Your videos are da bomb! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. I have some questions. I’ve done this bustle a couple times-takes me forever in what I call my pre bustle phase. Do you start at the center back and work to sides or, what’s the best process? Do you bustle each layer separately? You touched on an issue for two of my current brides who want this bustle. Small wedding and then big reception a couple months later. I explained it could be very grimy at the floor edge after her beach ceremony and initial reception. Any suggestions?
That is a beautiful job, but being chiffon, won't the dress be ruined rubbing on the floor? I am struggling with a chiffon godet on the sides of a fit and flare to raise them just a little. Any suggestions? I am using your method of (french bustle) attaching train to the lining on this dress and it looks much better. The main fabric is a crepe knit, so it has some body. Love your vidoes; always pick up a hint to use each time I watch. Thank you!!
Yes the bottom edge needs to be discussed with the bride. It either will be dirty and worn/torn or it needs to me much higher of a finish to help mitigate that. This particular bride isn't wearing it again for photos and doesn't mind if it's dirty or anything. Some brides do mind and some don't... I go over it very carefully to make sure they understand what to expect so they can change their mind if they want to.
I absolutely love this and your baby!!!😂 that was the epic point to the dress! Showing bride what she has to look forward to in her life ;)
Fantastic! Very clever, thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent ❤
Beautiful, thanks for sharing
Thank you! I hope this helps 🥰
Wow! Stunning
Thanks for sharing your talents. Where did you get the crochet thread, or did you make it then spool it up?
