The reason that happens is because in chinese media they change the names of everything to make it sound more chinese. The excuse is that they are afapting the culture but it's basically "because racism". For example, they would take Kushina's name and make it Kuo Shi-Nao or something similar. Because there's an easy translation when translating the fanfiction to English the original name comes back, in this case, U-chi-hua becomes Uchiha again but there's nothing to translate the fictional MCs name into so it becomes Uchiha Ye Yuan. Yes it's stupid I agree, but there's really no solution to it.
