I love how this shows the origin story of hoodoo - the mirror scene is just wicked.

I think his style totally fits Psychopathic. Its wicked. Its deep. His flow isn't over the top or trying to hard. Its real. Its personable. I can picture his stage drops and on stage persona. Hopefully his album hits just as hard as this song. Honestly at first I was skeptical. After thought and hearing the song more I've come to realize this is the new era of Psychopathic. I'm fine with that. ICP, etc has made my life worth living these past years.

I liked Hoodoo. Lots of this album I could tell had the traditional debut album"Violent J" strings attached to it. Kinda like Zug Izland, Boondox ect.
I really feel like Hoodoo fully showcased his skills on his next album. Its just Asylum wasn't promoted as much as this album.
Crystal Skull was a fun debut for the Big Hoodoo gimmick. Not sure if hes still running with it post Psychopathic Records. I know he put out Red Book, but I haven't heard much on Doe Dubbla since like 2022.

I feel like the whole Big Hoodoo character is something that Violent J probably came up with a bit ago, look at all the voodoo references ICP's made over the years, they were just looking for the right guy to fill it. And honestly? That's not really a bad thing. Yea the whole concept may be a tad over the top, but Hoodoo is a decent rapper, fun to listen to, and the beat is great. All in all, it's not bad at all. This definitely deserves a listen. Don't diss all the new stuff cuz it's different!
