Just bought one. It was second hand and a very good price. Still, you always wonder whether you're about to.buy a donkey. I looked at LOOPOP's comparison video with the Audiofuse bigger models released last year. As soon as I heard LOOPOP say that he had this and has used it for a four or five years, I hit "buy". Simple really. The reviewer you can trust. Thank you Loopop!! It looks and sounds beautiful.
You'll love it. I have moved from Audient ID.4 to UA 276 Volt.. to this. This was well worth the price.. has just the right inputs for small home studio, features, etc. Just know it gets pretty warm in use.. but it's expected.. the metal case is basically a big heat sink.
@loopop recording like this with soft synths and then overdubbing vocals through soft fx.....what kind of latency are you experiencing?? . I really like the hardware fomat and ins/outs of the audiofuse but coming from a dsp based system im worried about round trip latency
it depends on your buffer size, not much different from other interfaces in my experience - there's a direct monitoring feature if you want zero latency, but no fx on that of course
thanks for the video, very direct to the point with the things that are interesting, one question, I have an iPad Pro 11 (USBC connection) how can I connect it to it? thanks
Can the audiofuse double as a standalone live concert preamp for a vocal mic without being attached to a computer? Maybe if I do all the necessary software setup before?
Hi there..first thx a lot for your amazing and helpful reviews!!! I bought now finaly the audiofuse for my little bedroom studio...like to ask you is it possible to use the Fabfilter Suite via my IpadPro conected on the Audiofuse an to integrate it to my Abelton Life 10 like I VST or do you maybe know a other solution? Thanks in advance
Hi nice very nice review!!!! I was wondering if you could answer this question... Is it possible to use output A and B at the same time ??? I mean, for ex, in your DAW you have 4 mono instruments recorded, and may be you could route then like guitar to A(L) and bass to A(R) (thats speaker 1) and keyboard to B(L) and drums to B(R) (thats speker 2).... is that possible??? like presonus studio 26 or scarlet 2i4 . . .THanksssss
@@tammy1001 Did you eventually find this out? I personally don’t think you can, but iConnect has a few interfaces that support dual computers/ iPads/ iPhones.
Hi loopop, is it possible to power the Audiofuse with an external powerbank, use this audio interface with the iPad *and* power the iPad with the same powerbank? Best and thanks in advance!
did some checking and the USB port won't power devices that need a lot of power IE launchpad pro... but for USB keys it will... btw, your music tech videos are incredible. keep it up
Hodari Reuben Clarke thanks ;) btw it powers them fine when it itself is using a power supply. I thought you meant if it’s on battery power. I use it with USB devices all the time (most times all slots are full...)
This is insane. This is all running on an ipad?! What sort of latency do you get with this thing in something like Ableton? seems fast enough to record guitars with low latency?
@@loopop really ? In sound on sound's review they talk about quite bad latency in their opinion , to do with the drivers on PC but i see you use this a lot... any thoughts on that?
Elliot Davidson it depends whether you measure relative to other interfaces or what is noticeable - I just adjust for the delay (11ms at 128 samples) when sequencing external gear. Funny as it sounds I prefer it to others for non audio related features (knobs, outputs, usb hub)
@@elliotdavidson7137 I had a look at the sound on sound review so I had to check my motu - 14ms latency on 128 samples - so, worse than Audiofuse with a "generic" core audio driver
Seems really cool, a Swiss Army knife indeed. I saw you were running patterning for your drums, was that output via the iPads headphone jack or via the usb?
loopop Ok, that’s a game changer for me since I use my iPhone 7 for sequencing synths. But since I don’t have a headphone jack I’ve never been able to get audio and midi out at the same time.. tried Lightning’s splitters and everything. Do you know of any interfaces which are less premium that has a usb hub aswell? Thanks for the reply!
Michael Hellqvist yeah it works great on an iPhone 7 (the one you see me hook it up to later in the video is an iPhone 7). I don’t know of any others with a USB hub - that and MIDI out are such cool features - kind of like a docking station for your iPhone.... but I agree it isn’t cheap
loopop ok cool, with so many great synth apps for both sequencing and sound generating it’s hard to write off the iOS platform, so it great to see a interface that makes it easy to implement with your set up I mean midi I/o and audio I/o through one port is awesome.
When I tried it out, I had some problems with the little micro USB connector at the backside of the device. The plug is a bit loose (by design as it seems). So, in USB-powered mode when I moved the AudioFuse a bit, I got REALLY loud pops on my speakers (because the interface/power supply disconnected for a short moment). Did you experience similar things (or tried moving the USB-cable a bit)? In the end I returned it to the retailer. (if you should read this, Arturia, please feel free to comment ;) I mean, i like the concept, but the pops are a no-go for me.)
HörGräte I didn’t experience it before but just to make sure I tried it no. No wiggle problems. If you completely power off the unit then yes, there a pop, like with any other device I connect to my speakers without lowering the volume - if you know how to avoid that let me know...
Hi Loopop, This is an excellent comprehensive video... thanks for the work you have put in. I have one of these now for one day, please can you advise regarding the Output level knob (big knob centre top) how does it operate..? i.e. is it purely for the speakers..? also it just turns and turns either way, there seems to be no limit stop or start position. Much appreciated again for your most helpful video and obliged for any advise on my early days of familiarisation Alan
Thanks! The big knob is an endless encoder, not a potentiometer, and it controls the level of whatever you're listening to (main, cue 1 or cue 2). You know the level because when you turn it the LEDs turn blue to reflect its position
@@loopop Thanks Loopop, does it only work for output to the speakers though..?. As when I record something I would be listening with headphones using the headphones volume knobs for mixing..? Thanks
@@loopop Yes I realise that that the headphones have their own control knobs, what I'm asking is - does the big knob only control the output to the speakers.. Thanks
Hello! I have an AudioFuse, can I connect the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 250 Ohm headphones directly to my audio interface? Or do I have to use a headphone amplifier for 250 Ohm? In This Link the specifications, but the truth is not very clear to me. www.arturia.com/audiofuse/details
FRU OLLi none so far. I think that guy got a bad unit, or maybe didn’t update his firmware. It’s still very warm where I live and the unit does run hot but not something unbearable - it’s been on now for more than a week. Buttons work fine. Now I just need to get me an Apollo Twin....

Great example of all the ins and outs / way more than any other in price range. Sounds awesome with great specs, killer mic pres.
My god that software UI is beautiful
Wow. Excellent review. Thank you.
Best interface nobody ever talks about!
Brilliant, thanks for making this
Excellent. Btw has the hardware been trouble free. Thanks.
excellent review
but I didn't get it, how many separate channels can go from iPad to Audiofuse and back?
I'd like an Audio Fuse!

With a regular micro USB adapter. You’ll need to power audiofuse using its power supply
