?
Dude, your commentary on why watching the previous movies made the avengers a much more complete experience resonated so much now that I've just seen endgame. Thanks so much much for all the positivity that you pour into your videos and your whole channel
Upon rewatching the movie recently, I found a great little detail about Banner's "That's my secret. I'm always angry." line. Throughout the movie, he's been asked at least twice by two people about his secret, a question which he dodges around. That's some solid build-up that I never noticed prior.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate that this passing mention of "low levels of gamma radiation" coming from the Tesseract could've been epic foreshadowing for Professor Hulk undoing the Thanos Snap nearly a decade before Endgame even happened?
I said it before (in a message to you) and I'll say it again: I LOVE this channel. I LOVED/LOVE CinemaSins, but this channel is SO much more epic. It appeals to the "that was awesome!" side to everyone. I mean, yeah, anyone can find plotholes, but you....you seriously put time and effort and explanation into your reasoning and it always makes sense. It's not just a sin or blight on a film or a petty reason or because you didn't understand something or because you might have missed something, which is SOMETIMES how I feel about half of CinemaSins videos. CinemaSins is funny and mostly okay, but lately I haven't been agreeing with them too much. It just feels like shallow nitpicking at times. Like "any small reason to give a sin...because, haha, funny". Just trying to hard, it seems. But your vids..they're really great. I also ESPECIALLY love how at the end of everyone, you go even further and sum up everything as a whole and give your general thoughts, giving good reasons as to why you thought about it how you did. To me, this makes your case MUCH stronger for the reasons behind what you do. And lastly...well, you're right. Winning and positive and awesome IS better than the negative over all. In invokes feelings of positiveness in people overall, and so your channel, I feel, does a bit more at making a person feeling good. I'm glad you started this channel. You're very good at it too, so that helps. I hope you keep on doing vids and also, get a patreon page or something, so people can donate! I'd throw ya fifty or sixty dollars right away if I could!
Da_ShadowWarrior Lulz what? Arrow is DC........ and no, the Sorcerer Supreme is based entirely off of black magic, delving heavily into the mystical arts as a practicing magician. He was described in the 70's as "the mightiest magician in the cosmos", so magic is indeed ingrained in Marvel.

I was eleven years old when the original Star Wars was released. Words can't describe what it was like to watch that movie at that time. Nothing like it had ever existed. I saw it with a friend, and when it was over, I remember going to his house, and trying to explain this movie to his brother. It was impossible to convey to him what we had just experienced. When the Avengers was released, I was 47. Within minutes of the movie's start, I was that 11 year old kid again. Iron Man, Thor and Captain America were all great movies that I really enjoyed, but this one took things to a new level. I used to say that no one could understand being a kid in 1977, and the excitement of Star Wars, seeing it as it first came out. The game changing aspect of it was something that kids from later generations just wouldn't be able to understand. You had to be there and experience that moment of knowing you were watching something brand new. The Avengers is that movie for the younger generation.
I never noticed all the subtle effects the staff has on the Avengers when they first brought it on board. Seeing such small gestures like each of them having headaches and the out of body like camera work while they have conflict can go really unnoticed but makes it all feel so much more real.
Iron Man's entrance when he knocks Loki on his ass to help Captain America is one of the best Superhero entrances EVER, I will fight ANYONE who disagrees.
Cap is the surrogate for people who haven't been keeping up with the MCU. Lots of things have to be explained to him, which we see. Thus, they are explained to the audience in a way which works the explanations into the story. Iron Man is the surrogate for people who have been keeping up with the MCU. Keep in mind that the Iron Man movies were already 4 years old when the Avengers came out (in 2012, while Iron Man is from 2008.) There are a lot of plot elements around Iron Man which require one to have seen his movies to understand them, such as the Arc Reactor, the comment about him being "unstable", and who Potts is in relation to him.
I still remember when I was just 12 years old watching this in theaters (on opening weekend because I got really lucky) with my dad and sisters. This is one of the greatest memories I have. I was a little boy watching the heroes he loved and looked up to in the format he always wanted to see them in. It was a literal dream come true. When that iconic rotating shot came on and I saw that for the first time, I still remember as clear as if I'm still there what it looked like, sounded like, felt like, smelled like and not the taste because I was too busy crying some of the happiest teares of my life to even eat the popcorn in front of me. It meant *everything* to me, especially with my dad right there next to me as the person who raised me to love comicbooks and superheroes. I still cry that same tear I remember crying when that shot comes and the music swells. It's a huge chunk of the reason I love soundtracks now as much as I do. I'm even crying those tears remembering it as I write this comment. I wanted to watch that movie with my family every single day when we managed to get it on DVD and for a good week we actually did (until the rest of my family got tired of doing it over and over again of course, but I never will). I will always consider this to be the perfect masterpiece that I will forever be indebted to Joss Whedon and Kevin Feige for. I don't care if it seems like I'm overreacting, I'm just so glad that you covered this movie. I love your channel and I can't thank you enough for covering my favourite movie. Thank you so much and I love everything you do. Excelsior. :)
Well, they haven't established him yet, so for the time being.. still basically science. And as Asimov said, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
I have great expectations about Dr Strange. If guardians of the galaxy introduced a new level of sci fi to the mcu and antman proved every character is great in his own way, I believe magic can be a powerful addition. I love fantasy and magic more than sci fi.
I was really hype for Dr Strange, as he's one of my favorite Marvel heroes, but outside of the comics he is very under-appreciated. Sadly they did a terrible job with some of the casting (namely why the heck did they give Butterscotch Cabbagepatch the lead role, he's super over-used and doesnt really fit Strange's face or character), so that's going to take a significant amount of my enjoyment of it away, but the trailers make it look like the action and magic will be pretty great.
The prequels definitely. 50 Shades of Grey hadn't occurred to me, but that would be a tough one. Feels strange to be a male defending a film about a male psycho control freak that sort of abuses a woman. But eh, feeling strange never stopped me before.
I love both this channel and CinemaSins for both their honesty and awesome opinions about the movies. Is that weird? Do I get a Win or a Sin for this some-what contradictory comment? Or both? Either way, keep up the great work!
Anyone who watches any CinemaSins...watches too much CinemaSins. Anyone who thinks the "it's just a joke" excuse works needs to check out the videos by Shaun about how terrible and dishonest that channel is.
Dude, CinemaSins KNOWS they’re being assholes. Look at their review on themselves. They even say they’re nitpicking assholes. You’re not supposed to be taking them seriously. I don’t think they want you to be taking them seriously. They just want to make some jokes not do an actual review.
5:24 what i really like about this scene is the fact that he questions if hes worthy actually feeds into him being worthy (also same with the similar scene in end game but surprisingly done better in end game one of the few things done better)
Skipped Cap's line "The last time I was in Germany and saw a man standing above everyone else, we ended up disagreeing". A little reference to an iconic Captain America comic from pre-World-War-2 that showed Cap punching Hitler in the face (which was itself referenced in the movie in the USO/Bond Rally production number). The writer and artist got death threats from pro-Nazi Americans over the cover. Here's a quote from the biography of Jack "the King" Kirby about one such threat: "On occasion the Timely office would get phone calls and letters from Nazi sympathizers threatening the creators of Captain America. Once, while Jack was in the Timely office, a call came from someone in the lobby. When Kirby answered, the caller threatened Jack with bodily harm if he showed his face. Kirby told the caller he would be right down, but by the time Jack reached street level, there was no one to be found." Jack Kirby was a skilled boxer and had also been training in Judo in preparation for enlisting as soon as the USA entered WW2, which he did. Stan Sakai, another comics artist, told the following anecdote about Kirby: "We went to a few parties when Fantagraphics was in Agoura. It was at one of those that I first met Jack Kirby and listened to his war stories. I met Jack many times after that, and he always told his war stories. They were different stories, but they always ended with him killing four or more Nazis. Jack *hated* Nazis."
1:26 "What are Black Widow's powers, you ask?" Not getting a movie for a whole decade. And getting a ton of backlash when a movie is finally confirmed to be happening.
The channel its self is supposed to be an opposite to the EWW of cinema sins. And in that place we get EGA on this channel, yes it feels similar but i think that was kind of the point.
5:16 This has to be true and thinking about it after endgame and the whole arc of Thor's depression is awesome. Thor after defeat always had mjolnir to reassure himself that he was still worthy besides after infinity war, his first real loss without it. When he gets the hammer after traveling back in time is when he really gets back up into his old groove because he needed the reassurance he was still worthy, even after his mom comforting him. This small scene was just foreshadowing (or endgame called back depending on how you want to look at it) that entire arc. Awesome character building!
WOW. I never realized during that argument scene that the Scepter was actually affecting them. I always thought that Thor's line was weird and unprovoked, seeing as how he was for saving humanity in his movie.
Fury told Stark about the Avengers Iniative in the post credits in IRON MAN. At that time, Thor had not arrived and Cap had not thawed; they only had a big green uncontrollable monster, a spy and an archer. It seems unlikely that SHIELD had a plan to team those three, doesn't it?
3:47 I was watching this movie with my friend again, after Endgame. And she came up with this: "Remember when Bruce asked ‚saved for what‘? And then his line in Endgame ‚It‘s like I was made for this‘" They were foreshadowing far more in the future, than just Hulk saving Iron Man...
Thor: “Listen well brother. I-“
*is tackled off mountain by iron man*
Loki: *pauses* “I’m listening”
Johnny Zhen nah, it's a great reminder of a hilarious scene.
Nearly every word was pure perfection!
the funniest part of that is knowing that's not Loki mugging for anybody, he's purely telling that joke for himself. I find that very relatable
you left out RDJ's snacking obsession, apparently he got hungry on set and was always hiding the snacks around set, and the director got so sick of having to search the set every time looking for the snacks, they decided to make it part of his character, the scene where he was working with mark ruffelo, and offered both him and cap blueberries wasn't actually scripted, RDJ was just hungry and decided to share, and the other two just acted along in character.
Kris Upton eh i can understand
replace one habit with a healthier one since he was an addict before he did iron man thank god he reformed the mans a legend most people after that and succeed end up turning to some obsession rdj just liked to eat to the idea of doing drugs out of his mind at least thats how i take it based on my own interpretations from media
it also makes sense for tony stark to eat alot of snacks he need to stay healthy for being a hero and he doesnt get many chances to get a proper meal throughout day concidering his day jobs he also probably want to have an easier time ignoring all the really annoying crap hes been through concidering the event of iron man one and two plus everything he did as "a merchant of death"(quoted from a random reporter tony banged in iron man)
_MILETIL_ BLIGHT_ Dude, take yer shit down, have some blueberries.
Green ones.
Holyshit
let's be honest. most of us are now craving blueberries.
That's how my mom feels
my dad, who works as an IT guy, used to say that to his coworkers all the time.
We forgot the best win of this movie, the best quote in the entire MCU:
"I recognize that the council has made a decision, but given it's a stupid-ass decision, I've elected to ignore it."
Wow. In one comment you managed to explain the Hulk better than any movie I've seen- and made the Endgame Hulk seem even more goofy and dumb than he already was.
hulk is a alter persona of bruce created from D.I.D so he's 100% mental
Whoa, this is actually a really great explanation. "Hulk didn't fight his way out, Bruce let him out". Absolutely hit the nail on the head.
Well I think the explanation is a lot simpler in The Incredible Hulk. He can aim it. You can think about it as a grenade, if it blows up in your hand it'll explode everything around you. But if you throw it at something, it'll blow up that but it will also do a lot of outside damage because he isn't a bullet, he's a "time bomb" if you will
I'm not a Marvel/comic nerd by any means, but I thought this was obvious just from watching the movie.
CrystalDragen Man, that first conversation with Thanos musta been brutal!
Indeed. I thought it was strange he almost seemed to cry when talking to Fury. But he was a broken man out to get revenge on Thor by destroying his planet.
He's under the influence of the Mind Stone.
Plus a theory was Thanos brought him back from the dead after he fell into space after Thor
He's been burdened with glorious purpose...
"I have an army"
"We have a Hulk"
Why was that not a Win?
Out of hundreds of awesome things, he picked 95 that particularly tickled him.

@@Glomoro 😂
Haven't I seen you on the Mega Man Maker discord?

Iron man is iconic and a billionaire , Cap is a supersoldier, Thor is a god, Nat is a badass female fighter and Bruce is, well the hulk.

Hah, Strange to say
"We feel like we're being rewarded for having watched all of those films"
End Game: *I am inevitable*
The Avengers was my first "superhero" movie. I was about 9 years old when it came out, and even though I understood almost nothing that was going on because I didn't know anything about the MCU yet, I still loved it. It got me hooked. Now I'm going into my second year of high school, and I have had a blast with movies like Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Spider Man: Homecoming, and Wonder Woman (yes I know she's a DC hero but I still loved that movie) this summer. I still absolutely love these types of movies, and I think I will for the rest of my life. I'm very hyped for Infinity War next year!
You're living in a golden age of action movies, enjoy it!
Same for me. I didn't even understand what's the deal with the "blue cube" but now I know almost everything about MCU :)
Same with me. First movie!
Fantastic Beck so you were 9 in 2012 when avengers first came out. So now you should be around 14 years old and you are on your second year of high school???
Same man
Please excuse my Hawkeye favouritism over Black Widow but i'd give him a bunch of wins too.
3- Hawkeye actually fires a speeding flying object from a long distance without even looking directly at it (Though he was propably looking at the reflection on a window, but still i have tried archery before and it is NOT easy)

Am I the only one who remembers Hawkeye jumping off a building, turning around mid fall, then taking out another alien ship thing? With one arrow!
Forgot one. When Hulk punches Thor, he is actually testing to see if he can even hurt Loki later.
That would actually make sense, it's still hilarious though
No
I don't care if this comment is 2 years old, the Hulk was getting back at Thor for the previous fight they had on the helicarrier.

Excelsior. :)
I love how Hemsworth’s reaction to being told his brother killed a bunch of people is just “ He’s adopted”😂😂😂😂😂
"That man is playing Gallega!"
*Steve looks*
xD He's just like "Wait, what is Gallega?"
You know, I actually never looked at the whole arguing scene like this. Good eye
0:59 love the How I met your mother reference
4:46 should’ve also included tony’s line
"well you’re not wrong.."
Bruce Banner wakes up in a huge pile of rubble and is told that he just smashed through the ceiling. The first thing he asks is if he hurt anyone.
5:34 I have one thing to say: Doctor Strange
Well, they haven't established him yet, so for the time being.. still basically science. And as Asimov said, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
I have great expectations about Dr Strange. If guardians of the galaxy introduced a new level of sci fi to the mcu and antman proved every character is great in his own way, I believe magic can be a powerful addition. I love fantasy and magic more than sci fi.
Thta threw me off, too! I just sat back and was like, "But there is magic in the MCU."
Well, kinda. It's explained that they get their magic by summoning energy from other dimensions, which is kind of sciencey.
This channel is great. I challenge you do to 50 Shades of Grey or any of the SW Prequels.
The prequels definitely. 50 Shades of Grey hadn't occurred to me, but that would be a tough one. Feels strange to be a male defending a film about a male psycho control freak that sort of abuses a woman. But eh, feeling strange never stopped me before.
50 Shades of Grey is so terrible, I can't think of anything redeeming from it.
Set Design maybe?
More like Cool Cat Saves the Day or the Amazing Bulk.
I don't think even the most optimistic people can find anything good in 50 shades. Starwars however that i want to see.
theres only one god mam and he doesnt dress like that best line in the movie
They forgot that one... But it IS the line in the movie.
"There's only one God mam, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that."
That's so true. Really talks about Cap's upbringing and character growth.
There is only one God, ma'am, and that is the God of Death. And what do we say to the God of Death?
"Puny God."
Dan Menard Then, Hulk smash!!!!
“It appears to run on some form of electricity!”
I’m dying.
"Well... you're not wrong"
Did anyone else felt bad for the guy who tried to eject? The poor soul that Hulk grabbed?
Steppen Wolf 2018 Na, he had a parachute. You can see it open after Hulk threw him away, so no worries
@@leofriehe1984 Still would be enough to give you a heart attack; no matter how professional you are.
I love both this channel and CinemaSins for both their honesty and awesome opinions about the movies. Is that weird? Do I get a Win or a Sin for this some-what contradictory comment? Or both? Either way, keep up the great work!
same!
I agree with u they are both awesome
Your not the only one. I love both Too.
Dexter D Lopez cannot make up his mind. *ding*
me2!
I legitimately cannot tell if he's just being scathingly sarcastic, clearly I watch too much CinemaSins
SAMEEEEEE
same most wins I'm like"waaaaiiiitttttt that could also be sin"
...why would anyone think any of these are at all sarcastic?
Anyone who watches any CinemaSins...watches too much CinemaSins. Anyone who thinks the "it's just a joke" excuse works needs to check out the videos by Shaun about how terrible and dishonest that channel is.
Dude, CinemaSins KNOWS they’re being assholes. Look at their review on themselves. They even say they’re nitpicking assholes. You’re not supposed to be taking them seriously. I don’t think they want you to be taking them seriously. They just want to make some jokes not do an actual review.
Loki "I have an army." Tony "We have hulk!" Really thought you would have done that laugh win thing?!
5:24 what i really like about this scene is the fact that he questions if hes worthy actually feeds into him being worthy (also same with the similar scene in end game but surprisingly done better in end game one of the few things done better)
"There was a cellist, I think."
Agents of SHIELD-shadowing! *ding*
Rewatching this film after Endgame adds a really interesting flare to it
It really does! Love you 3000 Tony!
Like how maybe Banner's "other guy" saved him so he could undo what Thanos did? These movies and their continuity I swear
I finished watching the Loki show and it seems that "glorious purpose" is a running theme with Loki as a character.
"Now that's an entrance"
*Green arrow comes*
Now that's what I call an entrance
IRON MAN V GREEN ARROW: DAWN OF ENTRANCES
Skipped Cap's line "The last time I was in Germany and saw a man standing above everyone else, we ended up disagreeing". A little reference to an iconic Captain America comic from pre-World-War-2 that showed Cap punching Hitler in the face (which was itself referenced in the movie in the USO/Bond Rally production number). The writer and artist got death threats from pro-Nazi Americans over the cover. Here's a quote from the biography of Jack "the King" Kirby about one such threat:
"On occasion the Timely office would get phone calls and letters from Nazi sympathizers threatening the creators of Captain America. Once, while Jack was in the Timely office, a call came from someone in the lobby. When Kirby answered, the caller threatened Jack with bodily harm if he showed his face. Kirby told the caller he would be right down, but by the time Jack reached street level, there was no one to be found."
Jack Kirby was a skilled boxer and had also been training in Judo in preparation for enlisting as soon as the USA entered WW2, which he did. Stan Sakai, another comics artist, told the following anecdote about Kirby:
"We went to a few parties when Fantagraphics was in Agoura. It was at one of those that I first met Jack Kirby and listened to his war stories. I met Jack many times after that, and he always told his war stories. They were different stories, but they always ended with him killing four or more Nazis. Jack *hated* Nazis."
1:26 "What are Black Widow's powers, you ask?"
Not getting a movie for a whole decade.
And getting a ton of backlash when a movie is finally confirmed to be happening.
“Saved it for... what?”
Years later: “It’s like... I was made for this.”
7:04 I think that's Ellie's voice actor from The Last of Us
CokeBlue
Oh my god it’s elly
Her name is Ashley Johnson.
I was looking for this comment
"It seems to run on some sort of electricity" - anybody in tech support can relate to hearing something similar
7:07 You gotta love the sound made every time Loki collides with the floor.
7:10 if you listen closely, just after Hulk walks away from throwing Loki to the ground, Loki whimpers
i really love how optimistic this is. it's nice to have optimism with so many negative videos out there haha.
Part of me feels like this is just a rip off of cinema sins - the other part says this is one amazing satire. I subscribed.
The channel its self is supposed to be an opposite to the EWW of cinema sins. And in that place we get EGA on this channel, yes it feels similar but i think that was kind of the point.
Of course it was the point - what I was wrestling with was the efficacy of that duplication.
Ah I'm sorry I didn't see that you were making that point.
This isn't satire. Reading it as such is really cynical, and is against the spirit of the channel.
the name^^
The part where he says "Loki's plan is actually pretty straightforward" should be proof enough that Loki threw to escape servitude to Thanos.
Who’s here watching this after watching Endgame?
🙋♀️
Meeeeee!
Here just after watching WANDAVISION
WOW. I never realized during that argument scene that the Scepter was actually affecting them. I always thought that Thor's line was weird and unprovoked, seeing as how he was for saving humanity in his movie.
Cap: "I understood that reference..."
Me too, Cap... Me too...
Oh yeah and maybe Ant-Man and The Wasp.
moonled and Captain Marvel.
There's also Jessica Jones, they might have already known about her.
Cinemawins: We get an Iron Man vs Thor fight and no one gets hurt.
The Trees: Are we a joke to you?
3:47 I was watching this movie with my friend again, after Endgame. And she came up with this: "Remember when Bruce asked ‚saved for what‘? And then his line in Endgame ‚It‘s like I was made for this‘" They were foreshadowing far more in the future, than just Hulk saving Iron Man...
Hawkeye is my all-time favorite avenger. He totally deserves a stand-alone movie.
So does Black Widow, more than anybody!
I agree! Also check out the hawkeye meme 'alien invasion you say? I better bring at least 20 arrows!'
Ya know The Russo Brothers said that there is a black widow stand-alone in production
DAMMIT WHY NOT HAWKEYE!?
since deadpool got made they should make a collaborative movie and remake the deadpool vs Hawkeye comic into a movie
I’m here after the emotional rollercoaster that is Avengers: Endgame. Who else?
This should get a re-win for all the lore we know now
"how well planned out the MCU has been"
Phrases that have sadly aged like milk
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that he added in a win each time hulk hit loki, I appreciate that
1:47 Man outta time? But Deadpool told me that was Cable. Also nothing about Cap and Fury's bet?
Did you not win the shwarma scene cause it's end credit?
"No magic in the MCU" couple years later
6:58
Hulk: *punches Thor's head with enough force to destroy a city*
CinemaWins: Friendship 😁
"Robin Sparkles to the rescue!"
