I’m rebuilding my 71 Mopar Satellite Sebring Plus, my first car I bought when I was 14 years old in 79. Although it was only 8 years old at the time it looked and ran like it was fifty. Now to make a very long story short, me and my dad blew it apart and rebuilt and painted it and I had one of the coolest cars in town. Twenty years go by, dad passed, I got married, put a kid through collage, and all though a lot of guys begged me to sell them my Mopar I didn’t. Now I’m doing it for my daughter, a bunch of metal, frame, floor pans and a everything else between the bumpers I’m finishing it up. Now to the video of today, I looked at those Holly lights you just put in, my only complaint was the cost, I too have the four light set, and it’s at the end of the build so I’m way in over my head, lol. So I bought a Amazon, Chineseum set up that’s about a third of the price. We all know you get what you pay for, so I like most guys will do it twice to pay more money, lol. So anyway, I know I’ll probably be doing all four headlights over again once I’m done with the sticker shock and I’ll get those Holly Led’s. Isn’t that the definition of crazy, doing the same thing over and expecting a different outcome? Thanks for your videos, give Duff a goodie for me and have a sandwich.
Boy that did make a big difference yes in Virginia in the mid seventies I worked at a service station and that was part of the state inspection as adjusting the headlights or checking them anyway
Great video. I just ordered a set for my 1974 Galaxie 500, and I can’t wait to put them in. I replaced the original bulbs with Sylvania halogen sealed beams 2 years ago and they cracked after two uses.
Those lights are crazy bright!!!!! Holy smokes!!!! Can’t believe all the snow you have!! We have had a pretty easy winter this year..nice change 😊 Yes I want to see headlight alignment video!!! Great video ❤Love to Duffers❤
Regarding the floor drain issue, you could pull the grate up and put some window screen over the hole then put the grate back on top of the screen to keep it in place. It might just be the best of both worlds.
Cheer's 🍻 mortske , I still cannot forget that my father had a 65 Buick Wildcat with a 4 speed before he went to Vietnam, he's sold it to his brother- got wrecked it' shit''' happens when you're having fun! Oil well that's life. Glad my uncle is alive.
You can visit your local carpet installers and pick up some remnant scraps and place over the grate. Water runs through debris stays out. Occasionally it can be pressure washed. Easy peasy lemon squeeze!
just when I was thinking its nice to see a car without mouse terds... they nested on the battery... even this dog guy got to say... a couple of outdoor/shop cats may not be the worlds worst idea.... great video (as usual)
My 1965 Malibu 4 Dr has all 4 T3 bulbs in it. For me they are bright enough. Back in the early 1980s I put aircraft landing lights in the high beam. Now those lights turned night into day instantly.
Hey Mortske: Nothing like some bright lights on your Buick... Definitely makes a statement and Duff likes it too...From the home of PB Blaster Silicone spray... Cleveland, Ohio.......
I got the email from Holley showing the lights. Thinking I should get them for my C10. Probably get the rear bulbs also. Thanks for the video. It's good to see how good they are.👍🇺🇸
Might be a good time to add that Buicks are North Dakota tested. Anyone who lives out in the boonies owns or has owned one and drove them till the wheels fell off. I personally drove one over 300K miles and when it died I rolled it over on the side of the road and shot it in the muffler, pulled the saddle off it and went and bought another Buick. Buicks and North Dakota what else can I say.
Good video on the Holly Lights. They do make quite a difference. I've had some close calls with a few animals at night. Went to LED, see down the road farther and wider path. Thanks for sharing 👍 Have a great Weekend 👋
Here in Australia they have to be checked when it goes over the pits, and every 12 months in most States, except South Australia, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
The nice thing about Holly is quality.. pop's won't have to worry about the lens turning yellow after a year. My mustang has standard bulbs on it. Dang, can't see nothing!! My 94 f150 LED'S on it I can see a jackrabbit on your property from the cornfield across the road from you. No it's a bean field. NO I'M NOT STALKING YOU!!! Kidding Mort. Nice lights and give Duff a pat on the side for me. Goood Boy.
Awesome! I daily a '60 Impala 4 door hardtop when it's not snow weather, and this will be a perfect upgrade from the standard incandescent headlights I'm currently running! THANK YOU!
Man you have some serious snow banks , you are one lucky man …lol. We have been on the decline for snow totals for over the last ten years, so when a fellow that plows and removes snow as part of their income sees a snow bank like yours …I see $$$. Love the LS swap and the new shiners . Oh and it looks 👀like a snow bank cause that’s what it is .👍👍 Shawn
I like the fact you respect your trash truck driver…clearing the snow around the dumpster and making sure the have plenty of room. I run an early morning route, And whenever it snows, the people here always pile their snow in front of the dumpster and bury it. They then call in and bitch because I didn’t pick up their trash.
Although I wired mine to a resistor. They draw power from the battery in instead of the factory wiring. The light switch still turn them off and on. I believe you'll burn the light switch up wiring the straight in.
They look great. Put leds in my old rig. They piss people off a little at night but see so much better than the old halogen bulbs. Pops will be impressed
LED headlights are a great upgrade. The fact that those Holley lights look more or less like stock is nice as well. The other thing about LED headlights is they draw much less power, which will put less current strain through your headlight switch. I plan on doing the Holley RetroBrights on my 67 Chevelle, which currently (see what I did there?) runs a set of Hella H4 halogens with a dual relay setup to keep the load off of the switch as well as puts full voltage to the lights, which makes them a bit brighter. Once I install the Holley LED's I will probably do away with that relay system. Thanks for the video review, Mortske, it really has helped me decide to do this upgrade. Take care, man, and give Duff an ear scratch or two from me.
Love that LS ! Those lights are nice since are bolt in and results are great. There's an unwritten rule that if you take something apart above the smallest hole, a screw or part will fall into that hole. I relearn that rule often unfortunately 😕.
I made my own poor man's power probe out of the "fancy" test light from harbor freight, the one that has 2 clips and lights red for power and green for ground. I added a momentary spdt toggle switch between each wire and the tip and a 5 amp mini fuse in series with the tip in case of shorts. Works great for testing and supplying power and ground and only cost a few bucks
Holy Smokes!!! You aligned your headlights. Man, no one does that anymore, and it's obvious. Thank you
After a long day at the office this made for an awesome surprise!
You would be surprised (or maybe not) at how many people don’t know how to change lights like that! I remember changing them on my 78 Pinto!😂
Ah The old Pinto, Ford's answer to the hand grenade
Ah The old Vega, Chevy's answer to the internal destruction engine!😆
@@glennnickerson8438 That's why smart people put small blocks in them and oh so lite too
Good morning Lord Duff and Sir Mortske hope all is well give Duff some love and pets lights looks good
Friday beer crew reporting in
Us old guys couldn’t see where the hell we were going, and we loved it!
But we made it where we was a going
A tasteful way to update a classic, keeping your dad and his ride safer.. Good stuff :D

That is a real nice car dad has to be happy with it now he'll see even better at night your a good man mortskee for taking care of him
Head light adjustment sounds good to me
Now you can say “ I SAW THE LIGHT “ my friend and with that can I get a hallelujah
66 skylark 4 doors are now cooler than ever. keep the upgades going.
I'm a Mopar guy but I'm in love with this car!👍👍👍
Boy that did make a big difference yes in Virginia in the mid seventies I worked at a service station and that was part of the state inspection as adjusting the headlights or checking them anyway
Good deal. I know people hate them. But man do they help see better. Doing a great job. Keep up the great work
Wow!! Now them are some lights!!!
DUDE! THE SOUND OF THE SOCKET PLOPPING IN THE WATER IN THE DRAIN MADE ME LOL! try a plastic mesh or a scrap of scrim fencing over said drain
Great video. I just ordered a set for my 1974 Galaxie 500, and I can’t wait to put them in. I replaced the original bulbs with Sylvania halogen sealed beams 2 years ago and they cracked after two uses.
Gotta get some! Used to be able to rob those flathead screws from old electrical fittings (in Australia)
The fact that they look original is the icing on this cupcake. Well done sir.
No snow here, it’s in the 80’s already brother! Thanks for sharing, you and Duff stay safe my friend!
Thanks, you too!
Such a nice car! Who knew that a 66 Skylark 4 door would be cool :) like the car the English teacher drove back when I was in High School
Had a headlight adjustment kit it was part of New York’s safety inspection until 2000
That made a hell of a difference.
That a huge difference looks good
Those lights are crazy bright!!!!! Holy smokes!!!! Can’t believe all the snow you have!! We have had a pretty easy winter this year..nice change 😊
Yes I want to see headlight alignment video!!!
Great video
❤Love to Duffers❤
I used to be a state inspector in Louisiana and there we had to check headlight alignment and adjust as needed. The more you know
Make America Great Again .We dont have Inspections in Florida
I love how at 12:19 you can actually hear the liquid “glub” as the spark plug socket finds its way to its watery grave 😂
Finally home from work to watch this. Thanks for the great content. Love when you call Duff a Goon. Thanks again for both channels.
good job real bright much better now your dad will be safe hi duff.
Regarding the floor drain issue, you could pull the grate up and put some window screen over the hole then put the grate back on top of the screen to keep it in place. It might just be the best of both worlds.
Or hardware cloth it will last longer
I was thinking he could put some cardboard over it when he's working with stuff that can fall in but that's a good idea with a window screen.
We use old mud flaps off of semi trucks in the shop. Kick em over top of the floor drain when you know you'll be working above the drain.
Or any rubber floor mat
Man, it seems like it's been winter up there for years.
agreed!
Great way to start the weekend, I really love Buicks and in particularly this one! 😊
I meant to say was a Grand Sport Buick with a wildcat engine for 445 and that meant the torque output.
I actually like those. Thank you for sharing. Pennsylvania still checks headlight alignment for state inspection.
My favourite car's back again, can't fault ya.
Duff says he knew it would be a Bright Idea.
Can't wait til the weather gets warmer and you're wearing that straw hat instead of that winter beanie!😆 It is a cool hat--I need to order one!
Can't wait!

So much better than those spider eye looking jobbies. I'm about to look them up.

as long as they don't blind oncoming traffic I have been blinded by these led style headlights before
Yes. Adjust head light is a must.
Oh Boy, that's a nice looking car!
Glad to see that Buick getting some serious illumination. Was wondering if they're worth it, and your preview comparison said it all.
I mean… i know how to do it, but I’m still requesting you show us all, in the world, how to properly adjust your headlights 👌

You bet
Love your videos awesome content❤ ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😀
That's so cool looking!
Love the retrobrights but hate the price. They're totally worth it for keeping the car normal looking and improving the night driving though.
Wow- another new garage? Mr. success!
Like you said, I like that the Holley RetroBrights don't look cheesy like those multi-bulb LED choices do. I plan on buying these.
Good call!

Awesome video, Glad that you are taking care of your dad and his needs with his car. The headlights are amazing
Those are impressive though ... I'm sold !
Awesome! I daily a '60 Impala 4 door hardtop when it's not snow weather, and this will be a perfect upgrade from the standard incandescent headlights I'm currently running! THANK YOU!
Man you never disappoint. Looks real good. God Bless my Friend and have a good one.
A set of these was a massive game changer for me, not trying to be a holley shill but one of the smartest products ive bought.
Definitely a great product

Wow! Those new headlights make quite the difference. Good deal!
Holy cow those are like night and day pun intended 😂
Much more gooder 👍
Get you some aluminum window screen to lay over the Greta drain. Great upgrade on the headlights.
Those are some nice looking upgrades for the old Buick

Thank you for blinding me all the way in Mississippi. Nice upgrade by the way. :)
Any time!
Awesome thanks for making this video now I know what to put in my 65 Corvair
Another fun vid! Thanks! yeah lets see a HD adj on the Tow pig!

haha
I've done the headlights swap on my old truck also. Makes a huge difference

@@moremortskerepair4354 yeah sorry. A rely
Hello sweet. Mama card here three days late, but finally made it.
ALRIGHT Mortske you have me worried about myself! I just watched a video of yours titled Headlight Upgrade. I have to get out more! ;)
Nice when you have plug and play and what a difference , they look terrific . Stuart in Canada............
Yes they are!
I like factory however this is a nice upgrade to have and battle back the people with led bar lights
Kevin,we live in Orlando and right now at 7:25 pm it’s 75 I lived in Mass for over 60 yrs, I feel your pain. Stay warm.
They look great. Put leds in my old rig. They piss people off a little at night but see so much better than the old halogen bulbs. Pops will be impressed
Alot new cars need the lights adjusted for crap sake . Old cars should be easier I believe. That Buick is Awesome btw Mortske

Blinded by the light🤪 !!! That's a really nice car,Check out that AWESOME forklift She's a beaut Clark 🤣
Man, thanks for doing this. I've wanted to upgrade my 442 and now that I see what it looks like... Done. Thanks my man!
I for one would like to see how YOU adjust headlights
Love that LS ! Those lights are nice since are bolt in and results are great. There's an unwritten rule that if you take something apart above the smallest hole, a screw or part will fall into that hole. I relearn that rule often unfortunately 😕.
The Smith Law?
Part of Murphy's law
"Munster's" like theme song at 14:29. Awesome.
Man those are bright.

Awes
Nice Buick. I guess I am strange because I love classic 4-door and station wagons. As one gets older good headlights are a must.👍
Nice upgrade! Thinking about trying those out on my 76 Gran Torino.
I put those in my F100. Instead of the bright white, I went with the more vintage yellow shade, but damn, they just work.
