    Aww would you believe I was a kid in the 70s he stayed next door on Fisher cres in East Tamaki loved it could hear him.sing at the ET or flying jug back in the day. The best times heaps of adults having parties loved the sounz. Im 65 now miss the ole days💯😊😊

    Still listening to this legend in 2023 and he still brings joy. Even though I hear the same old jokes year on year, it still makes me chuckle. He never made fun of anyone - only of himself. And THAT is the key to true comedy!

    Awesome video. Reminds me of my Mum and Dad. They would tell stories, when Prince Tui Teka would play at the Ellerslie Oaks Pub, in Auckland. Where my Parents both worked. His Charisma, Jokes, just Tui Tekas, Persona. Just a Lovely man, My Mum would say. A kind man, with a Big Heart. He touched alot of True Kiwi New Zealanders, with his Music, and His Lovely voice.

    I was born in Rotarua but raised in Qld most of my life and my uncle Allen use to listen to prince all the time and told me we were related to prince tui tea and when I knew he passed away I actually wrote a letter on xmas eve to him and asked him to send me a barbie for Christmas lol don't know why I use to think he was my maori Santa Claus..i was 6years old..till this day I still remember his beautiful voice..thank you for the barbie hehe and the great memories I have of my uncle..xoxo

    Prince was a regular at the Mayfair Hotel in Hastings, such an entertainer and the crowds were always a friendly mix of Maori's and Pakeha's

    the late Billy t james used to do billy conolly type monologues about his time on the sydney club circuit with Tui and boy oh boy youd be rolling around laughing,preferably with empty bladder .Ive a 2cd set of tui&co in concert in my truck and on long trips it gets hammered!

    Even though isn't related to my family by blood, we all see him as family from playing in the Maori volcanics. Playing with my uncle Bill and aunty mahora. Wish I could've been alive to see him

    Cheeky Bugger. Gosh I would have loved to see him in concert. Get a load of the non-smiling blondes. I am pakeha and love his humour. Just one of the best. Along with Billy T, not NZ without them.

    wonderful entertainer, sd loss for new zealand and a particulary sad day for my family as my mothers sister died the same day leaving 2 very young kids without a mum ,,,, will never forget his or her memorium
