One can be spiritually awakened, while appreciating pleasures of the physical world - examples - George Gurjief, Leo Gura and Sadhguru himself. After enlightenment, one can seem egoistic without having ego, heres why - once you realize there's no you and there's only one, you still don't have direct access to all of you. you can choose which part of you (As one whole) will have a treat. some people choose to spoil the part wich they can fully control, wich is their own physical bodies and that's perfectly okey. If you have problem with this, it means that you have not realized that there's only one. If you did why would you care that sadghuru likes luxury, when he is another you (especially when you care about it in a negative way) P.S. Sadhguru has a very pragmatic way of looking at life. I find some of his ideas pseudo science but I take what I want from his lectures. I don't have to go to India and pay money to receive some enlightenment - I can find it for free on TH-cam. It's a great deal.
He says that if God comes, he will not worry about God cos he doesn't care about God. Yet, he cant even stop himself from growing old or passing stool. Just like he cannot call himself the the president of the USA. That would be absurd. Calling him a guru is misleading and misinformation. One has to have the proper qualifications of guru to be accepted as such and those qualifications are fully outlined in the Vedic literatures, which are the source or origin of the word guru. That is my point. And in terms of not following anyone else's rules, that's not entirely true, as he still has to follow the rules of the state or country he visits. He still needs a passport and visa and he is subject to universal laws including birth, old age, disease and death.

Seeking and searching.... That was me for my whole life. Tried it all. Had some powerful (but not lasting) experiences using different practices (everything from pagan/black magic/white magic, to Hindu, to Buddhism, to New Age, Yoga/Kundalini, etc etc), nothing lasted or stuck until I met the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. I've read a few of his books and seen several of his videos. I don't see or read anything that screams ego. He is simply sharing his experience. This same type of judgement can be made for Teachers, Preachers, Pastors, Rabbis and so on. Focus on your inner self. That's the Marrow of life. Connect with the divine light within yourself. Anyone who preaches a specific "Religiosity" in order to reach enlightenment is selling false goods. Enlightenment already exists within each of us. You are unfortunately very misinformed. I have personal experience of what Sadhguru is capable of assisting you towards. I've literally exploded into ecstasy from a distance after Sadhguru simply pointed at me.
Sadhguru teaches a path to greater wisdom and awareness. He has a clear and enlightened mind. I don't follow him directly other than watch his videos. I have followed many of the current great teachers and past ones as well. I have studied Buddhism, Tao, and Hindu in-depth for many years. I have studied and practiced holistic and Asian health practices for over 40 years. I know a fake when I see one, and Sadhguru is no fake. He has a true and deep connection to the highest levels of consciousness. That is what a guru should have. You can have nice things as long as you are not attached to them. When you are not attached they come to you naturally. 😊👍❤

Sadguru talk less about enlightenment and more of other aspects of life. He saved my life with his wisdom that he broadcast through the Internet. He speaks English very well and is taking the historical Indian wisdom to the world. He made us appreciate nature and each other better, bringing the world closer. I watch to videos like these to challenge myself. But I have too many experiences of IE and some of the free guided practices like nadi shuddhi and Ishakriya (which combines very well, btw, and in that order) that is available on Sadhguru and Isha YT channels, doing great things for me and my life experience. To me a donation offered every once in a while when I can afford it is a tiny, tiny token of gratitude of what he so freely has given me with no strings attached except for the ones made clear to me before signing up for IE. It is, actually, as Sadhguru says: Without experience, it is all just good stories. Or bad stories, I guess to some people. So I think one additional reason why this particular video didn't get much under my skin is simply that uploader clearly could not dream of taking IE and doing it as instructed for the instructed period of time. To the point, even, where it would not occur to him as a point of research for the video. He is japping to the best of his ability; to the extend of his current perspective and perception. And he is not conscious of how this is so and can't be any other way until he himself remedies it - by doing inner engineering. Go see the giraffe, as the saying will have it.

I have been practicing isha's kriya's and meditation for the past 14 years. Though I am not in the ashram, I spend 2.5 hrs daily for my practices. Slowly, I began to realize movement of energy within the body in the pattern of 7 chakras. But I rarely experienced ecstacy. However, I have experienced my body where the outer boundary has become like a seive with energy moving in and out of my system. This happens when I maintain focus on my breath.
It took you 14 years? I think you have a chakra block. I had been to his Tennessee ashrama once, and he took one look at me and realised that I have unlimited energy which needed to be channeled. He taught me the shunya kriya on day one. Now because of my mastery of the shunya kriya I can travel the world, just travel through space and time. For example I went to Lithuania next week and will come back last year. Scambhoooooooooo.
That's common knowledge for anyone who do meditation using breath meditation...that is not Sathguru meditation method, in Budhha's meditation methods, breath meditation is used and Buddha lived 2600 years ago. This sadguru guy is an absolute con man, reason how I know is that he tried talking about Buddha and his teaching, he knew nothing, and he was just conning people lieing to them knowing very well the Indians do not know anything about Buddha Dharma... I am not an Indian, I studdy Buddha's teaching and I can say that I can teach anyone about Buddha Dharma and also I have practised Buddha's meditation method called Satipattana, when Sadguru was talking about Buddha and his stories, i knew this guy was conning people.
They call these paths a "practice" because that is exactly what you have to do to advance - practice! I started to learn Eastern energy practices about 40 years ago when I studied Tai Chi and Chinese Medicine. Back then I was only a beginner but I had some amazing experiences which showed me this stuff is real. I was lucky to have found some great masters who were the real deal. Since then I've also been lucky to learn from many of the contemporary teachers and masters who are alive today. So I feel I have very good judgement as to when someone is full of BS. My feeling after watching many Sadhguru videos is he is the real deal. He is a true mystic and knows what he is talking about. Maybe when it comes to Buddhism he is not a real expert and should leave the details up to someone who really knows. I went to lectures on Buddhism by a true scholar and I didn't find anything Sadhguru said to be way off the mark. But I think he spoke in more broad terms and didn't go into details on the Suttas, that's OK with me. I also studied Hindu for several years and Sadhguru seems to know those beliefs pretty well. Even though as he has said he is a mystic and has not really read all the Vedas and other spiritual scriptures of the Hindu tradition either. And again that is OK with me. If you become enlightened there is no need for all that other knowledge. Knowledge is just empty words in your head unless you take action on it and truly realize it from experience. That is the quintessential point of his teachings. I think he's great and other people who don't like him are making up excuses and cherry picking reasons to not like him. And I've studied with many other great teachers so I have good experience to compare him and even judge him by. People complain about him have a nice motorcycle. He rode one for years when he was younger. Then he was a successful business man for many years before becoming Sadhguru. He was not poor. Why not have a nice motorcycle. It shows he is smart. He rode 8,000 miles across the US to visit Native American Spiritual sites. That is an amazing feat. I would love to see anyone who complains about him do this. They would not make it 1,000 miles, maybe not 100 miles. It was feat of great endurance and I totally respect and admire him for his ability and his motivation for doing it. He was definitely not in it for some kind of glory because he never got any. The most he got was a really sore butt. But of course he visited some celebrities too because celebs are smart and they also understand spiritual practices and want to achieve better goals in their personal practice. So of course they want to connect with him and learn from him. Honestly people find the most foolish things to complain about.

For example, if someone says "Pay me $1000 and I will give you secrets nobody else has" - even though all the spiritual secrets are in our scriptures, which can be found for free - than its a scam.

I have been using Isha’s / Sadhguru’s methods and they work very well. I am not following him to worship him, but rather to learn how to enhance my life. But of course I have huge respect to him. This video is just about ignorance and unnecessary hatred. You should notice where all that money Isha gathers, is really going: to education, taking care of the environment etc.

I used to enjoy this guru's talks and I found a free yoga session held by Isha foundation in a temple in Vancouver. I got so excited and registered for the class. I drove for 40 minutes to the temple! But there was no such thing as a yoga instructor or class!!! They put a TH-cam video of yoga lesson for 90 minutes!! And at the end they introduced the inner engineering and other sh..t they wanted to sell!! I hated it and I realized the reason why they bring people like me from 40 kilometres away is to rip off their money! Thanks for this video. When I was in my twenties I was hoping to go over to India to find myself a guru because I wanted someone to tell me what to do in this life rather than figure it out for myself. I'm grateful that I never took that trip now. Behind every guru you will find a power hungry human. It seems that the only guru I have ever met in this lifetime constantly reminded everyone that she was not special and not above anyone and when we used to ask her questions she would always ask us to figure it out for ourselves because she could only speak words and the lessons come from experience not another person's words.

After enlightenment, one can seem egoistic without having ego, heres why - once you realize there's no you and there's only one, you still don't have direct access to all of you. you can choose which part of you (As one whole) will have a treat. some people choose to spoil the part wich they can fully control, wich is their own physical bodies and that's perfectly okey. If you have problem with this, it means that you have not realized that there's only one. God is not an old man.

Just like he cannot call himself the the president of the USA. That would be absurd. Calling him a guru is misleading and misinformation. One has to have the proper qualifications of guru to be accepted as such and those qualifications are fully outlined in the Vedic literatures, which are the source or origin of the word guru. That is my point.
And in terms of not following anyone else's rules, that's not entirely true, as he still has to follow the rules of the state or country he visits. He still needs a passport and visa and he is subject to universal laws including birth, old age, disease and death.

Seeking and searching.... That was me for my whole life. Tried it all. Had some powerful (but not lasting) experiences using different practices (everything from pagan/black magic/white magic, to Hindu, to Buddhism, to New Age, Yoga/Kundalini, etc etc), nothing lasted or stuck until I met the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.

Sadhguru teaches a path to greater wisdom and awareness. He has a clear and enlightened mind. I don't follow him directly other than watch his videos. I have followed many of the current great teachers and past ones as well. I have studied Buddhism, Tao, and Hindu in-depth for many years. I have studied and practiced holistic and Asian health practices for over 40 years. I know a fake when I see one, and Sadhguru is no fake. He has a true and deep connection to the highest levels of consciousness. That is what a guru should have.

I watch to videos like these to challenge myself. But I have too many experiences of IE and some of the free guided practices like nadi shuddhi and Ishakriya (which combines very well, btw, and in that order) that is available on Sadhguru and Isha YT channels, doing great things for me and my life experience. To me a donation offered every once in a while when I can afford it is a tiny, tiny token of gratitude of what he so freely has given me with no strings attached except for the ones made clear to me before signing up for IE.
It is, actually, as Sadhguru says: Without experience, it is all just good stories. Or bad stories, I guess to some people. So I think one additional reason why this particular video didn't get much under my skin is simply that uploader clearly could not dream of taking IE and doing it as instructed for the instructed period of time. To the point, even, where it would not occur to him as a point of research for the video. He is japping to the best of his ability; to the extend of his current perspective and perception. I have been practicing isha's kriya's and meditation for the past 14 years. Though I am not in the ashram, I spend 2.5 hrs daily for my practices. Slowly, I began to realize movement of energy within the body in the pattern of 7 chakras. But I rarely experienced ecstacy. However, I have experienced my body where the outer boundary has become like a seive with energy moving in and out of my system. This happens when I maintain focus on my breath.

That's common knowledge for anyone who do meditation using breath meditation...that is not Sathguru meditation method, in Budhha's meditation methods, breath meditation is used and Buddha lived 2600 years ago. This sadguru guy is an absolute con man, reason how I know is that he tried talking about Buddha and his teaching, he knew nothing, and he was just conning people lieing to them knowing very well the Indians do not know anything about Buddha Dharma... They call these paths a "practice" because that is exactly what you have to do to advance - practice! I started to learn Eastern energy practices about 40 years ago when I studied Tai Chi and Chinese Medicine. Back then I was only a beginner but I had some amazing experiences which showed me this stuff is real. I was lucky to have found some great masters who were the real deal.
Since then I've also been lucky to learn from many of the contemporary teachers and masters who are alive today. So I feel I have very good judgement as to when someone is full of BS.
My feeling after watching many Sadhguru videos is he is the real deal. He is a true mystic and knows what he is talking about. Maybe when it comes to Buddhism he is not a real expert and should leave the details up to someone who really knows. I went to lectures on Buddhism by a true scholar and I didn't find anything Sadhguru said to be way off the mark. But I think he spoke in more broad terms and didn't go into details on the Suttas, that's OK with me.
I also studied Hindu for several years and Sadhguru seems to know those beliefs pretty well. Even though as he has said he is a mystic and has not really read all the Vedas and other spiritual scriptures of the Hindu tradition either. And again that is OK with me. If you become enlightened there is no need for all that other knowledge. Knowledge is just empty words in your head unless you take action on it and truly realize it from experience. That is the quintessential point of his teachings. I think he's great and other people who don't like him are making up excuses and cherry picking reasons to not like him. And I've studied with many other great teachers so I have good experience to compare him and even judge him by.
People complain about him have a nice motorcycle. He rode one for years when he was younger. Then he was a successful business man for many years before becoming Sadhguru. He was not poor. Why not have a nice motorcycle. It shows he is smart. He rode 8,000 miles across the US to visit Native American Spiritual sites. That is an amazing feat. I would love to see anyone who complains about him do this. They would not make it 1,000 miles, maybe not 100 miles. It was feat of great endurance and I totally respect and admire him for his ability and his motivation for doing it. He was definitely not in it for some kind of glory because he never got any. The most he got was a really sore butt. But of course he visited some celebrities too because celebs are smart and they also understand spiritual practices and want to achieve better goals in their personal practice. So of course they want to connect with him and learn from him. Honestly people find the most foolish things to complain about.

I used to enjoy this guru's talks and I found a free yoga session held by Isha foundation in a temple in Vancouver. I got so excited and registered for the class. I drove for 40 minutes to the temple! But there was no such thing as a yoga instructor or class!!! They put a TH-cam video of yoga lesson for 90 minutes!! And at the end they introduced the inner engineering and other sh..t they wanted to sell!! I hated it and I realized the reason why they bring people like me from 40 kilometres away is to rip off their money! Thanks for this video. I'm grateful that I never took that trip now. Behind every guru you will find a power hungry human. It seems that the only guru I have ever met in this lifetime constantly reminded everyone that she was not special and not above anyone and when we used to ask her questions she would always ask us to figure it out for ourselves because she could only speak words and the lessons come from experience not another person's words.
