Hi Guys; great video. The pictures are so much better than what I took with my phone. Me and Ben went back end of October last year to try it again, but unfortunately the lakes had had heavy rain for a week before we went and it rained for three days while we were walking; everywhere was flooded and boggy very difficult to find places to camp. A lot of campsites closed early for the season due to being flooded. We had to call it off and we are planning to go back this April/May depending on work. Definitely finish it this time. I did the Hadrian's Wall walk in stages over a few weekends last year weather was pretty poor on that too, seems to be a theme here. Anyway good luck with your ventures this Year.
Thanks Gary! Yeah weather has been and will always be our biggest obstacle. We were supposed to do the Isle of Skye last year but got scared with the thunderstorm forecast, so we went down south and did the Gower coast path and then dorset coast path on separate weeks. Good luck on your next adventure, too. Our little hiker is on the way due this coming june, so we won't be doing long walks for now.
Not long now then. we took our youngest on family camping holidays from about 4-5 months old. We did stay on camp sites then as it was easier to look after his needs and he loved it all the way up to his teenage years, but then grew out of it once the gaming frenzy took over his generation. He still comes out now and again with me but only on short walks. I have lots of hikes planned but most are only 2-4 days as being self employed makes it harder to take time off, so just long weekends away this year. That said Cumbria way and maybe the Arran coastal way are on my list for this year too, work permitting. Take care and hope the little hiker grows to love the outdoors as much as you two.
@@garyyoung869 Amazing for bringing them out at a very young age, We hope as well this year, If the delivery runs smoothly, I mean not C section, we will try to go outdoors if possible. Yes you're right , the generation today really is different, even US (Me and Ella) are part of that and we try to shy away from that lifestyle. Good luck with you plans for this year. and good luck to US as well. Hope to see you again on trails :)
