Noah's Ark is actually a boat. Or more correctly a massive ship. The Hebrew word is Tebah ( תֵּבָה ) and "Teba" does not mean a box as it has been incorrectly translated by the Europeans. The meaning of תֵּבָה is "protected house." Now what do you think that this house was protected from? The answer: "water." And what kind of house is protected from water? The answer: a boat or a ship. Yahweh told Noah to build not a box but a ship. Because a box cannot float in water. But a ship can. That same word "Teba" ( תֵּבָה ) was also used to describe the vessel that bore Moses upon the River Nile. This is interesting that this video should come across my timeline. I was binge watching the series Hercules the legendary journeys I used to watch it when I was a kid. The one starring Kevin Sorbo. I was in season 5 the episodes where Gina Torres and the dude from Candyman were playing Sumerians. Noah's Ark is actually a boat. Or more correctly a massive ship. The Hebrew word is Tebah ( תֵּבָה ) and "Teba" does not mean a box as it has been incorrectly translated by the Europeans. The meaning of תֵּבָה is "protected house."
Now what do you think that this house was protected from? The answer: "water." And what kind of house is protected from water? The answer: a boat or a ship.
Yahweh told Noah to build not a box but a ship. Because a box cannot float in water. But a ship can.
That same word "Teba" ( תֵּבָה ) was also used to describe the vessel that bore Moses upon the River Nile. The little boat that protected Moses from the waters of the River Nile was made from reeds or rafia made waterproof with tar taken from the ground. Tar is also known as bitumen.
I have seen in the past large boats being built by the Ilaje people, one of the tribes of the Yorubas, with wood hewn out of trees and water sealed with bitumen.
