- Attorney Tony Buzbee filed an amended complaint on behalf of a woman who says she was raped at a party held by Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2000. “Celebrity A” has now been identified as Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z. The rapper blasted Buzbee and the lawsuit, calling the lawsuit blackmail. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber has all the details from the updated civil action.

Civil cases that usually turn into criminal cases if there is enough evidence. The same thing happened to r Kelly and last time I checked he was also friends with Jay z and p Diddy

Civil suit rulings are based on preponderance of evidence.
Federal cases are more complicated and there is a great risk of jury biased especially in high profile cases.
There have been many instances that there are no criminal charges brought until after a civil suit has been won. I would suspect that the feds will be watching this case closely, especially because they want to bring more charges against diddler.
