- Kicking off Series 6 and episode 87 of the Gymnastics Growth Show is a four way conversation amongst friends. I invited Ross Falsetta, Jack Hedges and Reiss Beckford to the studio to discuss all things coaching.
Ross is the Head Coach of the Woman's programme at South Essex Gymnastics Club and a personal coach of Great Britain's Georgia Mae Fenton. Reiss Beckford is a former international gymnast for Great Britain and Jamaica, and is now a performance coach in the fitness and wellness space. Finally, Jack Hedges is a fantastic Woman's Artistic Coach also from Great Britain.
In this conversation we delve into our coaching journeys and passion for the sport, being curious, spotting and so much more.

Loved listening to this!
Thanks for listening Sophie :) Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely loved this episode - every coach, regardless of age/level/discipline they coach, should watch/listen to this! So much gold ❤
Me and my friend call it the “junior coach effect” where coaching like a junior coach is in a lot of cases just as effective as coaching like a veteran coach, all the simple intuitive things are given more time and focus and the ego of the coach isn’t as closely tied up in the athletes they coach.
Loved this, felt a lot of parallels, being an ex high level parkour athlete, and having an obsession phase coaching gymnastics with a friend too. Please do more thanks Nick.
Look out for new episodes every Monday!
As a new level 1 coach (purely because my daughter is a squad gymnast), this was great to hear. I work in education and PE so passion for sport is there, though learning gymnastics in particular has been the most exciting sport I've ever learned about. Great episode.
Thanks for taking the time to watch, we're glad you enjoyed it!
@ross I think you maybe talking about my daughter Sadie at the Notts camp on the bars? She walked out of there so pleased, she thought you were an amazing coach and she loved working with you.
If it’s not her, just know that you had a big impact on building her confidence too. Thank you!
Ross is a great asset to the gymnastics community, I'm not surprised your daughter had a great experience with his coaching!
Great conversation!! ❤
Thanks so much for joining me, great discussion
I reckon this should be a regular slot!
